Hi Bill! Thank you kindly, my dear friend for watching and commenting the video! I am also glad I was able to upload this video. The day to day work at the office has been so intense that on weekends, the time when I typically go to the workshop and edit videos, I am so tired that cannot do much. Hopefully that will change at some point. Cheers! Daniel

Great bowl Daniel. Glad that piece that came out didn't do any damage to you looks like it would have been turned away anyway. Always enjoy your videos.

Hi Rick! Thank you, my dear friend, for your always kind comments! Yes, I was more surprised than anything. But I always wear my full faceshield, so no damage at all. Indeed, that piece was in the part that was removed, so no harm done to the piece either. Cheers! Daniel

Absolutely beautiful bowl. I live in Virginia where there is lots of Eastern Red Cedar on my property. I love how it makes my shop smell. 😊 Thanks for sharing! 👍🏽

    Hi Daniel,
Great to see a video from you.
This one is amazing. The grain in this piece is beautiful and Red Cedar is one of my all time favourite woods to turn all be it I don't turn it very often due to not being able to get it here in the UK.
    Take care my friend.
    Cheers, Huw

Hi Huw! As I was telling another mate in the UK that left a comment for this same video, as far as I know, there are three cedar varieties in the UK, Atlas, Lebanon and Deodar cedars. I have seen pieces made out these three woods and although the color is not as red or orange the grain looks great and I bet they smell delicious as well. Eastern Red Cedar is originary from the US east coast, although you can find it as far west as to the Rockies. I am lucky to live in Virginia, so I get my hands on this variety every so often. If you visit the US, I am pretty sure you can get a few pieces in a lumberyard and take them with you to UK. Some online distributors also carry it, I get most of my pieces that way. Thank you so much for your nice comments and for watching! Cheers! Daniel

Horale, Daniel! Good seeing you back making videos. Nice wood turning!!!
I just got a load of cedar wood for turning. Even though I have an allergy to the wood, I plan to turn it anyway since it will make many nice bowls and platters. I’just have to load up on Benadryl to keep the allergies down.

Hola John! Thank you so much, my dear friend, for watching the video and for the nice comments! Use a good mask filter besides the Benadryl, hahahahaa! But be careful, some allergies can be dangerous, tell your wife or someone that they check on you often when you are doing something that may cause some trouble. Cheers! Daniel
