- During the SCC500 Rolling50 1000 I have filmed this 980HP Volkswagen Golf V R32 Turbo 4Motion with Garrett GTX42 Turbo. It is tuned by DPA Performance and it has now a best Vmax of 316,44 km/h after 1000 meters (with rolling 50 km/h start). The video shows you some drag racing against a Toyota Supra, Mercedes-AMG E63s and BMW M5 F10. I hope you enjoy the video.

R32 has 600cc of extra displacement. It would win in track and drag, but when you get into cost the rb26 is much cheaper reliable power than the vr6 is
Please dont hate on me too much for this. I just purchased an 03 gl beetle, very well maintained, garage kept, one owner, it's never been wrecked and was in amazing condition. The car was stock when I got it, I've had it for 3 weeks now and I'm almost done with my stage one build. It has a true straight pipe exhaust, custom made a new turbo piping setup, new enclosed intake custom made, egr deleted now, giant front mount custom intercooler is almost done, along with new plugs, wire/boot, glo plug relay, ecs stage 1 clutch, dorman slave cylinder/ master cylinder, boost controller, new OEM fuel pump and injectors that have been modified, and a few exterior things along with a few interior changes. Oh and a VR spindle/ brake upgrade. Buuuut the crazy part is, it's a diesel. The 1.9 TDI....shooting for 150+hp and 300 pound feet of torque. Wish everyone else the best of luck on their builds, hope mine goes well.

I'm pretty sure they were starting from a roll at 50, not from a stop like a normal drag race. Look at the plate on the back of the VW after the first run.

Nein, der Golf 5 R32 ist n kleinen Ticken schneller als der a3 3.2er. Motor und Getriebe sind 1:1 identisch, aber der Audi ist einfach schwerer, weil er einfach der luxuriösere von den beiden ist
