  • On June 21, Hilary German will ride for mental health for all in Canadian Mental Health Association's national Ride Don’t Hide event in Calgary. Ride Don't Hide is a community bike ride to raise awareness and funds for mental health programs and services.
    Hilary joined the Ride in memory of her brother Will German, who was diagnosed with Schizoaffective Disorder at the age of 19. The mental disorder would dramatically change his and the German family's life. Hilary and her family watched Will spend the last years of his life in and out of the hospital in search of the right medication that would help him manage the severe and traumatic symptoms of his illness. Will battled the illness for seven years before he died in In 2011 at the age of 26.

    Ride Don’t Hide is a community bike ride hosted by the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), with the goal to raise awareness and help break the stigma surrounding mental health while raising essential funds to support mental health programs and services.
