I swear this remix goes back around 8 years, it was a short snippet I did (that got lost) that was always asking to be made into the full thing. So a few years back I did exactly that but with older instrument patches and samples, which were a bit deep fried lol. Anyway, but here is a classic remix of Harvey's Theme! I used some of the Breakdown Train Theme as the inspiration for the percussion, using the rim and hats to emulate the crane and the chain in Harvey's mechanism working.

Hey everyone.
Just a quick message. While I know a lot of you enjoy the recreations of O'Donnell and Campbell's legendary work for TTTE. I'd also really appreciate if you'd take a look at music I've written too. I'm looking to experiment and expand as a composer to test my range and ideas, the Thomas stuff is nostalgic and everything but the original works is what I really enjoy to work with. I can imagine this theme playing in a different timeline where instead of “ Thomas And The Breakdown Train “, it would’ve been “ Thomas And The Crane Engine. “
But that kind of takes away from Thomas' arc since Harvey is autonomous unlike the Breakdown Train

I've always loved Harvey. He seemed to fit in the ttte universe so well. That being said this take on his theme in a season 1/2 is new & interesting, it leads with wonderful results. Every new idea that comes to your mind it pays off with your skills & music talents. Overall, this was a outstanding treat you uploaded this evening. Bravo! 😊😊👏👏👏

Oh how long I’ve waited for this moment, for it has finally arrived! The instrumentation in this S1/S2 style track is astounding, it feels like time traveling back to around 1984-1986 when Thomas the Tank Engine was in its prime.

Lovely cover! It's interesting to hear the bells here, too. Are they part of the classic sound library or added from the later ones?
Well, they are standard Mixcraft Tubular Bells. But I can imagine back in the 80s they always had some cheap tubular bell samples on some keyboards or sample libraries.
Think Harold and the Scottish Twins Themes where timpanis where sampled. They probably could’ve done that with a bell to if they truly wanted to.

If Harvey were introduced in Season 1-2 instead of 6, his theme would sound something like this. I like Harvey’s season 6 theme but I like this too!!! This one has the season 1-2 style instruments (Jupiter Synthesizers or something like that). I like how you do characters themes in the styles of seasons when they weren’t introduced yet.
Imagine if season 1-2 was full of new engines each episode (ngl)
Theme suggestion, the Thomas sing along “Come for The Ride” to the rhythm and beat to Jerry Lee Lewis’ song “Great Balls Of Fire” if you don’t know it, I’d suggest listening to it
