A quick video on the basics of fixing your tail light fuse. Check this first before spending a bunch of money! Lemme know what you think :) ! worldofweb
you saved me today, my tail lights have been out on my 93 jeep for 6 months, i watched ur video and replaced my 15 amp fuse, will be nice not getting pulled over lol thank you so much!
This same exact problem happened to me on my jeep cab lights dash and running wouldn't come on and it was the exact fuse you showed. You saved me hours of work. Luckily I had a spare 15A fuse Lying around. Couldn't be happier!
Wow. Thank you for this video, very good explanation. Learned a lot and solved my problem after having to buy new tail lights and break lights just to find out it was the fuse.
I think u just saved me a few hundred bucks. Took my car to goodyear and it came back with no dash lights. Plus, just noticed two days ago, the tail lights were out too. I think they were trying to rip me off. They told me they would need a few days to find the problem because electrical work is tricky. I even asked the guy "could it be something in the fuse box, since you guys were supposed to try to fix my hazard lights (and didnt)". I bet they would have tried to charge me a grand or so for a three dollar fuse, smh. Thank for making the video!
I’ve a 1996 Silverado with a 4.3 and it keeps blowing my signal light fuse, the fuse is a 20a, I thought about placing a 25a in But you said not to raise the amperage, could you assist me?
I have a 2011 Honda Pilot, my tail lights are out. My brake lights work fine. I change the fuse from the box under the steering wheel. What should I do next.
On my 1960 Airstream I have the passenger side tail light not working. I put new fuses in my vehicle. Keeps blowing the fuses. I could use some help. Thanks, Jesse
Howdy Arelene! The cover of your fuse panel should show you which slot corresponds with which electrical component and it should have the Amp on there also. If not, just google your car's make and model and then fuse panel. It should look like the picture I have at 2:02 . Props for being a DIY mechanic 😊!
Can someone give me some advise... pleaaaaase!!! I have a Prius 2011 and I am having a little problem with my rear lights... - the turn sign indicator lights work fine, both tuning left or right... - the break lights work fine... - the reverse lights work fine as well... The only light that doesn’t work is the “ tail light”... any suggestions of what could be the problem? Tks anyone in advance for any advice. 👍🤙
Hmmm, If you bought a brand new fuse then check the contacts in the fuse box itself to make sure there's no corrosion. Wiggle the fuse and see what happens (Pa Pa's remedy)! HA! Rule out the fuse box first.
Same here! I tested all the blue 15amp fuses, replacing each one with a spare, but fuses appear to be good. Maybe a wiring issue. Did you fix the problem?
Blinking? The fuse itself? That's a new one. I've never come across that before. Are your tail lights working? It could be an indicator that the fuse is going bad. You may need to check the polarity and the wire connections.
@@CWEBSWORLD IKR I decided to install a hitch on my '11 equinox recently and I got to thread chase the holes to get the hardware installed shame on gm no forethought just engineers wanting money 🙃
@@CWEBSWORLD sorry unfortunately I had to do it in parts because it was so rusty in the holes I had to soak it with pb blaster a couple days then with a power brush harbor freight sells rim out the holes then try running in the bolts finally got frustrated and popped the bumper off and with a flex and a nut driver the size of my m12x1.75 tap rammed it in. Sprayed again then coated bolts with antiseize lube. Oh, and almost forgot you will need a swivel to access the top holes on the side of the frame or just s angle grinder and cut it 🤔 uh, probably not. 😄 Would like to add that while the hitch is rated the frame could be rotten so that drops the tw as well also if you look into it gm has a hole you can pop out and install a 4pin plug you have to remove the spare and pad then under the side panel driver's is a connector that plugs in plug and play no t-tappings on wires or drilling ground holes as seen on the u-haul video seen on CZcams. Hope this helps FYI that plug is gray and is fastened with a plastic keeper need long screwdriver needle nose pliers something to retrieve it.
+Michael Edwards check your ground wires. Usually, a bad ground connection causes bad mojo. keep in mind if a fuse blows that is a good indicator something shorted inline. a handy volt meter will also be useful to determine if you're getting any power/voltage to the sockets 12v is the typical circuit voltage. You can test fuses and socket wiring to at least trace back were power is or isn't.
It is just a fuse, do not disconnect your battery, thiat was dumb, it would have said that in the service manual you did not need. You know your owners manual that comes with ever car could tell you that info
Hey Atomic Friend (love that name!) I think you're referring to the music video ya? Thanks for pointing that out. Didn't even notice it wasn't there. It should be there now or you can go here czcams.com/video/SuWguKtcooA/video.html . Thanks for watching 😁!
+Peter D'Avignon I know, but I have a highly irrational fear of being electrocuted while doing mechanic work. Sometimes I take the battery out completely! ('~')!
take off those red and green battery marker that are on your battery because they hold water and cause your battery lose their power. they are no good ... i should know .. i took my off have losing to battery..

Thanks! I'm so happy it was clear :)

Thanks for the tip and you have a sweet voice!!
Thanks so much 😌
Thank you!!! Very helpful.
great video. much respect
On my 1998 Lincoln Town car-I have headlights and brake lights, but no tail lights. Have checked the fuses-good. What else could cause the problem?
