U2 interpreta esta canción de Bob Dylan en su fabuloso Rattle and Hum. Aquí, el track No. 5 del CD, versión diferente a la incluida en el DVD de la misma producción.
U2 was introduced to me by a very close friend in 6th grade, and by God ther still fking amazing...ther music brings so many moments in my life love it!!!
We are so grateful for your life your BONO, happy birthday- nothing in this world will ever be as good as you are to the globe and IRELAND, we love you so much- this will never change your meaning and difference because you are out IRISH ☘️ EVER and happy birthday as always.
Just to put the argument at rest; "All Along The Watchtower" is a song originally written and composed by Bob Dylan :(en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_Along_the_Watchtower) But the song is made more popular and became more identified with Jimi Hendrix in "Jimi Hendrix Experience" album. And it was the Jimi Hendrix`s version that put the song onto the Top 20 chart but still the credit must go to Bob Dylan. As a tribute to Jimi Hendrix, Bob admitted that Jimi`s version was far better than his in terms of musical arrangement.
Me gusta mucho la aclaratoria de este video, es más, el ridmo suena como a Los Rolling Stone. Toda la energía del rock and roll. ¡Que viva el rock por siempre! Mis futuros hijos lo sabran apreciar!
Perhaps if U2 actually spent as much time as Hendrix on preparing for this song it would've been better for you who idolize Hendrix's version and hate this one. I for one think this is a fine cover.
@mikedude509 I'd have to agree with you on both points. I love U2, but they could have done better. If you watch this actual performance video, they didn't know the words 100% before going on stage. They were in the tour bus telling someone to go find the lyrics as they stumbled with it. In their defense, it was a surprise show in SF that they just put together on the spot. This was the show where Bono spray paints, "Rock n roll stops the traffic" on a wall.
I would have appreciated it more if Edge at least tipped his hat to Hendrix. Yes it is Dylan, but most people have never heard it without JH. Edge is playing Edge, he could have stepped out of the box for at least 4 bars :/
Just been listening through various versions of this song. U2's version is fairly straightforward. Hendrix does the best version IMO, but for originality, check out the version by English band, XTC …. czcams.com/video/6qXxOSYZi7U/video.html
I'm telling a fact, both Jimi and U2 made a cover of a Dylan's song and I think the original is better than this versions but it's only my opinion... sadly I don't have a universal truth like bacilloz71. Anyway I'd love to here this song live when I went to see Bono and co. in Argentina a couple years ago.
Rattle And Hum is an awesome album and movie.
Bono really rocks this tune
I wanna say Happy 61st Birthday to U2'S Lead Singer Bono!Bono Rock &Roll stops the traffic

Bono's vocals are peerless here.
@Muhammad Moosa Bono will playing Clay Calloway the lion in Sing 2 December 22nd in movie theater
The Edge’s citation of Hendrix’s American Anthem solo at the end of the song is gold. Absolutely brilliant

Grande interpretação do U-2.

HOLY SHIT THIS IS UNDERRATED AF!
Bob Dylan debe estar orgulloso 😎
Great music, great lyrics, great artists.
This is the best version over Dylan's and Hendrix's. Bono's performance can't be beat at all.

of course no one can play it like him because there's just one Jimi Hendrix.
Hendrix power💯
El mejor cover de esta canción, hay que gritarlo !
Te puede gustar U2, pero para versiones mejores, casi cualquiera de Neil Young. Recreate en las locas guitarras del monstruo canadiense.

Damn you Mucinex!
Shit yeah!
Bear McCreary! he did a good one of this with his brother
What, no guitar solos ? How does Mr. Evans regularly finish in the top ten of alltime greatest guitarists ?
Its Bob Dylan's original song, but yah I agree with you on that..
no one' no one do it like jimi..... even the grates band in the world....

Dan Curtis
I've noticed that about Edge, he has his own unique way of playing. I think just a salute to Hendrix would have been alright.
No point nodding to Hendrix since it's not his song.
Don't get me wrong Hendrix version is on the top. But it comes a little to music taste also.
yeah but this one is great too
But the Hendrix version... Masterpiece
i repeat! No one, even the original singer can play it as Jimi...
Or sing it!
They cut out the speech, bono made in the movie version
They probably heard it for the first time about 2 weeks before they made those comments haha.
For me better than the original❤
