Hybrid Sliding and Swing Gates

Project completion and summary explanation of control system on a hybrid smart gate design and build. Combining sliding and swing gate systems into one residential project with voice, APP and hard wired button controls.
For demonstration purposes, an Amazon Echo Dot was plugged into an external power supply. The voice assistant can't pick up commands uttered outside the home unless the Alexa APP is used.

Great idea/design - just out of interest, did you consider a telescopic sliding gate setup? And if so why did you go with a hybrid setup - I prefer your setup for what you have but just wondering.

I did consider telescopic among other designs. For the complexity involved in the setup of a telescopic system and the lesser benefits, including the loss of pedestrian access without the hybrid design, I decided against telescopic.

Neat! Is it obvious to visitors or postman that there is a pedestrian gate? Never seen that design before but it is neat - some good technical challenges there :)

Thanks. There are no markings yet, but I will put a gold paint mark, or small push sign on the outside section in the coming days to draw attention to the pedestrian gate. It has yet to cause a problem, though it did confuse a delivery man the other day, partly because I was in the garden doing some work and he was trying to not look confused by a gate :D
The design is unique with my research showing no comparable setups.
