I apologize for the change of colors during the video. It's an error in my video editing tool, I will need to change it in the future. It looks as if I used lipstick 😂
😂
Great video, really well explained. Congrats on the results!
I really appreciate you staying grounded. I hope to meet a doctor to adress my receding hairline soon. Hasta entonces!
I started balding when I was early in age 15. Turns out it was because of stress and tension which thins the hairs on predisposed balding people . My grandpa's and dad are bald. So naturally I will go bald to. My hair is actually very similar to yours in terms of color and the way it was balding. I just want to say your transformation has inspired me to take treatment more seriously.
Thanks for the content also (I'm a new sub) 😊
Hey @ashtonhashbrown6155 I'm very glad to hear that! I hope you will continue seeing regrowth and maintain a great nice and dense hair in the future :D
Has your condition improved ?
@omg.Daviid I've just been able to maintain as of now but I plan to take oral Finasteride soon since I'll be old enough.
One of the biggest myths online is that DHT is a sex hormone. It really isn’t and most doctors who specialize in this field agree. DHT is mainly important for sexual development as a fetus. It’s a paracrine hormone, not an endocrine hormone like Testosterone is. So it’s not systemically active like T is and is only active in the tissues (hair, scalp, prostate) wherein it is produced. The very few who get side effects I think isn’t even related to DHT being blocked but due to the drug itself through an unknown mechanism because in many other studies when you block 100% of DHT side effects are extremely rare and typically when you see a hormone that’s essential or important for sexual health being blocked, almost all the men will get side effects. For example, block Testosterone or Estrogen in men by half or completely and you’ll have all of them get side effects, not just less than 2%.
Thanks so much for this insightful information. I can see you really took the time to inform yourself, this is a very good example of what someone should do if they are afraid of sides
Thanks bro your comment gave me confidence and courage
This is simply false. Next time attach sources, you're just parroting pro Fin propaganda. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4997989/
@@EMU.53That study is on mice, your spewing propaganda. Give me an actual human study, until then I’ll keep my hair baldy
@@Bryce433Doesn't matter if dht is a sex hormone or not. When blocking dht it is possible for T levels to increase but estrogen is increased as well. SHBG can also increase which decreases your free testosterone. So believe whatever you want but the side effects of fin and dut are a very real possibility. Ask me how I know, took fin for 15 years and dut for 4. Had my bloodwork done multiple times and it did f with my hormones
Currently im only in big 3, but in 2020 i followed this protocol, not side effects at all, but i stopped because i read that add 1 capsule of dut per week doesnt do anything to the treatment. But the study that you show in this video, makes me think going to take dut again.
Well spoken
Dutasteride should be taken as a one capsule daily regular basis for at least 3 months enough or not sir ?
Thanks for the information. ❤️
You're most welcome 👍
My hair is thinning and I also have male pattern baldness. I never used finastraide before. What do you suggest, that i should try first finastraide only or use both finastraide( 6 days a week) and dutastraide (once a week)?
Great video !
Thanks, appreciate it :D
Hey! I really appreciate the insight on dutasteride that you have given, especially regarding your circumstances for using it. I think you mentioned in the video that you're planning on using finasteride for 6 days out of the week and using one of the other days with a 0.5mg dose of DUT. If you end up having no side effects from the drug, would you consider bumping up the dose to taking it every 2-3 days out of the week along with finasteride or taking it every day? I've been trying to look up information online about how often you should take DUT and whether or not you can take it with finasteride. So far from what I've found is that Dutasteride is meant to be taken every day at a 0.5mg dose, but I'm not sure if this is taking into account whether you're already taking finasteride with DUT. Please let me know your thoughts as I have been wanting to start taking dutasteride since it's been two years after I started taking fin in 1mg doses every day yet I have not seen much of an improvement in hair regrowth.
Hey, Yes, it's possible to take dutasteride every 2-3 days with finasteride for better results, but it's best to consult with a healthcare professional first.
@@algarrido hi, i wanna ask about can we take the dutasteride without any doctor prescribtion?

I’m about to do what you mentioned fin 6x’s a week at 1mg and dut at.5mg 1 time a week. How’s it working for you? Do you plan to slowly add more dut as time goes on as well?
Hey I just started doing this too, but with oral min instead of topical. How is it going now?
Hey mate!
Been on fin since 19 (currently 23) and it stabilised my hair a lot. 2 years in, started to lose results so I implemented dut meso which worked wonders 5-8 months in. Coming up to 1.5 years in, I have e noticed my results are starting to decline again (miniaturising at the hairline). Would you say the 6 / 1 protocol would be the next step? Minox, microneedling haven't helped.
It's unfortunate that Minoxidil didn't work, because that's honestly the best option to continue improving the hair. Maybe you are a low responder to Minoxidil. But if you use Minoxidil + Tretinoin, you can convert to a responder, especially when combined with derma rolling. Here's a link of the product www.minoxidilmax.com/minoxidil-with-retinoic-acid-tretinoin?hair=treatment
Yeah, I've been using minoxidil with tretinoin for 2 years and this hasn't helped either. @@algarrido
Well, then you are truly a non responder to Minoxidil. In your case there's in my view either oral Minox, or other newer treatments like pyrilutamide.

Great video
Been on fin/min derma rolling for over 1 year with good results, and never got any sheds for the first 6-7 months, but for the last 5-6 months i ve had several sheds, great gains and i would shed and great gains again. Im above baseline, and i have a noorwood 1 -1.5 hairline like u do, still its a pain in the ass though Im still sticking to it, improvents are clear, but somehow I cant for the life of me, grow all my hair in the same length, even though my hair its thick and course.
Its just a hair cycle
Don't worry, the hairs will eventually sincronice and grow the same length. And it's great you're shedding, since it means your hairs are responding correctly and you will see regrowth! :)
Quick question
What age did you start your fin treatment Im thinking of doing it soon however I’m 18 with decentish hair with some signs, however my brother went bald at 19 and dad in his 30s.
Take it habibi I'm on day 8
so are you taking finasteride and Dutasteride everyday together? or did you switch to Dutasteride completely?
Hi man, I'm from Brazil, and I'm reading the comments, and I saw yours, I'm 18 years old, I've been taking finasteride for 1 year, and I haven't seen much of a difference, could I switch to dutasteride or is it too early?
Yes, I think after a year, if the hair loss hasn't stop, you can switch to Dutasteride. But if what you are looking for is to stimulate regrowth, you should rather use minoxidil
How is the situation now? Did you lose ground ok dutasteride 0,5mg/week ?
I started my hair fall when I was 25 and than I went to a doctor and he gave me minoxidil 5% with fin1%. I apply it for like 4 months and got good results. Than I stopped it for like 2 weeks and than I started my hair fall again. Than I started using the same min but still no changes. It's been a month but I'm still having excess hair fall even my crown area is visible. I don't know what to do should I start taking dut or should I still wait for the minoxidil results? Please answer me.
I apply Mintops Minoxidil 5% topical solution once every day after shower and have started derma rolling. I dont know how often to do the derma rolling. Will this help
Yeah you need an actual DHT blocker as well.
Keep doing the minox + roller though.
These are the big 3 known to work best.
Hey Al, you think that maybe we need to take some time off to take fin and try again? Maybe a whole week off of fin and do monthly cycle?
I believe I stopped progressing with fin after 2 year use. Now I’m taking dut and it’s only been a week. I worry that my body rejected fin?
hey, as far as I know, you won't create a tolerance for Finasteride. What can happen is that your body and hair follicles become more sensitive to DHT over time, hence the potential loss of efficacy.
@@algarrido
Thanks for the reply 🙏🏽
Is it possible for more sensitivity while on fin? Isn’t it 70% reduction in dht? I’ve been using it it religiously so idk how I’m not responding much to it. I want long hair like yours but I still have to cut it short and fade the sides
As somebody on the same boat, this is encouraging, I'm gonna start dut 0.5mg 1x a week in addition to fin as I too started to lose the great initial results of finasteride after 6 or 7 yrs of use.
How about oral finsteride(1mg daily) & tropical Dutasteride daily(only once).
Hi. I’ve been on fin for 6 months and min for 1.5 years. The first few months of fin I noticed shedding. It has definitely slowed down since then but I still get hair loss on my hairline. And I know this because the hairs have a curl to them and the only place I have curls is the cowlick at my hairline. This is a bit concerning since what I want to improve the most is my hairline. I’m wondering if I should switch to dut or at least once a week with fin or wait a whole year? There are definitely a lot of little hairs there but they don’t seem to grow at all! Or I guess if they do they all fall 😭 thoughts?
Well, Fin and Dutas and both great at stopping hair loss, but not so much in regrowing hair. For that one needs a stimulator, such as Minoxidil. You didn't regrow your hair much with Minoxidil?
@@algarrido did you experienced shedding?
One More thing i would like to say is, that i completely relate to your case, i'm 17 and i have windows peak. and this also runs in my family.😶
Hey man, are you still using dutastride? Is it feasible to use it 7 times a week?
Where did you get it? It's off label in U.S. so it's difficult to get and I rather not get it through online pharmacy.
I buy it at the pharmacy. You can get a doctor's prescription. Many people ask for a prescription of Dut for hair.
So it way to one end? If you start use those f and d hormones blocker it need to be use forever? And if you stopped you will get in bald like x10 times speed because increase sensibility yor hair?
yes and no. You need to use it for as long as you want to keep your hair. If you stop you will go back to the hair stage you'd be in if you hadn't started
Can you member in which month finasteride works for you? I think I want to hop on dutasterid emidiatley. The reason for that desition is that im 20 and nearly a noorowood 5. I started finasteride 2 months ago and It just get it worse. Even with this drug.
I started having results 2-3 months in if I recall correctly. I made a video about it
is it a problem taking fin and duta together? or should i just choose fin first, in case of no results move on to duta?
Yes, the second option is the most reasonable. For most of the people, Fin is more than enough. I take Dut too, since I have a very strong case of androgenetic alopecia.
I want to use dutasteride 0.5 capsule topically with minoxidil, what is the % of dutasteride in minoxidil?
You should rather use topical Finasteride. The problem with topical Dutasteride is that it doesn't absorb well in the skin
I've been taking dutasteride + 5% Minoxidil since Nov 1st, last year. and in just 2.5 months the results are remarkable..... let's see how it will work in the coming days...

Hey everyone! I was prescribed Propecia/Finasteride for my hair when I was 22 (I'm 38) and have been on and off it a few times over the years with no very serious issues and then recently I got moved over to Dutasteride last April (taking for 15 months) and it was normal until about a few months ago and now this is a bit embarrassing..it was like I was getting way more erections than usual with some very very minor pain in a small area in the middle off to the left..kinda just figured the guys been working a little too much and brushed it off...
then pretty much OUT OF NOWHERE the thing is almost like a kinked hose in that spot going more to the left and down..
Now here's the kicker - no regrowth and actually way more shed on Dutasteride and I had better results/less problems with propecia/finasteride lol
interensting. About the shedding, isn't it the shed before the regrowth?
@AlGarrido it should be idk or dutasteride indore intense it needs a full 1 year plus or 2 to get the results because it work kind of aggressive shedding Maybe its made me better I think but only after a while
@@algarrido I was thinking that's what it might've been... I wish I could've stayed on it a bit longer to see if there would be any regrowth but life goes on... then again maybe regrowth isn't always guaranteed with dutasteride? then again I just might go back on it - gotta see what the urologist thinks too .. I'm lucky to still have hair and I just dermaroll with rogaine now
I'm thinking of even going back on it but at 0.5mg per every 3 days instead . One thing I will give credit to dutasteride for was flattening my DHT levels to build some impressive looking muscle (make sure you take advantage of that dudes!) 💪😎
Or try dut 1 time per week and fin 6 times per week

I was on finasteride for 4 years I think no side effects, then added DUT once a week. Can’t get it up now that well so gonna stop. Figure I’ll just block extra DHT with something topical. I add rosemary oil to all my pomades to help give an extra boost.
yeah, that's definitely not worth the extra DHT suppression. if you're balding despite Finasteride, I would recommend using on top of that topical Finasteride, since it will suppress more DHT, but only in the important area, the scalp
Bro should I need consulation from doctors? I am thinking to take it but afraid of side effects
it's good to ease your mind. Besides, you'll need a doctors prescription anyways

I fear that if you stop it will start fall off way more worse((
What if the medications start to wear off, and your DHT levels start to become more sensitive? would you ever stop using these products?

Thanks. We can all learn from each other even if it is just anecdotes. The only way to see if you get sides is by testing out RU58841. If you notice sides then discontinue and try something else. Also, the hair-loss industry is getting very interesting especially as new drugs with different mechanisms of actions are being researched. E.g pyrilutamide and GT2009 (can’t remember the exact numbers lol).
@menhajahmed8262 Yes I completely agree! I'm looking forward to the new Kintor Pharmaceutical products. Very promising :D
Just ordered a 3 month supply of pyrilutamide. Going to use it every other day until my 4 month supply of RU58841 finishes then will make the full switch to pyrilutamide once a day everyday. Will report back in 6 weeks time. Hopefully, I can regrow my temples as it will frame my face better. Currently, I’m a Norwood 1.5 maybe 2
Can I take dutastride every alternate day
yes that also works
There are a lot of cause that makes hair fall . Not only DHT
Yes, but another causes is only temporal
That's not true if you don't know what it is @brusli9019
If you stop taking the medicine, you will go bald soon? Meaning you are absolutely dependable on medicine, like on drugs? So you plan taking it every single day until you are 40 yo for example?
Yes, but I wouldn't call it being dependent. It puts a stop to the hair loss. So if you stop taking the pills, then the hair loss gets to the stage you would have been without them.
@@algarrido I find it dangerous to block hormones to be honest. The body gets used to it and changes internal processes. It is like anabolic steroids, but vice versa. Steroids give you more hormones, this blocks your hormones. Both is dangerous in long run imo. But I wish you enjoy it, you look good! I wish there could be some better way to keep hair on, less harmful.
Yeah I totally understand your point! There are a few topical treatments that don't mess with the hormones like Finasteride. One very famous now is Pyrilutamide. I did a video about it, you should check it out.
I started hairloss @18 y.o now I'm 38 years old. I started with finasteride 1 mg/day @19 y.o. for 3-4 years after I switched to Dutasteride 3cps/week till 2016, after I re-switched to finasteride and now I taking: dutasteride 2 cps/week and finasteride 1mg 5 times/week, minoxidil 5% every day, ketoconazolo cream 2% every day, ketoconazolo 2% shampoo 2 Times/week. I'm struggling with AGA and hairloss due to old age.
my moms side isn't bald, but everyone in my dad is 😢.
why once a week dutasteride and not everyday?
because Dutasteride 1/week is enough. You can if you like to use Dutasteride everyday for better results. For some it's not necessary
Dutasteride has a really long half life, I think a couple of months. While finasteride has only half life a few hours, so should take it daily.
Since starting dutasteride have you seen any difference in your beard density? I've heard that dutasteride pretty often cause beard shedding.
Not at all, my beard stayed exactly the same. I have genetically a very dense beard.
I’m sorry, I do not wish to sound like a defeatist with regards to dutasteride, but you must understand it does not suppress DHT 100% therefore over the coming years you will still be losing hair through miniaturisation just not as much as if you had never taken it! Sorry but that’s the absolute truth which comes from data not from anecdotes which I don’t take any notice of anyway!
yeah no you are not a defeatist, your argument is very valid! It is true that taking Finasteride or Dutasteride you still can't reduce all DHT in your hair follicles. But that reduction may be for some enough to invert hair loss. It depends from person to person, but for most, that reduction of DHT is enough to really stop hair loss, at least for a long period of time :)
@@christianblake3997But your losing it at an extremely slow rate. I would argue on dutasteride the majority of people won’t lose much ground until their 6 feet in the ground
@christianblake3997 it's why I added a low dose Spiro cause my T was too just to be a bit extra safe and whenever I'm done having kids (none now) say in 10 years I'll add higher doses too.
Thanos should have snapped DHT instead.
06:21 Unless, they don't. There are people who report sexual side effects like numbness and ED months or years after stopping finasteride. They are a small minority, but just a heads up
I tried to take Finasteride for 6 months I experience anxiety and panic attacks, my sexual performance was the same as always but the anxiety was getting out of hand LOL, I wasn't getting stress from my job or personal life, to me it was the pill after I stopped I felt better, bro I wish I could be as lucky to just take it and have no side effects
That sucks man, did you try other things?
I also experienced bad anxiety, which I didn't realize was even a side effect of this drug initially. My anxiety was very bad the first 1-2 months after stopping and has gotten progressively better. It's been about a year since I stopped. The anxiety still comes back occasionally but a lot better now. I also had a very dramatic loss of libido. This has gotten better but has not recovered completely yet, but it is finally considerably better. However, its been a very hard year out of my life.
@@trevorthiessen6317 have you always suffered mental health ?
@joncorona6373 no, not ever. This was all completely new. Doing a lot better now though.
@@trevorthiessen6317 so why are you still trembling?
Why you don't take dutaseride daily?
I could, but since I'm on Finasteride I don't see it neccesary
moral of the story: if you're broke; stay away from magic potions, let your dragon roam
I was dutasteride 3/week for the past 3 months but I am still losing my hair in the shower and when it is too much oily.
From now on switched to 6/week, I hope it stops shedding now.
genetics just go to turkey and get a hair transplant its way cheaper and superior , my cousin did it and he is very happy.
It’s takes up to 6 months to a year to see results. Shedding might be normal, remember the hair have different cycles. Maybe you’re getting rid of the hairs that were going to fall anyways. Also it’s normal to loose hair everyday.
Hola Al Garrido , how old are you now ?
25 :D
Btw, did you find Finasteride in the end?
@Al Garrido Tommorow is the day !!! My dermatologist was cool about me being proactive about my hairloss , so she said that i can get a prescription on the date tommorow. My oral min also just arrived
Also thanks for asking
@Al Garrido damn dude it fucking sucks that you have to do deal with it so early , i plan to switch to dutasteride in the future when its needed , since im becoming a norwood 2 at just 18 and im pretty scared that fin will decrease efficacy over the years
don't worry so much now. I really think you catched it early
Do you Use lipstick?
😂😂😂😂yeah
