My daughter is 11 yrs old, we are caucasian and baptized Anglican, she has read the quaran and has now wears a hijab and considers herself a Muslim, I am proud of her and support her fully, its a beautiful loving religion and I just hope and pray more people will educate themselves to become less ignorant and hateful

I have studied in Greece, and met a lot of people from a lot of countries, of all religions and I have a lot of muslim friends. I was in a rock band and half of us were muslims and they were very very good people. My best friend during college was actually a muslim guy from Kosovo named Mustafa and he was such a great guy. We really helped each other with projects, homework, advice in life. They are just people like us and I really can't comprehend how one can fear someone because of their name or religion...

That is true that Christians in pretty much every country in the Middle East are persecuted, but I disagree with the blanket statement that Muslims don't care. Muslims in the Middle East definitely need to be more outspoken against these crimes because they're the ones with the most power to change this. However, many Muslims do speak out about this.

I live in the gulf region & I have many christian friends that say it was one of their best decisions moving here, the job opportunities are great & life is affluent regardless of religion. The only place i would say they are prosecuted is saudi arabia, besides that its peace all around in my view. I don't know much about north african arab countries but i'm under the impression that there are many christian egyptians and lebanese and their def not facing prosecution.
I am a Christian from Egypt. Lebanon and the UAE probably have it best, although I have heard that other parts of the Gulf are not good for Christians. Egypt has the largest population of Christians in the Middle East, and there is still a lot of persecution. The rest of the countries in Middle East have it much worse, Syria and Iraq, particularly in recent years, and as you mentioned, places like Saudi Arabia have been very bad for centuries (they are not allowed to own bibles, let alone build churches). You can google persecution of Copts or Christians from other Middle Eastern countries if you are want more details.

I am from Poland and i love arabs. I specifically love how authentic and how faithful to their culture and religion they are. But as much as it pains me to say this, there's a lot of hate going on right now in our world, mainly coming from our leaders... I actually was almost born in the US too since my mom was studying there when she was pregnant with me and every relative we basically have tried to convince her on making me half american too but she just freaking insisted on her first daughter and child to be fully Kuwaiti😛 I don't know why I'm telling you this, I know you didn't ask for my life story lol anyways I have a question, are you in the US now?

Firstly, I beg to differ Steve Jobs was American and it was incidental that his birth father was Syrian. A similar set up to the King of Jordan, who is actually half British. What a contradiction the Syrians themselves are Arabized prior to that they were Phoenician. By that logic it would be difficult for people in Syria and Lebanon that want to reclaim there Phoenician roots to do so. A Syrian is no more or less arabized than an Egyptian. As for North Africans denying they are Arab well, maybe some of them aren't.

So I'm muslim from Serbia and I'm Bosnakian from town of Novi Pazar. And I wanna ask just your opinnion on Why are Arabs so cold againts other brothers muslims like mostly Syrian,Palestinian (targeting refugees) Bosnians, We in our town(Bosnakians from Sandzak and also Turkish people. For God sake we are all brothers and sisters but why are people in Arabia so cold against us? Is it because of money? Interest? WHAT IS ? Tbh I have some goods deeds and stuff that Arabs are good for.but Mostly my picture for Arab people is just pale and horrible. It is more on Arab people are just so damn selfish then they are good caring people. I wish it was reversed but that is truth.

Zed Oh stop trying to divert attention. I am not a Christian but i sure as hell know that no Christian country in the world executes Homosexuals or Apostates. The punishment for Apostates and Homosexuals is death and is commonly practised in the middle East. Honor killings, Female Genital Mutilation are all being practised today in the Islamic world. Sure the bible contains many similarities of punishments but the difference is that Christian countries are secular and no longer base everything on a book that has no evidence. In the Islamic world you do.

Aladino Honestly,the only way I believe we can have peace is that if all nations of the east (Especially the Gulf Arab countries) try and absorb self-Democratic mild secularism. Now don’t get me wrong I am religious myself,but if you knew the vast history of the east since perhaps the Islamic conquests,you would know that there was always going to be issues and discrimination based on religion and ethnic Grouping. For example an Arab Muslim would be on the top of the chain in society then let’s say a Mizrahi Jew who would’ve been facing discrimination from the other so called superior social groups. Also don’t get forget the Sunni-Shi’a Issues we have between Iran(Whose government will fall very soon btw) and Saudi. And of course we have the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and so on. So in my view I believe that we should all co-operate and live under a Democratic secular Government that has no control on any individual’s personal life.
