- Did Vigano Just Deny ALL Popes Since Vatican II?
Michael Lofton covers Vigano's new claim that the authority of the post-conciliar popes must be questioned. He also addresses the implications this has on many Catholics. Then, Michael considers the statements of Bishop Strickland in relation to Vigano and Cardinal McCarrick, as well as John Henry Westen's (LifeSiteNews) comments about Vigano's excommunication in light of Rupnik.

I just came out of Protestantism. I ainât going back⊠this is crazy sad to see happening. Thank you for all your hard work bringing this to light!
Glad to help!
I also came back from Protestantism. I reverted back to Catholicism in July 2015.
This is not new to Catholic because the devil wants to destroy the church. The evil is using bishops ,priest and even the pope for confusions. That's why it's hard to be Catholic we really needs strength, faith and discernment from God or else we're lost. God bless the Catholic Church and it's members.
Please continue with the work you do ML. I am a 70yo ex alter boy (I was never exposed to the maltreatment others have informed us of). I am not a very faithful catholic, but I have been faithful in batches throughout my years. But I use people like you and your message to give me some focus and more likely to be faithful. I am a sinner and wish I wasnât, if you could spare a prayer I would appreciate it.

@@joechriste7052 and The Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I started watching this video and all of the questions you raised that Vigano believes and the ramifications shocked me. It was then IMMEDIATELY that I posted it on X. Vigano must be stopped.
So how does the idea that most priests and bishops today are not validly ordained not contradict the indefectibility of the church, Archbishop Vigano?
I actually feel bad for Catholics who still support Vigano, Fr. Altman, and others. Because they truly believe the Church is being murdered, and they believe Vigano etc. are the voices of reason who are finally standing up for Holy Mother Church. I think they're very badly mistaken, but THEY don't see how mistaken they are. They're in panic, and looking everywhere for the nearest savior of the Church and Faith. The trouble is they're hard to correct. I've been trying for many years. Many are too proud, and have secularized and politicized Catholic orthodoxy to such an extent that correcting them is as difficult as correcting heretics in the early Church. It was always easier to convert pagans than to correct the errant faithful.
If all post V-II is invalid, then Vigano would be an invalid Archbishop/Cleric. Possibly a non-Catholic if his baptism was "invalid". Falls flat on its face for his position
He received his sacraments other than his ordination and consecration as a bishop prior to V2, so heâs âsafeâ in that respect, but otherwise heâs just admitted the sacraments he gave others are invalidâŠbut I suspect heâs not thought that through.
Saint John Paul the II had many miracles done by his hands while he was still alive. Lots of books and testmonies about It. This is just sad....
Even Michael Vorhis, formerly of Church Militant, would not say Francis wasn't Pope.
God bless HIM
Church Militant were a lot of things, but when someone actually denies Pope Francis, they did step back wholeheartedly
Iâm so tired of Vigano. He is poisoning the people of God and leading many down a path of hell. So sad to see so many of our brothers and sisters losing the true faith, going into apostasyâŠ. We have to continue to pray for them. The pope needs to start making examples of laity *cough cough* Taylor Marshall⊠and excommunicate them⊠my only fear with that is that many will then fall with him.
How many more will fall if he isn't excommunicated?
@@joechriste7052 a lot I suppose. It is unfortunate.
Fear not for Jesus said:
"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me; and I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Fatherâs hand. I and the Father are one. (John 10:28-30).
The ones who are to fall into this schismatic trap may not be the ones the Father gave to the Son.
A Jesuit can not be Pope
@@Derek.753 huh?
LSN has been opposing Pope Francis since 2013. I experienced it. It was shocking to me
Damn, I never knew that the message of La Salette was added to ('seat of the antichrist'). I never really bought that "Rome will be the seat of the antichrist" bit anyway. Rather, I never interpreted it to be literal. Still, that's a pretty big bomb you dropped about the addition to the message. I never knew that. You do very good work!
Kind of was considering Vigano was in Rome and creating a separate Church.
Oh yes! St JP2 had Fr John Hardon giving catechism classes when that poor saintly man look 100 yrs old for this very reason. Fr Hardon, a true prophet and a Jesuit, who often mentioned the order's specific rule of obedience to the pope forewarned this very thing. If you don't know your faith, you won't make it in these times, no matter who you are in the body of Christ.
Fr. Hardon was a great man. He said that fidelity to the Roman Pontiff is a litmus test for faith.
That would mean that all the saints who were canonized since Vatican 2 wouldn't be recognized by them as well. Rubbish!
Well, some in the extreme have said that certain Saints shouldnât have been recognized cause they didnât meet the extremeâs criteria. I know Saint Faustina and her writings related to Divine Mercy have been attacked for years, and people claim she was only canonized cause St. Pope JPII was Polish. Even though her work was severely misunderstand in translation and that stuff has been settled for a long while now.
Some argue the Vatican hasnât been picking the âcorrectâ saints cause they are not always martyrs, religious, or have done something big and grand. Even though the Vatican has throughout the years lifted certain people up more than others depending on the circumstances of the time.
There was a ânontroversyâ with the extreme side concerning Blessed Carlo Acutis, where some of his images and stained glass had him wearing jeans and *gasp* tennis shoes. The extreme Rad Trad threw a fit saying how âunfittingâ it was for a saint to be depicted as such, that there is a âtimelessâ tradition of depictions of great and holy men and women, blah blah blah. Never mind that the boy was born in 1990 and died in 2006, and was a normal boy who played soccer, video games, and did some programming. Like, he didnât join an order or anything and he just lived a very holy life. Heâs going to be one of the youngest and most current year Saints the Church has had, no duh heâs not going to be depicted as a Medieval monk or older missionary đ
Thank you for the information. The extreme side often cite that Saint Padre only said the Latin Mass and use him to push their agenda. Nevermind that he agreed to the Interim Missal and died before the Novos Ordo was fully implemented. By their own standards, he would not be a Saint since he was canonized by Saint Pope John Paul 2. They can't have it both ways! Saint Padre Pio, pray for us and the church.
@@meganne6937 good point. Iâve seen the â3 Days of Darknessâ groups also try to claim Padre Pio supported their conspiracy theory, even though there is almost no evidence of Padre Pio ever talking about it and even his own convent and secretary deny he said or endorsed anything like that. And thatâs not even concerning the fact that even one of their âprimary sourcesâ (canât remember the sisterâs name at the moment) is based off shaky evidence.
I really think St. Padre Pio would be ashamed of how his supporters are acting with Pope Francis and the current Magisterium. Padre Pio was obedient to his superiors even when he saw that his stigmata and other gifts being harshly critiqued. There was a movie I saw where a scene showed him slapping a man for bad mouthing the local Bishop (even though that Bishop (?) was definitely not acting appropriately with ladies!) and since most everything else seemed accurate, Iân sure something similar happened in real life.
Didn't we just see some of them get a riled up about Blessed Carlo Acuttis getting approved for canonization because "he doesn't dress like a saint"
Dressed like a saint, tell that Jesus on the Cross. Sorry, but that makes me so mad. I know you donât agree with it, but that idea is so stupid. Again I know you didnât agree with it.
I do disagree with certain things he said and appointments that he made but I refuse to say The Holy Father is not pope, my soul is to precious for me to lose it over to people that constantly argues the validity of Pope Francis Papacy and the Vatican 2 councilTheres so much prayer needed for those people and reparations
Rather than repenting Viganoâs pride is pushing him further and further away from the Holy Roman Catholic Church.
Bingo Michael! Vigano anticipated the Mccarrick scandal was going public and he did whatever he thought would get him off the hook and shifted the blame to Pope Francis. That's exactly the strong impression I got from watching your video 'Uncovering the real story: Archbishop Vigano and Cardinal Mccarrick'.
Spot on.
Sometimes I wonder if Vigano went crazy.
Simply I stand by the successor of PeterđMatthew 16: 18-19
âAnd so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church,* and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it.
19
l I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven.* Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.â
It's the ending we would suspect when you go down the sede/schism route.
Oh boy, Viganoâs claim opens a whole can of worms and innocent people would be damned to hell. It is staggering!

Decided to posability buy my first Rosary just afraid of the possible backlash when anti-catholics i know like my parents will found out
If you are feeling called to begin a Rosary devotion, then go for it. It may help to also get a pamphlet or book about what the Rosary is about (origin, the history, its relation to Scripture, uses, etc). That way when you are confronted, you have something to tell them when they talk to you. If youâre unsure how to respond, take the key complaints they have, excuse yourself from them, and search answers and responses online. Lots of people attack the Rosary, and lots more have combatted those attacks very well.
The full 5 decade Rosaries are common, but of you want something a bit more discrete for now there are decade Rosaries that just have a crucifix, the Our Father bead, and 10 Hail Mary beads. You would have to keep up with whatever Mystery you are on, but it may be good if youâre still trying to go through the entire Rosary. Thereâs also ring decades, canât remember what itâs actually called, but itâs a ring with knobs on the outside and a crucifix that you place on your finger and pray around that way.
Just a thought if you want to start and donât feel comfortable being too exposed at the moment.
Ironic that our Holy Father has so often been accused of being anti-Christ and the ones that level that claim are the very ones that Sacred Scripture would put that label on. May God have mercy on His Excellency Vigano and all that may be deceived by this plan of the devil.
The narrator's voiceover for Vigano sounds like prominent Sedevacantist.
Peter Dimond?
To use his own words: I wear that excommunication with a badge of honor. The Church of Jesus Christ is surely led well by Pope Francis!
I don't think that Marshall or Strickland will even address that Vigano has denied all post conciliar popes. I think they'll just ignore it.
yep
For someone who earned a doctorate in utroque iure (both civil and canon law), Vigano would have known better about Canon Law and its interpretation. He certainly has an agenda and a motive. Why otherwise would he ignore Canon Law that he is well versed with?
How Vigano opens a can of worms with his assertion! Good riddance to him!
Since he was canonised in 68 and the Vatican council2 ended in 65 does that mean he was never legitimised as a Priest? By his own words?
He apparently thought so which is why he was âreordainedâ by Williamson (former SSPX âbishopâ).
@@tm1830 didnât he break away from the SSPX? To form his own version?

To V- "Let your language be meek, open and sincere without the least mixture of equivocation, artifice, or dissimulation; for although it may be not be always advisable to say all that is true, yet it is never allowable to speak against truth. Accustom yourself, therefore, never to tell a deliberate lie, either way of excuse or otherwise; remembering always that God is God of truth. Should you tell a lie inadvertently, fail not to correct it upon the spot by some explanation or reparation; an honest excuse has always more grace and force to bear one harmless then a lie " ~ St. Francis de Sales Ephesians 4:29-32
Good to know! Thanks!
Interesting, he seems to think St. Pope John XXIII was legitimate. Normally, they reject him and say that the last valid pope was Venerable Pius XII.
Even Vigano was ordained as a priest AFTER the Vatican II. So if he denied the validity of VII, it meant he shouldn't call himself a priest, that would make he couldn't be a bishop. He is not even a priest...
What is the possibility of him starting an sspx style church
I give it 99.9999999% likely to happen.
Only reason I can doubt is if he doesnât get enough high value donors to run to when his consequences catch up to him. Kind of like how Martin Luther wormed his way into the German upper class to protect him from his excommunication from the Church.
Though, someone in a comment on one of these videos mentioned even the more official SSPX groups donât agree with him, so heâll be a fringe of a fringe
He already has
Heâs already doing that.
Are we not all one body in Christ. I believe this and all that has happened in His Holy Church. Sinful and given mercy
No, it is not about the laity. and our sacraments. I never even heard of archbishop Vigano until 2012 when he was 71 and came out about financial reform needed within the Church.. In 2015 it was archbishop Vigano who helped set up Pope Francis's visit to the US so it would seem they were on good terms and then he retired in 2016. So essentially his life as a priest is over. Then all the drama started. Just so sad. Pray for a resolution or a good deathbed confession.. It makes me question why as a layperson am I attracted to this drama.?
Sounds like we have a fallen angel. Now excommunicated.
Where did the original video come from? Is it on Viganoâs website?

Sedevancatism: not even once
why the video footage of Vigano does not sink with the words and looks like AI animation?
Wikipedia has a very long article about archbishop Vigana with so many details about the infighting, and I have no idea what the whole truth is.
If you watch the video where Michael goes through the McCarrick report youâll be more certain where the truth lies.
Hi Michael, Dr. Taylor Marshal recognize Pope Francis as the Pope, and He is praying for Vigano and Pope Francis in todays livestreaming. people getting scared, I suppose.
Vigano was ordained a priest in 1968 and you have to be a priest in order to be a Bishop. Just saying.
Hi Michael, I sent you an email concerning the Wisconsin cumberland hermitage.
Have Vigano and company picked a name for their parallel church yet? If not, perhaps you should coin a reasonably appropriate moniker and see if you can get the media to follow along. Itâs going to get confusing pretty quickly if everybody is calling themselves âThe Catholic Churchâ. Ideally, the new name would be something that clearly distinguishes them from Rome, but is something they would be okay with being called. I have no idea what that might be, but maybe you would have some ideas. Just a thought.
I coined it already. The viganite church. Viganism. Viganites.
I could not post the link in the comments, but the original advertising jingle for the Australian food spread âVegemiteâ does spring to mind. The advert is easy to find on YT, and I think the modified lyrics for the new Church of Viganites could be as follows:
đ”Weâre schismatic little Viganites as right as right can be . We all deny the last six Popes at breakfast, lunch and tea. Our mislead group is growing stronger every single week because we love our Viganites . We all adore our Viganites . You wonât believe our utter cheek. đ”

Vigano was never a priest if heâs right about Vatican II, or maybe he gets in because his bishop was pre Vatican II? so thereâs that.

He was recently reordained by bishop Williamson because he felt he wasnât validly ordained by the âVatican ii sectâ

@@ReasonandTheology I appreciate your videos, and I think you do an outstanding job in defending the Church against eastern orthodox. I think you would improve your videos a lot from the viewers perspective if you began using chapter marks in your videos like Matt Fradd does.
16:23 why is vigaNO using my name in his video?! đ
Read Today's Catholic World.
I thought the church of the east came back into communion?
There are some eastern churches that are in communion with Rome and there are some that are not. For example, Greek Orthodox are not in communion with Rome, but the Melkite Greek Catholic Church is.
There are nearly two dozen eastern churches in communion with Rome. We call them eastern Catholic Churches like the Maronites, the Melkites and Byzantine Catholics. The ones that isnât in communion with Rome are the Eastern Orthodox churches.
Ok I got it. I leave out the eastern part and just call them orthodox. The eastern church I say for the ones that are with us. Shame thereâs so many non-Protestant branches.
@@stainedglasssparrow9636 Ironically, those who call themselves the "Orthodox" (name) are not orthodox (adjective).
We shall see what Christ does about this. Fixating on Vigano seems like a distraction to be honest, while Pope Francis makes declarations that at best are shock worthy.
Good for him Siri should of been Pope and would of read the third secret. V2 is a path to hell.
Please leave the late eminence alone. He is sick. He needs prayer, not illumination.
No. I will NOT ignore the many souls he is dragging with him out of the church. Absurd request.
By "late eminence" do you mean Vigano, or someone else? If someone else, who? If Vigano, he's neither "late" (he's not dead) nor is he an "Eminence" (that's a title for a Cardinal and he WAS merely an Archbishop, his title used to be-- though it is no longer-- "His Excellency", not "His Eminence").
re: You forgot the Eucharist
Good observation, thank you for bringing it up. Japanese Catholics did not have the Blessed Sacrament for well over 200 years.
Judging by what one sees in the Novus Ordo today, it is understandable that God would remove himself from the churches, no? In my local church of 5000+ Sunday attendees, the same 10 or so people were seen at confession every Saturday at 4- 5 pm confession. The other 5000 go to communion in a state of mortal sin and think nothing of it. Communion is handed to them by lay people into their hands, and they eat it like a cracker. Communion as seen today in the Novus Ordo is the greatest sacrilege! They are better off if God is not there, no?
You're judging. How do you know they aren't going to confession (not that in pre VII church you knew either)? It seems your.ecclisiology misses a lot. Your logic will make Anglican and Lutheran eucharists valid. Your theology is clearly protestant.
Also let us note that the original recieving of the Eucharist was on the hands.
And how do you know they havenât done Confession at another time at the parish, or that they attended somewhere else, or that they may not have need for Confession just yet. Either way, itâs pretty bold of you to âkeep tabsâ on peopleâs Confession habits when you are not privy to their hearts and lives. Perhaps those same 10 or so people actually have a scrupulosity problem which can also be bad for oneâs soul.
And if God is so âoffendedâ by the NO mass, then why do Eucharistic miracles take place during NO services? Why do some churches survive disasters and other issues that destroy surrounding buildings? Are you saying that people who take their First Communion at NO masses have actually not received the Body and Blood of Jesus even though the priest have been validly ordained and conducted mass correctly?
may not be baptised which means we may still have original sin
Anyone can validly baptize. They donât even need to be baptized themselves. They just need to intend to baptize when they do it.
Re: innocent people would be damned to hell if Novus Ordo ordained priests are not priests.
Not really, not one innocent person has ever gone to Hell, God does not work that way. For one, the sacrament of baptism can be administered by anyone. Secondly, the Sacrament of Penance - if a sinner with true contrition goes to confession with what he believes is a priest, his confession is like a perfect act of contrition (Scarcely anyone today even goes to confession). With regard to the Sacrament of Matrimony, in the case of a couple who get married in front of a false priest, the couple administer the sacrament to each other, the "priest" is just a witness. Those are all the sacraments necessary for salvation.
Now, what sacraments are eliminated if the priest is not a priest? One sacrament would be the Sacrament of Ordination, another would be the Sacrament of Confirmation, another the Sacrament of Extreme Unction (which was abolished by Paul VI in 1972, so it does not exist anymore, so nobody receives it anyways) and finally although not a sacrament, the consecration of Bishops would be lost, all of which are not necessary for salvation
The consecration of bishops is a sacrament. Vatican II confirms this and so does the tradition of the church.
@@ReasonandTheology - The status of the episcopacy as an order remains a disputed question in the Western Church. St. Thomas Aquinas denied that episcopal consecration confers a sacramental character since he did not see how a bishop could consecrate the eucharist any more intensively than a priest (IV Sent., D. 24, q. 2, a. 1, sol. 2; Summa contra Gentiles, l. IV. c. 74; Summa Theologiae, Suppl. 40.5). I go by pre-Vatican II tradition. Although, this is of no importance to the subject matter of salvation of the innocent.
Key words I know more. You know more that the Church, The Magistrium, and Cardinal Bishops.
You must be so wise that God gave you so much revelation that he wasmt willing to give to his own Church. I You might as well call yourself Peter's successor and not Pope Francis.
