I just bought this a couple days ago and finished making one today. This is my first Quilt-As-You-Go purchase and I have to say that I am THOROUGHLY pleased!!! I made this bag in the video (funny because I didn't watch this until just now, hours after I finished) and I enjoyed every single step of the process. This was a LOT of fun to make. The plastic base is such a fantastic addition to these bags. Starting off was a little challenging as I wasn't sure what it was about. After I made the first 2 seams, I realized what was going on. It is basically paper-piecing, but on a large scale. SMART idea!! I am going to start on the second one right away. A really fun part is planning the fabric placement!! I will be getting more of these kits to make bags for family members for the holidays. They are a perfect size!! I am looking forward to getting more projects in the future, for sure.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a purple tomato pincushion. That is so cute.

I have the kits. Can't wait to start! I love the fabric you used. What is the name of the fabrics? Love your video!

      Hi Frances,
The fabrics we used were an assortment of what we had in our stash and a few things we picked up at our local fabric store to match. The piecing on the outsides of the totes utilize a lot of relatively smaller pieces so these projects are great stash busters.

I believe the fabric is from Robin Pickens
