Lethargy, as Jim describes later in the podcast, is a sign of Lyme disease.
It's also a sign of watching shitty wrestling.
The second Jim mentioned a tick, I knew where this was going. I work with dogs, and tweezers suck for tick removal as more often than not, the head is left in situ. Most vets and pet stores sell tick remover tools that anchor those little suckers right off.
This is hilariously appropriate for me since I literally just removed two from myself moments ago. Thank you Jim.

I had Lyme Disease about ten years ago. One of the worst experiences of my life. I was in the hospital for a week and a half, but I was messed up for MONTHS. Bell's Palsy, meningitis, lockjaw, and that deep pain that feels like it's in your bones. Lyme disease is not super well understood. It can cause permanent neurological damage. EDIT: I didn't get a bulls eye rash, either. . .

I've had it going on a year. Last year I could barely walk due to sudden onset of arthritis and cognitive issues, couldn't talk in the mornings due to swelling in the brain. Still have arthritis and higher than normal heat sensitivity.

If stressed, I have heard the tick will essentially vomit into your bloodsteam. I believe it's why they recommend tweezers and gently pulling as close to the head as possible. It may also be wise to keep the tick in case, perhaps frozen, then the specific strain of Lyme can be determined. Be aware this is all anecdotal from me, but I believe it is standard practice.
