VW Grand California 600 Tour

Today we're looking at a VW Grand California 600 tour as one has just arrived on site with us here at VW Van Centre Liverpool!
I love the Grand California 600. Unlike the Grand California 680, this is designed for two adults and two children as you'll see with the optional upper bed (which can sleep one adult if needed).
I'm really interested to know what you think about this model. Do you like the Grand California 600? Would you rather have something BIGGER like the Grand Cali 680? Or would you still rather have something smaller, and more usable as a daily driver, like the California Ocean? Let me know in the comments.

Thanks for the comprehensive tour Chris. Good to see that Swansway, at least, have someone completely enthused by and knowledgeable about the GC. I just wish that VW had done a better job of all the high lockers. Catches are awful and I’d be anxious about them failing. The wooden or mdf baton which runs through all the upper lockers ruins the utility of the upper lockers - pushes items forward and prevents any vertical stack of clothing items. All need the restraint mesh found in the rear locker and I wonder if any are now being sold to fit to prevent everything just falling out after travelling.

It would definitely be nice to see a next generation of the GC with some much requested changes, but I still love this vehicle.

Really love Grand California's. Ours is the 680 version and our first trip away in it was all the way down to Spain through France over Chrismas and New Year. Fantastic! Loads more planned for this year, from the North of Scotland to Cornwall, the Channel Islands, and back to Spain again.

Do love the Grand; but equally I think the consumer market just cant beat the Ocean proposition. We could live with the height of the GC600 for our family - but the refinement of the Ocean over the GC (no DSG, fabric lined paneling, no inverter) only goes to show just how great an Ocean is.
That said, hot water and a permanently made bed? Envy.

This is only the first version of this model, too. I can't wait to see if / when they refine it in the future.
