This was a great ride. I’ve only been to Bush Gardens once and this was the best and most memorable ride I went on. I really do t understand why they got rid of it. Great memories!
There were no shortage of Motion Base Simulators in the theme park world by the time you guys produced this. Let that be a bigger compliment to you that this was the best of them all when I from Florida went on this. It fit the land so well and did everything perfectly. I hoped the return of it was true. Battle for Eire just does not resonate or work the same way nor does it have the theming and conceit. Thank you for this being so pure it even has the multi channels of audio.

I do wish I had had the chance to go on it when I was old enough to enjoy it, but Europe in the Air is my favorite ride in the park.
Stardust I don't see how Busch Gardens thought that Europe in the Air would be an acceptable substitute.. While they claim the photography is high quality, it sucks, and they don't get any worthwhile views on any of the places they show either. Then again, since Busch sold it to SeaWorld, everything has gone downhill.
This ride was fun. It was replaced with Europe in the Air after Anheuser sold the park, which was just a boring adver-ride for an Irish airline called Aer Lingus. Hopefully the new Battle for Eire will be a worthy succesor to Cork-Screw Hill.

I have a feeling that when Europe in the Air has worn out its welcome, Corkscrew Hill may be back. Let's hope so! I think they just switch things out to keep the rides from becoming monotonous

I just heard that Busch Gardens is finally putting in a new VR theater ride in the Ireland section called the Battle for Eire! And at one point when like the horse touches the water and the water splashes up you get a little wet or you feel like a mist or something. You also feel the wind from like riding on the horse. Or something. But it feels like a ride. I can't remember exactly everything because I went on it like 6 years ago or more.
They really should have kept this ride, just maybe updated the graphics...Just because they took it out, I decided to cancel my Busch Gardens vacation. =\

europe in the air HAD the potential...like if you were touring europe in a fighter jet. but the way the have it now the turns are executed horribly and the take-off/landing is just as bad. sometimes I wonder if they just used corkscrew hill motions and tried to match it to that as best as possible

Why would they replace this? SOARIN is can't live up to Corkscrew Hill. If you replace a ride that everyone loves, you better replace it with something even better. Instead you give us a ride designed for seniors.
I loved this ride. (The horseback and freefall were the best) You needed to actually be on it to feel how real it was since it was presented in 4D. Too bad they had to replace it. At least we can all pretend we're on it while watching this. Great quality video btw.
I haven't been to Williamsburg in 11 years but I rode Corkscrew Hill over and over. Sad to see its been gone a long time now that I'm finally heading back there.
So, this kinda happened. Europe in the Air has indeed been replaced, but not by a returning Corkscrew Hill. The new ride is Battle for Eire, and it has a completely different story. One that, frankly, isn't nearly as good in my opinion. It goes for that childish magical fantasy land of Ireland rather than the dark twisted tale that was not only more faithful to Irish folklore but also gave Corkscrew Hill so much unique character. Still, it's better than that crap that sat between them.
Is anyone else interested in making or signing a petition to bring this ride back? From what I've heard and experienced, it's just a rip off of Soarin' over California...
I remember when I was little I was afraid of this ride even though I rode it before. I was afraid of shaking, but now I'm completly different. I wish the Europe In the Sky was gone and Corkscrew came back. My mom got a headache in Europe In the Sky, and my dad got nauseous. I think we all know which one is better :)
Well, they had to take down the big bad wolf because they couldn't afford the parts they needed everyday/week. The company that had supplied them went out of business and they couldn't get anymore parts.
sucks...was born 100% irish in the us... grew up and while doing so, Busch gardens taught me cool things/lessons from where I come from..now it's the Disney ride rip off and elmo...and Riverdancing (for now) sucks they were bought out, new owners are morons

No, Dark Castle is in a different part of Busch Gardens. They replaced this with a horrible ride called Europe in the Air. So stupid.
