Sam what do you use against catch hedge? The dribble move only really helps against the on ball defender and then you run into the secondary defender.

Great video, Sam. Killing it as always. Wish there was a way to disable automatically passing the ball after a few seconds when holding down triangle or x for off-ball cuts. I'll control the off-ball player for a few seconds, and then the time will run out and the ball handler will pass the ball into traffic before the cutter has had time to get to his spot. Drives me crazy.
I will release a tutorial soon on how to become off ball cutter for as long as you want lol Slightly complicated but is pretty cool lol
Seems like a good play for small off ball slashers, likely even more effective with a big who can shoot

why when i press lb it just comes up with the buttons on each of my teammates and not the pick and roll thing? do i need a playbook or something or a different setting idk how to set a pick and roll(in my team)

Ive found that if u have a fast PG and u keep the ball a few times on a P'n'R they will adjust with a hard hedge. A PG like Westbrook the AI usually hedges aggressively

Quick question Pham, when running RC control it only lasts for a couple of seconds right or am I doing something wrong. If I elect to run around to get a open look it switches to another player?
Yes it has a window of about 3.5-4 seconds I think

If u set ur settings to stay attached and tag on roll u can stop the RC slip pretty easily. But most people dont know how to use their settings

Has 2k patched this already? I've been trying it in scrimmage and haven't been able to replicate it. You said it only works if the other team is on hard hedge right? The center doesn't leave my roll man at all. He just stays attached.
I've played 2k for many years and have followed all your advice. Normally I can run pick and roll so easily. This year it seems difficult because every time I run a pick and roll, half the time I get picked off and it results in a turnover. Seems like the AI pick and roll defense got better because I'm not getting those easy pick and rolls anymore.
So aside from the RC slip you've shown, what are the best ways to play pick and roll if they're just playing automatic defense?

Mine's showing a ball under a player when I press the screen button
Looks nice and works perfect but only on pro. On all-star it doesn't work, cpu either steals the ball or blocks the dunks/layups and you succeed only ~50% of the time and with cpu shooting contested shots at ~80% it's no good.
+kushlius that's on you bro :) is about execution and practice. I can score 15 pts with John wall on HOF in a qtr with Katana. I scored like 10 with Aaron Baynes on HOF in 8 minutes or something with RC slip. I am not knocking you I am telling you not to give up on these techniques and keep working on them.
As for your defensive issues you might want to watch my new settings vid. The katana is one of the most powerful techniques on 2K since 2K16 trust me is you doing it too slow and miss the details. Keep working at it and you will find more success :)
I don't know maybe that's because my players suck and i need better ones. Cpu often just steals/blocks me out of nowhere, but yeah maybe i need more practice. Don't get me wrong i'm bashing your video, it's awesome keep it up.
Regarding defense it's ridiculous. I watched your other video and it works. But the cpu team shoots at the final seconds while contested and they still make the shots.

has anyone tried this in Domination? The cpu in domination IQ is on steroids. After the second attempt they just completely shut it down
This is a secondary strategy, i suggest you perfect my tutorials from #1-4 first. This is #5 rmb, that means you go to this when THOSE doing work. This can be a primary strategy but not when you are first trying it and haven't perfected the movements.

you are not using the correct controller settings that's why. You have to change icon passing to receiver control. What you are experiencing is a hand off / picth pass with circle button. To user control a player to have tap R1 and hold down player icon

You are the most complicated one to explain the RC slip. From the first video about money play you tell us to go video tutorial number#5, and then i don't get clear as crystal explanation about, instead you told us to the video number#4. Please sam pham, just to the point.
