Daft Punk was ahead of its time, it's amazing how repetitive music can become so addictive because it's so well done. By the way, my favorite part of this song is the final synthesizer part, it gives the song a dark and melancholic air, very late 90's...
Hip Hop dancers = Bass
Skelettons = Guitars
Swimmers = Lead synths (melody)
Mummies = Beat
Robots = vocals
thats supposed to be a guitar? It sounds like a pure synth
Is pure synth but some are based in classic intrument
I never noticed that!
Who Vocal On Around The World
the bass goes so hard on this
Everything goes hard on this
Absolutely one of the coolest and best dance songs in history. Always makes me dance every time. And the video is SO trippy.
I remember this in the clubs back in 98 when I was 21.
this video debut was the shiiii back in the day...MTV GOLD
YES PLEASE BRING DAFT PUNK ALBUM REVIEWS BACK
There's a track on this same album called "Teachers" where Daft Punk basically list many of their influences.
So check that out and then listen to some of the DJs/Producers mentioned there to get a better idea of how this dynamic duo came to be.
in case you wanna see it, there's a behind the scenes video on yt about the hole preparation for this, from the building of the set to the rehearsals for the coregraphy. it's actually insane that everything there is completely real, no cgi or vfx. real set and real clockwork coreography
I like when he said "Around the World".
It's basically a live concert where they remixed all their trackseventually you guys should check out the Alive 2007 album. You guys already know a bunch of their tracks, it'll be really fun.
It's basically a remix concert where they combined all of their tracks together. The more Daft Punk you know, the better Alive 2007 becomes.
This song was huge in the clubs when it came out (us old folk remember)
this chune goes bananas at the roller rink as well
I think Ryan will like Bryan Ferry - Don’t Stop The Dance
You can listen to JUSTICE, it’s a Frenchtouch group, I think you’ll like it
Has anyone mentioned "Technologic"?
Michel Gondry is a genius video director. He directed most of Bjork's videos
As well as Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Be Kind Rewind and Dave Chappelle’s Block Party.
@@FirstNameLastName-io5co OH YES! They were amazing 👏
@@michaelconnolly7681 However, the less said about Green Hornet, the better. I just looked at his wikipedia page. Dude has worked with everyone: Bjork, Daft Punk, White Stripes, The Rolling Stones, Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters, Kanye West, Beck, Radiohead and one of my all time favorite covers, Michael Andrews’ and Gary Jules’ Mad World from Donnie Darko.
@@FirstNameLastName-io5co Indeed! He has worked with everyone. I had a dvd collection of 'The work on Michel Gondry' it was his music videos up to that point. Watching it was like being whisked off to different universes. I haven't seen all the work he has done with everyone mentioned in your comment, just some, but I'll look out for it. Can I recommend his video ' IAM- Je danse la mia' if you haven't seen it-its really cool and it's my favourite.
@@michaelconnolly7681 I have that! I love this collection of music videos. There are more collections on DVD from other well-known directors Mark Romanek and Spike Jonze.
One of the best movie soundtracks ever. Something About Us, with the video, rips your guts out every single time.
That was a cool ass video! I've never seen it before. Great reaction guys!
I was in my early 20s when this came out lol
Well, in my opinion no one can rival Daft Punk, but you could also react to Justice (the studio albums "Cross" or "Audio, Video, Disco" are fire).
You might think of LCD Soundsystem's "Daft Punk is Playing at My House"
This was my generation's version of Herbie Hancock's "Rockit"
hahaha love the instant head bobbing as soon as the song starts.
oh and on another not. correct me if im wrong here but but i remember being told that the different carrecters reprisent the different melodies/instruments used in the song.
I know you guys tend to like older music, but you should try War On Drugs "Harmonias Dream" from the 2021 album I Don't Live Here Anymore. It has an old sound, while also mixing in modern keyboards etc. I'm 52 and I was a kid when Time Passages and Year of the Cat were new, and War On Drugs remind me of that time
You should check out some of Thomas Bangalter's solo tracks like Roule Boule, and What To Do. Both are excellent representations of the TRUE Chicago House style, and I STILL toss them into Jackin House DJ sets!
Great reaction to a great track
Look, I couldn’t click like fast enough for this song. I saw and heard this song for the first time on MTV and I could not
Sativa + Genius.
Great song!
You guys should do Da Funk, which is another track from this era of Daft Punk. Alternatively, Music Sounds Better With You is a good choice. It's both Daft Punk guys, but they released the song under the name Stardust.
You want more like this? Ceckout: Junior Senior Move your Feet
I think I understand what this symbolises. No matter how high up you are you will need to go back down. Even when dead your soul will continue. Even when you are bones you will not stop. Either that or this song is the embodiment of Autism. Btw I have autism
Never can remember the lyrics to this song.
I am sorry that Daft Punk decided to disband a few years ago😔
They introduced French house to us in 1983, well us Canadians, and took it thru clubs & eventually to radio. You US peeps might have missed out on the best dance music there ever was in the late '90's, unless you REALLY liked Barbie Girl by Aqua! This music had a deep bass that kept you dancing😃
How do you know if someone is from Canada?
Don't worry they'll f***ing tell you.
Chemical Brothers!
Check out the Album Strange Attitude by Benjamin Diamond
If I was a billionaire I'd have a room in my house where this was happening 24/7
The song is ok the video is iconic. My son & I got into the Discovery LP simultaneously cos this video piqued my interest. Have you done any of the live 2007 album? I'll look up your Discovery reactions - You'd probably enjoy the Interstella 5555 film.
The video is iconic, the song is legendary.
They said ''Around the World''
92 times.
I think in the extended version they say it 144 times
@@LeminationOfficial 😳
you guys should try Infected Mushroom! you could start with "Heavyweight"
not actually related to Daft Punk but I've been watching your videos for the last couple of months and I always wanted to give my recommendation
Please do the entire Homework album
Chemical Bros.
Do something by Justice.
Maybe should start with thé start of a homework daftendirekt. Around the World IS a 7 th
please react to some songs from Random access memories it's a great album
Interstella 5555 anime was based on their album "Discovery". It contains far better songs than this.
they actually reacted to the entire discovery album
@@titicaca. Ok then !
I Love Discovery And Interstella 5555
How much time the word around the world is?
Where is more Daft Punk !!?!
Love this song, but first time seeing the video and hate the video.
6;00 ohh yeah )
