Hi Friends! Today we are doing the semi-annual closet clear-out/changeover. It may seem a bit late but Hong Kong is just starting to get cooler (although I have been wearing Fall clothes for a while now but I've secretly sweating profusely inside of them). I will be sharing all of my decluttering tips, tricks, & hacks, and ways to fold things to maximize your space (I wish I tried these techniques sooner!). In the end you will see a clear, concise, more curated closet that makes me feel delighted and eager to get dressed/ create fashion content.

What you said about underwear is so true! For YEARS I used to wear hella uncomfortable push-up bras, because I have small boobs and thought that I needed big ones to be beautiful. Now, at 25, I know that this is not true, that no bra will change my body, and that it's more important to me to wear something comfortable. Now, my underwear is only comfy cotton panties and cute bralettes. Have never felt better ✌️
Best advice for young girls to you women. Pretty underwear is just not worth it if it's not comfortable or serving a different purpose!😉😉

The inventors of lace really said to make it out if the scratchiest material possible even though it is always on underwear, bras, and necklines.
Taylor your current style is the aesthetic I want! Simple , clean, put together. Once I pay my student debt I’m upgrading my wardrobe lol
I'm in the same boat with cardigans specifically! I don't have much extra money currently to invest in a few new pieces since I have bills, groceries, etc. to pay for and student loan payments are just around the corner.

We just have decluttered at our apartment cause we want to go to Japan for 1 or 2 years in 2022. we don’t want to it too much stuff into storage so we have donated and sold a lot. And it was really satisfying. It’s not like „i have nothing to wear“, now it’s like „what should I wear? I love everything in my closet.“
That's how it should be! I always make a point to ask family and friends to not purchase clothing as gifts for me because I likely end up not wearing it. I make a firm point that I'm satisfied with everything I currently have. Some people are shocked when I tell them that.
I am 39 and I still wear bright colored clothes and underwear. 😂 So kids, buy what ever you want and makes you happy.
Same, there is nothing on earth that will make me give up my Christmas tree onesie, Minnie Mouse joggers and Harry Potter pj's! 😂
Yep 40 here and I still love my adult Eeyore onsie. Also my donut and taco socks.
Don't tell but I've bought kids Disney multi pack knickers before 😅 a few times now.

LOVE the curly hair at the end!! And I agree with having a "think about it"-pile where clothes can lie for a while and if you don't reach for it you throw it away. I have that system too!

So I was folding my laundry while watching at this and I gave the folding hacks a shot and HOLY COW everything is so tidy and compact now!

Yes to comfy long lasting clothes! One of my sleep shirts used to be a sweater my mom wore - I think it might be older than I am.

I am entirely sure every woman watching this, also has the uncomfortable bra/panties that we never wear, but we still love looking at them.. but then try putting them on once a year and it's like NOPE... but you still can't chuck it...

Just wanted to say thankyou for going through your underwear, i realised years ago that you can get cute/sexy pieces that are also comfy, but like most spent time wearing super uncomfortable pieces as well. And i think a lot of women could do with a eye opener that its 100% fine to wear comfy underwear and that we really need to stop thinking so hard on it, hardly fair when men can just wear black briefs and thats fine but for some reason we gate ourselves behind uncomfortable lace pieces.
I'm into minimalism! And when my family and I moved, in total I got ride of 45+ bags of clothes, shoes, purses, jewelry, makeup etc.
The Japan bras are giving me war flashbacks the VS Pink when I was in middle/high school. The bras were always neon colored and have waaay too much padding.

I like having my "winter" clothes and my "summer" clothes on my closet all year around, cause that way I can create more outfits. I don't really like pants that much, so I wear skirts even in winter

All I've taken from her book is dealing with clothes but even making that effort to fold properly is so rewarding.

I live in the Netherlands and I wear either a summerdress or shorts at 21 degrees😂
I thought it was in fahrenheits XD I go with winter coat around 5 celsius, but my winter coat is quite thin. It's funny but in autumn 20 C is time to put on a sweatshirt, but in spring it's time to go in dress or shorts XD one spring we were with friends in Sicily and around 15 C and sunny weather we went in tank tops... some people looked at us funny still in winter boots and coats XD but we are from Poland and this is spring/summer temperature for us ;) the same goes with my cusin - she was studing in UK, and when she visited Poland she went to ATM in shorts and longsleve around 10 C in autumn and people were shocked

After all of our lives changing so drastically, after losing my job and going back to living with my parents, after everything!!!! It’s just so nice to log on and see that you’ve posted a video. I've seen in Some of her videos her cleaning up by herself? I guess there's only two of them and a lot of space so maybe it doesn't get messy? I would SOOOO having a cleaner if I could though, no shame in that!!!
I’m just simply curious about Taylor’s tips or cleaning routine because her house obviously look very clean ALL THE TIME(exact what I want but I’ll have to clean and clean all day long every day to achieve that). If they do hire a cleaner instead of cleaning by themselves that’s totally fine, at least I know that my house without a cleaner is actually looking normal and it doesn’t have to look like their house to called it a neat household:)
I deep clean every Sunday, and spot clean everyday! If you don’t let it get dirty then it’ll never buildup/be dirty (:
I would love to see an update of this clean out next season. Like, if you kept up with the folding and organisation, if you reached for anything in the maybe pile and if you regretted getting rid of anything. I think it would be so interesting to watch and get a closet update!

All of the clothes in my childhood closet at my moms house- I donated. All at once. Didn’t even look through it. It was there all through college. Then I got rid of most of my college clothes, thank goodness. Now I have left fast fashion altogether and love my new wardrobe and signature look. It took 4 years to build but worth it.
This is just the video I needed! been in a real slump and thought updating my wardrobe via online shopping was the cure, now I just have a TON of clothes i'm not sure what to do with/don't fit so this was super inspiring, thank you Tay! ♥
I am such a bad hoarder who attaches sentimental value to everything that my "thinking about" pile always end up being much more than I anticipated 😅.

I don’t know how I missed this video from ages ago?!?! I’m getting ready for a HUGE January clean out. I’ve gained soooo much wait these last three years. While I’m dedicating this year to dropping 30 pounds, but those favorites that I keep waiting to lose weight to get back into, just have to go, that way I can reward myself when I hit my goals… but the hack you showed me for my workout leggings is BRILLIANT! It’s going to save me so much space and help ring in the new year! But one wrap dress I WILL NOT part with are my DVF wrap dresses, I don’t care when or what decade you buy a DVF wrap dress, it will always be fashionable! And yes…. As you get older, your everyday underwear get less ex and more comfy, plain and practical!

I am impressed by the folding demonstration!! I took all my unworn/rarely worn concert T-shirts and had them made into a quilt. I also mainly shop at charity shops with a 1in-1out rule.

Hey Taylor. I have watched your videos for a few years and this is my first time posting. I'm in my mid 30s. I have three items I've been wearing since 3rd grade. Many items in my wardrobe are over 20 years old, because my mom insisted on buying classic cuts in classic materials. My body has gone up and down in weight, but after having children, it settled and I am still enjoying my clothing from decades past. I hope your wardrobe clean out brings you a lot of joy for years to come!

I am seriously messy and disorganised, and I also get emotionally attached to clothes because they bring back happy memories 😊 Not a good combination when it comes to decluttering! The only method that has worked for me and I continually use is hanging up my clothes in outfits. Every other piece of advice or techniques I stop after a while but not this one. It keeps me semi-organised and makes it easier to find my favourite looks. I pair tops and dungarees, tees and pinafores, as well as dresses and tights together. And I wear them, wash them and always keep them together so they don't get lost in my wardrobe. I loved this video, it's so interesting hearing what criteria and reasons they have behind keeping or getting rid of their belongings.

I love how you store clothing in vacuum bags! I wrote a storage bed like yours down on my goal list for when I redo my room. It looks like stuff stays cleaner there than under a 4-legged bed.
Oh Thank Goodness!!! I have the EXACT same underwear drawer!! The adorable bras that are way too padded, and the thick elastic topped undies from pink lol! I always feel like I'm a sausage with a rubberband around me when I wear those. Knowing You, my thin, model friend, feel they don't fit right under clothes either, makes me feel SOOOOO much better!! Our poor guys....we wore the cute, uncomfortable things while we dated then we get happy and comfy when we are settled. Now I wear seemless comfy smooth stretchy undies like you held up. I'm totally with you on the comfortable bras and panties... I always seem to make the same mistake every few years in that I see a super cute pair of lacy panties, I buy them, and they either start to fall apart within two washes or they're super uncomfortable. I don't care about the stigma I used to have on briefs anymore. Those at least keep me comfortable and are durable!

You sound like me, haha. The last time I bought new clothes (two pairs of pants) was two years ago. I'm pretty much a jeans and t-shirt kind of person. Fashion isn't my thing, haha! As long as I'm in clean clothes that aren't falling apart, I'm good to go.

Now that I’m older (and in order to stop myself from flooding my closet with cheap bs) I only buy good quality statement/basic pieces. That way, I can keep them for as long as I want and they don’t get destroyed easily. But also, when I’m done with them, I can sell them for a good price.

This made me want to go through my closet lol. I still have a lot of tshirts and tops from high school (I'm almost 26) 😂. When I was younger I thought I had to have every color of the rainbow in my closet to have a well rounded one 🤦♀️😂. Now I realize that I also love neutrals, and that's what I look good in, aside from a few brighter colors. A lot of people dread getting older, but I think your 30's are the new 20's, and honestly my goal is to be like you in four years. ❤️
