    I have been using the white glow puppet minnow to catch burbot and it has been performing flawlessly. 9/16 oz falls to 70 ft great 👍🏻

    Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit czcams.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

    Buckshot spoon is definitely my #1 walleye spoon

  • @larrylefebvre2237

    Buck Shot soon is great especially with a fast tach clip and minnow head. The fish can't pull the head off of the hook.

    Buckshot spoons work but they tend to tangle when jigging them aggressively. Lindy Rattlin flyer spoon #1 for me..

    Treble hook spinner jig with a Berkley Gulp Minnow on invisible fluorocarbon. Easy, clean, no need for live baits, hard to lose the minnow. Works everrrrrry time on everrrrrrything. Get the jigs on Temu dirt cheap.

    Thanks, Nick. What are the rod and reel combos you are using with those baits?

    • @NickLindner
      @NickLindner Před 2 lety +2

      Most the baits I use a TUCR Precision with a 1000 size spinning reel. For small tungstens, I'll use a Bullwhip or a St. Croix spring bobber rod with either a 1000 sized reel or an in-line reel

    3 things. Wicked stash. Also do they make a larger forage minnow jig. And that jig is amazing for so many fish if you don't have one in your arsenal get one use it.

    • @NickLindner
      @NickLindner Před 2 lety +1

      I believe the largest size they make is 1/8, which has worked great for me with walleyes/bass, etc.

      @@NickLindner for sure works great for all species I have encountered but the hooks tend to bend on larger fish and also do not stay sharp long at all. This can be helped by sharpening myself but is not ideal for the every day consumer. And the hooks bending is also not ideal to all anglers as once the steel has been stressed it don't last long after. Tell the boys at Northlands we need strong hooks and sharper lol. But other wise this is a wicked tool to have recommend to everyone as they catch fish. Sorry for the rant. Love the vids.

    When to or not, use quick chage clip vs tieing direct to floro. Personally I tie direct, when using mudbug, gillgetter or tiny jighead l want laying straight.

      My friend gives me crap for even having braid & clips. lve proven just braid catches fish.

      I understand where you are coming from, but also, you're Northland's CZcams channel, so it's safe to assume there's going to be an emphasis on the lures that they produce.
