    Very well done video! I just hit 10 years and 87,000 miles on my Pro4x and have been looking at the same setup. Thanks!

    Would be nice to add the extra rubber hardware in the description

    Couple of things I suggest and also one that Bilstein suggests.
    Bilstein - wait to tighten and torque the bottom bolt with the weight of the vehicle on it. I put the jack under the lower ball joint and lifted the suspension before torquing, Bilstein says, with the tire on the ground.
    Loosening the upper ball joint gives room for the taller height.
    Leaving the top nuts loosened helps with alignment of the bottom bolt.

    If you have the other tire in the air as well, it takes the tension off the sway bar and makes it a little easier to get out.

    The last two times I've put these shocks on my Titan they have bottomed out way too easily over dips on the road.

    What size tires did you use? I've been running this set up with 1" blocks in the rear and love it.

    Did you install 5100 on the rear so all 4 match. I used the 5100 front and rear on my 2013 Ram 1500 4x4 and they were awesome, set my front to 2 inches.. Truck rode great.

    I own a 2012 pro4 x with 92,000 miles on it, I put the 5100 on front and back at about 45,000 because the factory shocks were garbage (both sets) thank god for warranties. I love these shocks the ride is awesome and feels solid. Great shocks…

    Did you need to do the rear to level it out as well? If you did where did you put the rear? Which level on the strut?

    Did you need camber bolts with this set up for the alignment?

    Do you have the part numbers for the springs from Amazon? Thanks!

    Did you have any issues with them sounding clunky at low speeds?

    Awesome video man!! Bilstien all the way. I'm going with the 6100's tho. IMO the 5100's are to small and I feel like that can't really handle the weight of the Titan.

    • @SledsandGear
      @SledsandGear  Před 8 měsíci

      Hmmm. I didn’t know there were 6100 s?

      Yeah, they have 6100's foe the Nissan Titan. I'm going the 6100's in the front and 5160 on the rear here soon

    If you go standard struts are they easier to install?

    • @SledsandGear
      @SledsandGear  Před rokem

      Possibly, but not dramatically easier

      I think what you are saying is if you buy the whole assembly with the spring installed then yes it's just in and out.

      @brockcamper2281 how would I know if my coilovers are bad? I have a 2012 nissan titan sv 4x4. About to change my kyb struts and shocks to bilstein and I'm clueless if I need the assembled ones with the coilovers or without. I'm at 138k miles the shocks and struts have been changed once from factory to kyb at 40k miles.

      Be a lot easier if you lifted the other side take pressure of the sway bar

  • @holdensanders6472
    @holdensanders6472 Před 8 měsíci

    Get new control arms or your control arms will fail from hitting the top of the new shock there’s less space when you lift

    • @SledsandGear
      @SledsandGear  Před 8 měsíci +1

      I haven’t had a problem with contact. It’s been one year.

    • @jmend8859
      @jmend8859 Před 3 měsíci

      You don’t need new control arms unless you go above 3 inches
