    If only we were taught about manners as kids. But then again, never too late. Quality content :)

    Loved every point you made! It also helped me to understand all the subtle things that I appreciate in a good partner, and how I can become a better dance partner. Love all your videos, clear, concise. Thanks from Canada!

    This is such a great video! I love how you explained everything- this etiquette makes the experience so much more enjoyable, especially when it can be intimidating to dance with a stranger. It also makes me appreciative of the thoughtfulness of a good partner. Glad you mentioned the little hug at the end being normal in Holland, but it does not seem very American though.

    You might include 3 other rules of etiquette that one would think would be common sense, but unfortunately in practice, on the dance floor, common sense often takes a holiday. 1) Always respect the space of the other couples dancing near you; 2) If the dance floor is full, stay on the side and wait until the next song to dance; and 3) If the dance floor is full, don't do any extravagant turn patterns, keep it simple, dance within the metro cuadrado. Thank you.

    Súper goede tips! Het klinkt zo voor de hand liggend, maar kan me voorstellen dat dat niet het geval is in de praktijk. Wederom dankjewel!

    De meeste mensen (ik ook) geven een high five met 2 handen of een knuffel, zeggen bedankt en lopen weg. Als ik iemand ken of het was een heel leuke dans dan maken we een kort praatje of geef ik een compliment, misschien spreken we af om later nog een keer te dansen. Iemand terugbrengen naar de rand van de dansvloer is volgens mij niet de norm (of ik ben zonder dat ik het weet vet onbeleefd haha).

      The high fives are indeed most common at the most places i'm going. or awkward silences when a dance goes a bit wrong. 😂 I also don't feel like the followers want to be lead back to their spots, but maybe an age or culture thing.

    So I have eye contact with her. But what does the “contract” in the video title mean?

    • @salsaventura
      @salsaventura  Před 5 lety +3

      We call it 'contract' since we have a sort of agreement with eachother that makes Salsa dancing works all around the world, indepedent of place or partner.

    Talking too much

    • @bugsburny

      What he says is pure gold for any dancer and I regret too many dancers do not realise they make people uncomfortable because they do not know these simple principles.
      See these videos as complementary media on top of your classes if your salsa teacher is average.
