@@christian.xavier.villagran Hey there, Unfortunately the issue you're having isn't UW Mod related - sounds more like a Steam File Integrity issue. I may do another version just to get it out there though and possibly soon if I get more comments that feel the need for this. But I'm afraid it won't correct the issue you're currently experiencing.

@@kyzirock8183 Make sure the Flawless Widescreen app is running in Administrator mode before you start the game. I used to fire up the game forgetting to turn on the Mod. The Flawless Widescreen Tool must be running with the Elden Ring Tab opened and activated in the mod first before playing the game. I used to forget to do this and wondered why the game wasn't using the mod.
@@kyzirock8183 I just fired up the game and Mod works perfectly. Ultrawide and all. No issues on my end. Sorry to say but I would retrace your steps and make sure not to miss anything, Works perfectly.

Appreciate that - whats funny is I had to watch my own video here recently as I am now streaming Elden Ring Ultrawide over on Twitch to test things out - I just hope this works for the DLC. If it does then I'll probably end up making a brand new video only this time discussing the DLC. This video here is 2 years old and still being searched for which is bananas.

Hello! Today, 21-02-2024, I used your video to play Elden Ring in 21X9 resolution, and it worked perfectly. The patch version of the game today is 1.10.1.
Before, I used a lot of Nexus mods to bring the ultrawide experience, but with your tutorial everything became easier!

Yeah it's crazy how Armored Core 6 had UW but not this one that sold a shit ton.
@@oxfordking would've thought that they would add it in the dlc considering the price tag... but im not sure how engine dependent at least the framerate and stuff is in elden ring compared to ac6 :/
Crazy part is that they just covered up the rendered UW screen with the black bars. So it is rendered, they just cover it up from what I'm hearing.
Few years back, I saw my game in UW then went back after I hit the map.
June 12, it works. I actually had to launch it through steam as from the folder it didn;t start for some reason
Yeah I've also been streaming this on Twitch testing it out and loading up through Steam works for me as well. I just hope the DLC doesn't break this. It may... But if it does indeed work I Will make another New video.

@@oxfordking it worked once, now trying to boot up again through either the file explorer or steam, boots up with the anti cheat and the game isnt widescreen =(

Worked great! My only issue is that my mod installer won't launch the game anymore. Have you managed to get flawless widescreen and mods to work at the same time?
I actually never tried to get anything else to work with it other than Seamless Coop - haven't tried ReShade etc.

Yeah most of us weren't surprised as none of the prior FromSoft games did not. Dark Souls Remastered does have it but the remastered version was ported over by another dev team. Armored Core VI was the first FromSoftware game to have implemented Ultrawide support. Here's hoping they continue to add UW support to their future games.
Seems strange to stope their attention to detail there of all places…
Thanks it worked for me. Played the whole game last year in standard on my widescreen. Not happening for the dlc. Pretty annoying they dont just enable it.I am getting 120fps now too.
Cloud saves still work which is nice ,ill be able to hop on my handheld still too. Last step was not required for me also

@oxford king. Worked great, thanks for the clear instructions. i'd also like to have a dual save with 16.9 and HW. How do i go about doing this? Does all the UW steps need to be disabled?
You'll have to choose one or the other and switch between the two in the directory. That's what I do. My CZcams playthrough is 16:9 and when I farm runes etc I switch to the UW mod. Takes less than 60 seconds to swap. Same game cloud save.

That works and I've flawless widescreen closed but I'm still getting the 'suspicious activity' and forced to offline. Was hoping i could have a 16.9 online save on the go at the same time. @@SteNeale Hey there, so that's what I meant by choosing. There is no way to have a separate save file name for 16:9 Online versus 21:9 Offline. It's unfortunately a manual swap every time. My sincerest apologies!

hey, ive done all this and it worked but for some reason my camera spins uncontrollably, what can i do to fix this issue?
It worked for me on the latest patch, but I was getting a dll error and had to install the 2010 and 2013 c++ packages from Microsoft. I did both the x86 and x64 packages and it solved my problem

Hey there! First off, thanks for watching and commenting; means a lot! Yeah I really wish they would officially add support but none of their other titles had support. The only other one was Dark Souls Remastered which was remastered by a different studio - they implemented UW wonderfully. I just wish FromSoft would adjust to the times.

One question: When entering interactions with NPCs or loading a cutsense i get a weird black screen in the middle while it plays and only after 2 sec it appears to load the video. Also when interacting with an NPC i get a weird line where normally the game window would end but now it is blurry and missmatch of color a the bottem side (using an allienware OLED monitor, so not sure if it is OLED related).. anyone got the same pproblem and knows how to fix it?
The weird glitch will always happen when transitioning as the game wasn't intended for ultrawide. The other issue you're having I've never seen nor experienced so I can't speak to it unfortunately. Hopefully someone comes across your message and has seen this same thing.
FPS unlocker doesnt work with latest Patch 1.10.1; strangely, FOV adjustment does work
Yeah I noticed that too - the Flawless Widescreen team will need to update this. Hopefully they get a fix out for when the DLC drops as I'm sure it will break with the latest patch/dlc.

Most games works fine but Bandai games offer no support for 1280x1024. GoW and Lost Ark also don't.

I have no clue yet until I get my hands on. My channel is way too small to get early Access from the devs. I'll be checking first thing this weekend and will make a new video if it works 👍

Hello. I recently bought Elden ring and wanted to play it on 21:9. My problem is that this tutorial doesn’t work for me. Can somebody confirm that flawless widescreen still works and I am doing something wrong?
Any idea if u can go online with the same save file you've used this mod on? Or if you have to use another save file from before you ran the game with mods?
I followed your video but ended up using another mod as the black bars didn't get removed with this one. But they were literally just an start game offline mode no anticheat mod, a fps unlocker. And removal of black bars. So I assume the same logic would apply

Well my monitor isn't ultra wide it's 16:10. Maybe thats why it didn't work for me?

Edit 2: nvm i fixed it. i was able to fix it by downloading my nvme ssd driver and updated it now its all good :)

Hey thanks for dropping a comment on this - Let me fire up the game and report back on this thread with my results.
It works on my end. Only thing I can recommend you do is the following:
1). Run Flawless Widescreen before you boot up Elden Ring in Admin Mode.
2). Run both the Check For Updates + Reload Plugins on the bottom left Corner.
3). Be sure to reapply the Tutorial Video instructions as well - with every patch they release, these steps will have to be completed again.
4). Start Steam and Run the game with Flawless Widescreen up and running in the background.
Side Note: There were times I would boot up the game and completely forget to run Flawless Widescreen.

I played the game first without Ultrawide all online - when I had one file, I duplicated that file (I made another tutorial video on how to do this) and enabled this UW Fix.

This worked initially, when the DLC dropped had to re-apply it, but now with the latest patch 1.12.3 it doesn't work tried it three times :(

I’m fundamentally against developers refusing to support Ultra Wide resolutions in 2022. I’ve never touched valorant for that reason, but since this is a single player game, I can’t get banned for using my monitors aspect ratio

I use this software and I play the DLC and the base games well in 21/9 with 120fps but I have big slowdowns from time to time and the screen which also sometimes freezes for a few seconds...

Do you have Raytracing On? If so turn that Off. Also uncheck the box for Distant Animations. Start there and see if there are any changes.

Yes as that's linked to Steam Cloud Save. I have done this multiple times.
