Ian played in the NFL for 9 years as an offensive lineman who had his share of trench warfare that lineman see in the NFL. Dr. Lox has treated many athletes from a wide array of sports in his career.
Cindy began by asking Dr. Lox what was different about treating professional athletes? Dr. Lox responded with athletes have goals whether they are returning to the game or retired. In returning to the game, the clock is ticking to get them back to peak performance for a season, in this case professional football.
Injuries or prior surgery complicate professional football players, and the constant trauma of contact sports. All this factors in to decisions for Sports and Regenerative Medicine, Stem Cell Therapy applications, science and Rehabilitation. Ian Beckles was a offensive lineman tasked with protecting the quarterback, and blocking tenacious defensive players from disrupting the offensive game. A very physical job.
