Its like these are detailed more 😮 Excellent Trip to the Store complete.😊🙋♀️🐿️🤗
Thanks for the show.Gonna look good along with some old comic book ads.
You bet
👍👍
Man what a great store
Love 'em! It would be really cool to build a kind of staging area in your yard, out of dirt and rocks and maybe a little concrete----and have a place to replicate battle scenes. Showcase them with your video and photography skills.
Cool picks!!
Love the Japanese soldiers & the cavemen! That Pvt. D'Angelo is a gem. I bet there are not many of those around anymore!
Yea....after looking at Pvt D'Angelo...i think i am going to go to that dump later today and dig in that area.
Nice score ! You got a nice collection now !
They were my fav as a kid legend mate
Nice
You found some really, really cool soldiers, Rocks, but I LOVE those Cavemen. I'd like to find a complete set of those!❤
Yea...I had those cavemen. They came with this plastic grey rock face with a cave....and dinosaurs and little plastic trees. I think it even had a mat you paid down with terrain on it
Boy, does that bring back some memories!
My brother and I would set up our army's and take turns knocking them down with rubber bands.
Good times. Mike
Or BB guns. We had an above ground pool for a couple years. Old man got tired of it. He gave us one summer to use the dead spot for a battle ground. We'd spend all morning digging trenches and building forts. Then destroy it in half an hour. Then get up the next day and do it again. Very fond chilhood memories. Thanks.
I love antique and thrift stores. Found a medicine bottle from the 20s or 30s at Goodwill for $1.99 recently and couldn't believe my luck.
Oh wow! I have found a few things at good will...but never any bottles yet. I usually find furniture in the ones here
My brothers used to have the plastic soldiers. They got into sending money orders over to the UK to buy Hinchcliff Napoleonic unpainted lead soldiers. They had the military books showing the uniform detail to be able to paint the fine detail. The kitchen table would be covered in their mass production of regiments. The days before computer screens/device's.
I actually am old enough...I had some of these when i was a kid. I had the stretcher guys with the wounded soldier. Marx went of of business in the 1980's I think. They mde playsets up till the end. I had lots of marx toys in the 1970's
30mm toy soldiers were my passion when I was a kid. The first bag that you said were older were to me, modern. I think they were repros, but those molds first came out towards the end of theVietnam War. The originals were all dark green. The Japanese were always hard to find. Marx didn't make a lot of them compared to other countries. They are really cool. The tripod machie gun should go with the Japanese. That is definitely a Japanese machibe gun. The bag of Germans were also very interesting and different from anything Marx made. The smaller ones are 25mm as opposed to 30mm. Still cool. The big catch were the cavemen and Pvt. D'Angelo. Worth everything you spent, probably. I'd say Marx originals from the '60's. Thanks Rocks.
They are marked on the bottom. "china" so what has happened. I would say they got the molds.....and are redoing them. They are knockoffs....but I think older ones....maybe 1970's.
Man oh man, you got enough of them now to set up different scenarios with 2 different countries fighting with the U S. What a value you have there for such low prices. Have fun and take care.
Be nice to find a bag from the set Pvt. D'Angelo came from. I'll start watching out for Army Men + the Cowboy & Indians sets. Used to see them alot, but haven't seen any lately. :~)
The cave men are pretty cool 😎 ✌
I'm in racine selling rocks n crystals today would love to meet u sometime
I believe that the machine gunner with the tripod might be from a Japanese soldier set
Cavemen is not MARX, they are Timmee. Knights are Hong Kong. japanese are not MARX- hong kong copies of Hing fat. US troops are Matchbox and are vintage.Germans are copies of Airfix from china. Pvt D'angelo is a MARX 'Gallant Man' and worth 25-30 US.
I have some auburn chickens in original bag scott
My brothers had some lead solders I can’t remember where they got them they was 9 and 14 years older lol the solders are cool
