I Meet Delmar in a Fly in by Bakersfield Ca. I flew my Duane Cole Clipped wing from Modesto Ca. just to watch him fly his Gee Bee...Best pilot I ever knew. Also saw him in Watsonville and Oshkosh. Robert Berry
Truth to power! “Pilots killed pilots not the aircraft killed the pilot”. Bold statement but honest and accurate. “Pilots have a difficult time taking responsibility!” Wow a real Pilot just said that.
This Man Is a "National Treasure",,, Very Talented Man,,, "Aviator Extraordinaire",,, "Now, The Impossible For Delmar,,, "Oh That" ,,,, "It Just Takes "Delmar" a Little Longer To Accomplish The Impossible",,,,
If I could ask him just one question, it would be - how did he manage to take an extremely dangerous plane, do the most crazy stuff with it and always stay on the safe side of its limit?

Robert Berry
Humble guy. I had a chat with him at OSH '99.
The Gee Bee whisperer. He can tame any wild GB😀. I say with respect.

Easy, stay within the limits. Don’t exceed them. That’s true in ANY airplane
@skooter2020 good point! However in this plane I'd be too scared 5o find out where the limits are...lol

Pedalplane gee bee Indonesian sir.....
Anyone know what Delmar Benjamin is doing now?
Deceased

All those GeeBee hours have killed him like five or six times, right skidis? :-D
He retired from flying and went back to farming in Montana to be with his family
