NEW GLC 63S better than a C63??! + Update on New GLC 43!!

- The Fastest SUV in the World!! (On the ring!) The Facelift of one of the most BRUTAL AMG models, the new GLC63S!!
Last time I reviewed the GLC63S coupé, we found it to be an al weather C63 on stilts, sports car performance in an SUV and a true game changer: but there were some areas to improve.
Because the last GLC came so late in the C Class’s life, it was left as the poor cousin without the facelift digital screens and a dated interior. NOW it’s jumped ahead of the C Class, with MBUX, touchpad, digital screens and a more varied exterior design.
And to start let’s talk about the exterior updates, especially the new front end and somewhat controversial rear lights!! That wider grille and softer front nose.
I’ll also show you the standard version in the GLC 300d. And even compare the look of the pre facelift and the coupe vs the SUV. Coupé looks better still to my eyes but I’m obsessed with coupes, I think it’s the best looking SUV four in the world, especially compared to that new X4M.
In terms of the AMGs all models come with electronic slippy diff now, and while power is the same 510BHP, the car has been updated with the C63/GT63 AMG Dynamics software to better vary the handling based on driving mode: we will explore this on the road.
The changes have allowed this car to retake the Nürburgring record away from Stelvio Quadrifoglio, making this the fastest SUV on the ring in the world!!
Now when this came out we were all expecting the updated GLC43 too, and loads of you asked me on Instagram too as we’d love to have one on the channel. And I have an update on this model for you too!!

@@trxntroll843 For real. The US is the biggest market of any AMG product, as such it's why I won't own one. The coupe looks great but just doesn't sit well with me as it kind of looks too much like an egg. The Cayenne coupe is better executed visually.
Is the absence of pops and bangs issue on the production C63s that you mentioned evident in a lot of C63s in North America or just UK?
Truth
the constant change between the design of the car for easy comparison is the best thing about this channel, sets it apart from the other channels by a country mile. Keep it up.

That’s what I thought until the final price was 2x the monthly payments as my C63S Coupé due to the MSRP being $20k higher and the finance rate being higher. Go figure.
I'm now waiting for the new A45s, GLE63s and GLS63...... or maybe the new AMG 73 series :D.

Hi, I’m planning to order a C63s next spring. You mentioned in this video that the yellow accent interior is not available in the UK. Given your connections to AMG, do you think it could be possible to order that spec in a right hand drive car from a German dealership? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Kushisaaan the GLC63s is a better vehicle
maybe don't worry about the lack of crackles and pops on your brand new c63s - i bought an e53 coupe a few months back it only cracked on upshifts whilst the car i test drove pops and crackles on downshifts and lift off nicely. Suddenly as the car passed 2000 miles the bangs crackles and popps appeared on upshift downshift and lift off pretty much every time especially if between 3500-4500 revs. So it may be something that changes as the car is worn in, that been my very pleasing experience!

Looks dont matter when the car has issues after 100k miles and 90% of value of the car is gone after 9 years.
Gotta ask GLC43 or X3M? I know hp wise there is a big difference but driving wise? (we dont get 63 in Mexico)

Great vid...just don't agree on X4 being hideous. Admittedly I did not like how the X4 looks in pics, but once I saw it in the flesh I found it to be quite a good looking vehicle. Looks will always be subjective topic though 😎.

Why does seat comfort have to be on the screen anyways? What’s wrong with buttons on the seat that you can adjust without even looking into multiple menus.

The old body style of the GLC63s looks better and more aggressive from side view. The new body shape is more luxury and more of a cruiser.

I'd buy this over a C63 any day. It's perfect for a three car garage. I currently have a 2014 SQ5 I bought certified. As soon as the face-lifted GLC63 becomes certified I'll buy it used.

I love the fact that this performance suv review spent 0 seconds talking about the suv practicalities of load/family luggage. You buy this car because it is a better performer than a C63, practicality is a bonus.

Yes, pushes the rpms during start up to about 3000 instead of 2000 and opens the exhaust valves. Picked up my C63s Coupe last week here in Germany and it’s also written in the manual.
Btw you can also use the left pedal. For convenience reasons 😎

Does anyone oddly prefer the pre facelift version? Maybe the think just needs more aggressive black wheels. To make those red calipers pop. Looks a little too refined for what is essentially a c class amg. Still like it a lot tho.

Please make some updates on the sound issue of your C63S! I plan to purchase the car but if the exhaust note diffs far from review unit then would need to think more about it.
You get more pops and crackles after you have like 1500-2000km

I know what you mean about the new C63s exhaust. I just got the face lift 2019 model, trading in my 2017 model.
I’m not sure how many kms you have on you’re new one, but I now have about 2500 kms on mine and it’s starting to sound so much better than when I was first running it in. It seems to get more louder and more cracks and pops the more I drive it.
I was really concerned at first when I got it and a little disappointed. But I’m hoping it continues on this path and opens up even more!
So it pops on The downshifts now?
@@fitnesslifestyle912 Yes its better now. But the main change is on the upshifts at low speeds. I now have about 4000 km in it and it is sounding so much better. I took it to AMG for the 3000km diff oil change and told them about it. My gearbox was starting to downshift very rough and abruptly as well, so they checked it and told me there was a software update which they completed for me. Gearbox is much better and in my opinion now sounds better than my 2017 model. I can now make it pop on the upshifts at low speeds like my old one. You have to time it correctly though, take your foot of the gas briefly, then upshift and it will do it, same as 2017 model. Im really happy now. You have to give them a chance to run in i think.
