- At the end of the song Hammer To Fall Freddie Injured his leg and he was carried off stage...this is the photo and the audio from that concert..You can hear the audience chanting Freddie ,Freddie at the end.

The only time they cancelled a concert during the show was Sun City 10/7/1984. Apparently Freddie started spitting out blood and his voice gave. They cancelled the show on the 4th song, Somebody To Love.
Yeah after they Carried him in the backstage he said "I can't just leave without ending the show. Without giving them what they came for" so he sang and played Bohemian Rhapsody We will Rock you and We Are the champions sitting at his piano. He did it for us for his fans! Such a brave strong man!

This incident, the throat infection he had during the Live Aid performance, and singing right untill he couldn't anymore just proves what a legend Freddie was and is. Always wanting to give the audience more. What a performer!!

I was there in front of Freddie’s piano and he felt very uncomfortable sitting there during the opera section of Bohemian Rhapsody. I’ve seen six concerts in there good old days and I will never forget about that. This was the last time I saw Queen on stage…really great memories. Happy birthday Freddie…where ever you are

Before the concert Freddie already had a bad right knee ligament from horse-playing (he had a cast on for weeks and just took it off before “It’s a hard life” MV, so you can see the last moment when he sat down on the stairs in the MV, can tell he couldn’t put weight on his right knee). He just “recovered” a little from that, then in this tour apparently the stage design was really complicated with loads of stairs so Freddie fell down one of the stairs. He felt it was really really bad at that moment with his right knee, but delayed his hospital trip with 3 more songs he could perform on the piano, including “we are the champions” and 2 more. Then he was taken immediately to the hospital for an X-Ray. It turned out to be less serious than he thought, so they bandaged him up, he got a personal physiotherapist flown over to accompany him on the tour, and he continued touring while being heavily bandaged💕 he would get a physiotherapy session before each concert

Dear people, this was 1984. There were no cell phone cameras, no digital cameras back then. And most venues would not allow you to bring regular cameras in so let's just say we are lucky that somehow there was an audio recording of this.
i sort of like it. I remember going to the Queen Concert in Cleveland. I got lucky to see and be around alot of concerts back then. Brother was a roadie. We had the best memories, no cameras or phones, but we lived it for real
This 3 years old but I still want to mention that there is audio of the majority of Queen concerts nowadays.

The fans thought he was just on the floor because it was the end of the song and they didn’t know he was hurt until the bodyguards had to go help him.

I couldn't speak or move for a minute because of the shock I fell into. It happened to me twice with the same ankle. Huge pain!

I was there, will not forget it. It shortened the whole show and a guy next to me was a little disappointed because they didn't do I want to break free and Radio Gaga, anymore, which were their current hits at the time. I even saw Klaus Meine und Rudolf Schenker from Scorpions, afterwards, when the hall was almost empty and I came back from a last wee before hitting the road.
I hoped he recovered quickly and got some rest.
He was on stage two days later (in Berlin) and according to sources, his leg would be bandaged for the rest of the European tour. From here onward the band would bring a physiotherapist on tour.

My favorite Norwegian singer actually hurt his knee during his Queen tribute show in Norway. He was going to run back on to the stage from the audience and tripped on something in the dark. This was actually during Don't Stop Me Now. They had to cancel the rest of the show that evening BUT they CONTINUED the rest of the concert tour. He had a surgery on his knee later that year.

A while ago, I don't remember which website, I read a testimony about this concert, Freddie falls because while going down those stairs he sprains his ankle on one and falls with all his weight on his ankle. He was left lying on the floor for 30 seconds when the assistants went to lift him up to take him to the piano, meanwhile people encouraged him to continue, in the operatic part of BohRhap he looks at the people with a sad face (since They normally go backstage) and in WWRY he accompanies playing the piano as in the studio version.
