- In this episode I review a 2007 Maserati Quattroporte. The Quattroporte is a four-door sedan from the Italian brand Maserati, which was first introduced in 2003. We look at the exterior and the interior, and then get it out on the road to see how it drives!

I’v had My 2009 QP Exec GT since new. I can afford anything else but none has convinced me they are worthy of being the Maser replacement.
It’s Going on its 13th year n it still makes the hair on back of my neck stand like the first time i saw my wife.
I am blessed. Thank you, God.
Would you say a '07 exec gt with 96k Odo Worth 9000$? Because I'm looking at one that's a Nieman Marcus edition
I have a 2011 qp GTS and love it...best sports sedan ever...no issues ever
Has reliability been an issue for you!? I’m looking to buy one as my daily driver. I work from home so it would be entirely leisure driven every day.
@@evan9536 other than normal maintenance no issues...just buy one with a well documented service history
@@robertcomella8486 thanks for the quick reply, I’ll make sure I find one that’s well documented. I’ll also get a thorough inspection done by Maserati.
Also, any year after 2009 are the ones without tranny issues right?
@@evan9536 yes..2011 is best in my opinion...updated interior a little when they updated the infotainment system...no new changes were done after 2011 so it's the best version of that car....tranny issues were only with the F1 transmission...after 08 with ZF transmission all good
Do you have a Warranty on your 2011? Where can I purchase an extended warranty for a 2010 Maserati?
You should change gear before or after a corner so not to upset the balance of the car. That’s why the Italians mount paddle on the column and not the steering wheel
I have to disagree, Personally I think the looks are timeless and have aged beautifully. But that’s the thing, everyone has their own opinion and the world would be a terrible place if we all thought the same
I enjoyed your balanced review and noted your hint of caution as to cost of maintenance.I still want one though.
I need a masi quattroporte 4.2 v8 With f1 gearbox...... I did not like the looks of this car before. But looking on it now 👌 wow. It is beautiful.
One of Pininfarina’s finest. I still like the look of these. The interior is the bit that looks dated for me. Great noise
How much did it sell for?
Good video. I thoroughly enjoyed it . 👍
This is a 4.2L yes.. the 4.7 is the engine with zf box combo to have if your taking the risk
stay away from the duo select box !!! it is a nightmare and costly
@quitter97 ok so you have to give it some to get it in its sweet spot ! still like the car dont get me wrong, stillnot brave enough to buy one ! congrads mate !
Zf transmission best on stay far away douselect
The 4.2 V8 has a zf box from 2007- onwards
Always fun to drive someone else’s Maserati and give back the keys.
Hahaha! Yes true!!
Design-wise, it is different in a world of look alike sedans. What I hate about the redesign is the taillights look like a Kia. Take away the badges of most cars and you can't tell them apart.
So take the uniqueness as a positive you won't be mistaken for a Korean car.
May I ask where you were able to get this car for a review?
Dealer mate of mine
My 2007 Alfa 159 has paddles on the steering wheel, not the column.
He was refering to the Giulia.
My 147 GTA has the paddles also in the steering wheel.
Probably the wrong spot for this request and you may have reviewed one and I missed it.
Can you source and review a 8 cylinder jaguar F Type (rag roof if possible)
My friend has one but is locked down in Melbourne for now and I am busting to know if they are as good as he says they are
Drove one of these Maser's at Sandown on a Maserati track day and they sounded great but I was underwhelmed (think fussy old fart this end)
What was more impressive was the S class S63 on an AMG track day that I was lucky enough to attend
Thanks for the clip
Yes would love to do that. I will see what I can do
MGUY Australia thank you
Hi there , what do you know about these cars ? Would you have one ? Some say it’s great , but some say it breaks down all the time , those are usually , CZcams gurus . Thanks great as always !!
Either i got lucky with my 07 Sport Gt with a ZF box or its just the best car for the buck. Mine is really reliable
They are fun and different, but can be unreliable especially the electrics... get a thorough inspection of any example you are thinking of buying
Too many people who'll pay Honda money for one will think it'll cost the same to maintain it.
He right. That’s why I’m here
It will if do work yourself very easy work on buy a diagnostic scan tool never have go dealer
sticky buttons from that era are annoying but it aint just italian its bmw ,mercedes from that era same issues sticky buttons where the labels where off
Nightmare I’m experiencing now. Car has no power my key won’t eject. I can’t get to the trunk to jump it. I can’t put it in neutral without jumping it. Can’t tow it or take it to the dealer without it in neutrals I’ve had this car 30 days! SMDH
Italians and electrics just don’t mix… 😉
I think the one I own the next generation (2015-present) QP GTS is a much better looking car and performance is superior with the Ferrari 488 engine 530hp/710nm torque 0-60mph 3.9secs. Also sound is still good with better tech. The Granturismo MC Stradale is the next Maserati I would go for just for the sound.
It doesn't have Ferrari engine at all.. It has turbo 3.8 engine and crank is not like Ferrari
@@skarademirlidagactually Maserati and Ferrari split ways after 2022,so anything from 2005- 2022 including Alfa; has Ferrari engineering and development with their engines in Milan region at the Ferrari factory
The Alfa Romeo quadrifolio 2.9l bi-turbo V6 is a Ferrari 488 with 2 cylinders lopped off
You can lower that annoying bleep sound.
Wanted one of these for the longest time, a beautiful silver over red interior popped up in my area with practically no miles for the age. What a piece of 💩. It drove like a brick and left my fingers covered in what looked like coal dust from the sticky buttons. I never appreciated my 19 Avalon better then on the ride home from the dealership. It’s a beautiful car but wow was I disappointed.
Haha! Yes experiences can vary wildly!
Too bad that CZcams removed the thumbs down feature.
Title should read " Are you dumb enough "
Horrible review. It’s utterly stupid to criticize an old car for having an old interior. That can be said for literally EVERY 2007 car ever made. Then to go on and speculate that a new owner will inherit “astronomical” repairs is lazy and ignorant. How about making an effort to research what actual owners have encountered? Or, just not touching on things you know nothing about and limiting your review to commenting on what you can actually, factually report on?
Well thanks for watching anyway.
@@mguytv I thoroughly enjoyed this video it's like an Aussie version of alot of car review channels out there keep up the good work!
Jag engine isn't it?
No it’s a Ferrari F136 engine
@@mguytv every days a school day!
Awful car trying to sell my QP :( never again.
Haha! Experience varies wildly!!
