This is a Skoda's benchmark... I always loves Skoda models. Quality of Skoda modes is so good. My opinion, starting prices for Skoda cars should be bigger because of quality. I own Skoda Superb 2013 190HP... Car is a really luxurious one for that money. Greetings from Belgrade, Serbia.
Oh and btw, thank's for showing different trims! Very detailed review, that's why for me you are the best car reviewers, it's just like I'm sitting in the car.

this is why VAG will probably kill it within next 3 years... They will sell just boxy and boring Passats . Skoda will stick with Octavia and SUVs
Great review Thomas and team! I really like the look of Superb Scout. As @malo Joe mentioned, Škodas really do look good. It is understandable that, with some of the new technology features, VWAG will only bring those technologies to their flagship brands e.g., the VW Passat Facelift, in the first instance. The Superb, however, is one of these cars where you would like to be able to choose it now and have all the features available.
New Skoda Superb video is very impressive.
Gerade das ist es, was den Autogefühl-Kanal von vielen anderen so abhebt und besonders macht. Wunderschöne Locations, geile Autos bzw. Neuvorstellungen und Moderatoren, die mit Leidenschaft bei der Sache sind. Die Sonnenblumen-Felder sind für mich die Sahne auf der Torte gewesen. Genauso beim Ford Focus ST in Nice(Frankreich), mit traumhaften Landschafts-Aufnahmen. Das macht das Ganze so organisch! ;-)
Die Umgebung bzw. das Environment macht einen entscheidenden Teil eurer Auto-Videos aus, bin ich der Meinung. Man sieht dabei immer auch etwas von der Welt, und staunt immer wieder, wie schön einige Locations sind.

Another first class review Thomas, i never thought i would have heard myself saying this.
But this car now looks a really nice product, as when i was younger both the Skoda, the Suzuki, and the Lada cars were classed as the joke cars.
But obviously now times have changed, and they ard now being manufactured by the bigger car companies, which can only be good for the consumer's.Thank you for making an old pensioner happy, with another enjoyable review.👍🚙

it's actually surprising how Superb is supposed to be a cheap Passat, but at this point it's as good as one
It is barely any cheaper now though, depending on the spec you go for...
It's much more bang for your bucks

@ 17:35 The opening in the center console is so that you can put an iPad in there. You open the trap door and the iPad sits in allowing the top to close. Nice security feature.

The interior design is starting to fall behind, but the quality is top!
Can’t wait to see what they do on the new Superb that is reportedly coming in 2023.
Ps: This car deserves more recognition.
Only Audi A8L has more rear space in the VW group, best in class when it comes to boot space(you don’t even need the avant), interior quality is so good even after 150.000km it barely creeks, the materials are great, and as long as you change the oil regularly you’ll never have any problems with it, they’re so reliable...

I’ve ordered mine, the hybrid version in L&K. Delievery in March.
I had the Superb mk1 & didn't think they could improve on it.... then I tried the mk2 & will go for another Superb.... maybe the scout as I like the Kodiak as well

Fake exaust is not a beauty element. It is a pure kitsch element. I don t understand how the car designers ignore semnification of this word.

Ich kommentiere absichtlich in Deutsch, verstehe aber jedes Wort dieser Vorstellung. Ruhige und sachliche Vorstellung. Ich hinterfrage, weshalb ein Auto nur positiv vorgestellt wird. Kein Wort über:
- Katastrophales Anfahrverhalten des DSG
- Katastrophales Schaltverhalten des DSG
- Katastrophales Drehmoment der NEUEN Motoren dessen Maximum erst bei 1900 U/MIN anliegt. Bisher 1700 und das ist mir bei meinem Superb Sportline 4x4 schon zu hoch. Radaukulisse beim Anruf von Leistung. Motor jault ohne das spürbar etwas nach vorne geht....
Bitte hierzu mal ein Test...
UND.... Zum Schluss noch der Hinweis auf einen Listenpreis der nahe am dem 60k liegt wenn man die Kiste gut ausstattet. Dazu sind viele Ausststtungsmerkmale nun ein Extra.
Also liebe Autokäufer. Immer schön der Fachpresse und deren Verkäufern auf den Leim gehen.
Das einzig positive Merkmal des Videos ist für mich die Ablehnung VON Leder in Fahrzeugen. Dafür. Daumen hoch

the old Superb had a scout version too, it was called "Outdoor" for some reason
The only thing I don't like about the Superb is the infotainment display is too low as you can see how Thomas look so down at 28:12 and 28:15.
That's actually better, Studies have shown that the closer the Infotainment is to your Line of Sight, the easier you get distracted by it.
15:30 that plastic part is moving in my rapid from 11/2018 :) i feel sad that its on new superb too :(

I don't know why people praise this car for being so spacious when even a VW Tiguan has better space for the rear seats.
I have had 3 Skodas, they were affordable and quite ok design. But now they have lost it in my opinion. Too expensive, old internal design and the exterior designs is not so great, Seat have better exterior designs nowadays. But if like them so all power to you!!
One volume knob is all I need... (With next son/previous song and push to mute funktion as the last audis. Or knob + 2 buttons. )

heh ... looks like skoda took some hints from bmw when it comes to the front design! ... the headlights that connect to the grille... which itself has some similarities to the kidney grille of bmw's just in one piece... still not sure about the taillights tho ... they were too massive on the superb 2 ... now too thin on the 3rd one...
Seeing your confusion on integrated navigation and wonder why people still use it? Why not to use your usual interface of Google\Apple Maps in Carplay/Auto if it available? In addition you have all your saved places synced. For me integrated satnavs are absolutely rudiment.
Data connection is not always that good and data use is limited, thats why - at least in Europe:)
@@autogefuehl Yes, there are sometimes issues with connection, I try to preload areas before I travel. EU data roaming pricewise is also not the case in my opinion. It's good that often manufacturers separates satnav as standalone software option, not as unavoidable cost of bigger screen.
Yeah in mountains there are problems. But if you have the built in internet connection and sim card in car infotainment system, then internet antenna is sometimes on the roof (e.g. in a Tesla) - which enables you to have connection decent for navigation even in remote places. But not all cars offer that.

Always wanted to know if it ever happened to someone that a cat or a bird ran under the sensor for "kick-opening" the trunk and activated it. If this function only works as long as it detects kessy-enabled keys in your pocket, its not a big deal. But if it works anytime the car is unlocked, it could create funny situations :D

I really hate this facelift. Whoever is head of design needs to get fired. They ruined the Octavia with the disgusting split headlights then made the Fabia ugly and bulbous now this???
Yeah pretty much. They think they will make it more premium and edgy with those stupid details. Superb was very elegant, but maybe not turning heads around as much as those pretentious, agressive SUVs for newly rich (like Lexus or Audi ones). They have to compete with those.

And again the buttons on the steering wheel. Even on bmws, volvos, this whole in one plastic button layout is driving me crazy. Cheap solutions. On bmws, You push a button next to the drive selector and the whole button panel moves... Same here on the steering wheel.

How come that a proper name ( skin ) for a material is a propaganda whilist calling it a fancy name " leather" is not. Thomas keeps it real. Unlike 99,99% people. It is someones skin afterall. Someone who desired to live and avoid pain. Wrapping a modern car with a flesh of dead animal is just disgusting.
Indeed. Leather is a euphemism, like fur. In both cases, it is ripped off skin, one time with hair, one time without hair. "Propaganda" is calling this normal and forgetting about the innocent lives that had to suffer for this (both humans involved in the process and animals). Caring about people's and animal's health is not propaganda, that's called empathy.
