I love shooting different projectiles out of my air rifles. Pellets and slugs. If a rifle can't shoot both I'm not interested. I've had excellent luck with Patriot javelin, h&N and Zan slugs out of my .22s. The avenge X definitely seems to have a tighter barrel then the original qavenher. I prefer to shoot 20-23 grain .217 @ around 935-960 fps. I can shoot heavier slugs but I like to keep the shot count decent. I see a lot of comments on social media slugs need to go 925 fps or faster to be accurate... I haven't found that to be true all the time. It seems more like if your rifle is tuned well (reg pressure/hammer tension) you can get a projectile to group well at multiple different speeds. For instance Patriot javelin 21 grain group well for me at 880 fps 920fps and 955 fp. Almost like there are different golden zones. I'm thinking maybe it has less to do with speed and more to do with proper Reg pressure and hammer tension where the rifle is happy and shooting consistently. Honestly when shooting a new projectile I don't even bring out the chronograph right away. I make adjustments and get the projectile to group well and then I will chronograph it to check not only fpe but shot speed consistency. Anyway thank you very much for sharing. Love the vids.
I dont like running my x at its max. Wish the lever was a little sturdier. Feels like its going to break off with the hammer spring at 5+ Also being a choked barrel it takes more power to move a slug over 900 fps. Interesting, all i have for the 25 is 249 FX hybrids and they load rather tight. Every slug ive tried 177/22/25 all loaded tight.

Yeah I usually do my paper punching Target sighting in at 50 yards I do have one set at 75 and 100 I don't do a whole lot of paper punching at those distances. But I could probably do it in the future... but I can pretty much tell you right now from my experience that the Group at 100 aren't much bigger than at 50 yards with the projectile that flies good in The Avenge-X like a jsb 25 grain I can easily reset my squirrel resetting Target at 100 and a little 1 inch spinner at 100 I hit.... it's pretty much how good I am not how good the gun is at those distances.
I bought the Avenge X a few weeks back. I cannot get the tip off the shroud for a new moderator without feeling like I'm going to damage it (scraping the barrel). Did you have the same issue putting on your after market silencer at first? Or was yours loose enough to just twist off?
I don't have any problems taking off the end cap to put on a moderator and I've even taken out the air stripping baffle thingy in there just to look at it out of the Shroud they came right out but I also use rubber tipped pliers so you don't scratch anything if they're on tight but they were not on tight on my Avenge-X .
strange In my m25 .25 the grizzly did very well.78 joule gun...so we can see that each gun need dif ammo..Very nice clip ..I did learn allot . 😀.But i was thinking why this gun dont like grizzly ..I shoot mine at 25 to 30 meter's ..you do 50 yard's ..yeah that must be it , i think
