Hey y’all! I’m Brijin (bridge-inn), the Museum Stitcher! In this episode, I'm recapping my experience at Stitch-Con 2023 along with all of the goodies I started and purchased while I was there! I was at Stitch-Con weekend A. I am 1/2 of the twin sisters who walked around and handed out a floss card. My first Stitch-Con, but not my last. Had a lot of fun.

Im very behind on Greenhouse, working on being mostly caught up because it is such a fun stitch. Also I love Sulky threads, they have some really nice variegated ones too
I just did a WIP parade because I wanted to see and touch everything and while I’m not ready to UFO anything, it did help to see what I could finish/was neglected.

current book im reading is The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon. its a behemoth of a book but im about 75% of the way through. not sure if i will tackle the prequel anytime soon, i plan on reading the Throne of Glass series next! i really enjoy reading fantasy books the most 💛
You're in luck, the WIP Parade is live! I've just started Priory! I'm only about 20 percent in right now but I'm loving the high fantasy! I tend to be a roman-tasy girl myself!

Always enjoy a WIP parade, especially as your work seems to differ from things I would usually choose for myself. Currently stitching while catching up on your stitch con joy…. Hope you get to do that again as it sounds like you absolutely loved it. I’ve got a birthday start planned (Sing a Sampler series from Silver Creek Samplers) but haven’t actually put a stitch in it yet, and we’re about a week past my birthday already. Still you can have a birthday MONTH right??! I dont know how to make a butterfly but imagine one here …. ….. got it? Good lol take care, Nic x

That one plant on the ground is a Welwitschia mirabilis. They can get extremely old. Or that is my guess anyway😁.

A whole year of Flosstube! Congrats. So happy you enjoyed Stitch Con. Have only gone on quilting retreats & do remember how much fun they were. I, of course, would cross stitch at those, along w/quilting. Some day I will go to a dedicated stitching retreat. (Pearl just cracked me up!)
