I got my latitude for christmas 2015 and its held me down from my last year of college to now in 2020. Even tho it still works fine i recently bought a macbook pro. I'm not gonna miss windows 10 that much.
I still use the E7450 till date and it is pretty good and does virtually everything I want to do with it. The only problem is it has an AZERTY keyboard because it was sent from Europe and I'm used to typing with the QWERTY keyboard. Also, the battery lifespan has greatly reduced and I find it very difficult getting another good battery, all the replacement battery I have gotten so far turn out to be refurbished.
I love the e6000 series, especially the e6440 and e6540. I happen own both... along with an XPS developer's edition and a 7400 work computer... lovely laptops.
E6430 is a classic I still own. After so much BRUTAL treatment in rugged environments it still holds up to this day. The battery completely fried but I can get a new one. It runs with plugged up. I’m just amazed it works honestly and it still runs good haha.
The little phone symbol with wings is for a NFC contactless smart card reader -- some businesses use these essentially as keys for user authentication on the system.
Latitudes are awesome; you can't go wrong with them. I don't think I will be using anything else in the near future. at least not in the laptop side of things, anyway.
I'm not the best at laptop expertise so I was wondering if you could help me. My laptop has been charging and not charging for a while and I have been wondering why. The lights that used to illuminate around the keys have also stopped aswell. If you could get back to me I would appreciate that.
Got a small request... could you show the underside with the bottom removed? I'm trying to figure out the differences between the case on the nvidia-equipped & non-equipped mobo.
I can pick one of these up for what I consider a reasonable price. I'm not at all tech savvy, so generic question. Would this computer be capable of content editing. No gaming, really nothing other planned except video editing. Any suggestions appreciated.
Thinkpad t460 vs latitude e7470, looking for most serviceable & longest lasting laptop (hoping to get another 10 years of browsing usage) . Enlight me anyone?
I would had buy an external CD drive...take no space, can be use on any future setup and easy to store once you have no need for it. Put all CD collection into an external HD as back-up is another good option later.
The only time i've had to use an optical drive lately is only for older PCs that which have older OSes that don't work with USB. It's just more cost-effective. But it depends on the content and use-case scenario.
Well I dunno what to tell you when you buy a brand new dell latitude for over a thousand bucks and it feels like a cheap Windows Phone. You’d be rightfully unimpressed.

Have you looked at google images yet? I wouldn’t be opposed to that if I had to, I’m just thinking that that would’ve already been covered by now.

Probably a bit much. A config like that is worth around $350 as of this comment's writing.

I'll go with Dell unless you are talking about the t460s

can I put an SSD on this model??
Some configurations have mSATA slots, others have standard 2.5" SATA. Either configuration, yes. Just know what you'd be getting.
