I have an Uncle who was a Missionary in Papua New Guinea.. I remember seeing photos of all the places he travelled to, but I believe it was only ground travel.. not by Air ! He now lives in Brisbane.. Great Videos Bud !
If you like the water to water strips you should go to Shelter Cover in California, 0Q5. We made a family trip up there once and AOPA mag had it on its cover in late 90/2000 timeframe. No problem getting the Cessna 340A in and out.

Reminds me of a strip I landed at well south of Marko Island on the Gulf coast of Florida (now closed) - came in the very late afternoon - just before twilight. Spectacularly beautiful and remote - but after about 15 minutes on the ground, mosquitoes the size of hummingbirds appeared in vast numbers - we ran for the plane, did a quick pre-flight checklist, and as we were on the takeoff roll, the accident report appeared in my head “Pilot lost directional control on takeoff while squashing bugs against the windscreen” - so I stopped that and flew the plane - let my px get eaten :-)

I've noticed that you are flying quite "low" and I understand the reasons. But I was wondering if there would be any consideration to fly higher to mitigate problems in case of engine failure. I'm not a pilot, but just doing some flight sim once in a while. But even in flight sim, I would be "scared" to limit my options by flying low in case of an engine failure in such terrain. So I was just curious what are you considerations and planning regarding the choice of altitude. Again thank you very much for all the great videos. I'm really a fan !
Oh, so sorry to disappoint you, but I know and have been to, an even better beach airport. You actually land on the beach and is the only scheduled beach landing in the world. It is Barra Airport in the Outer Hebrides off the west coast of Scotland.
I’ve flown into barra twice. Once with my friend and once with my dad. Can confirm it’s the most incredible landing experience you’ll ever have. I took a PA28 there

I was on a commercial flight last week and they loaded the majority of the fuel into the wrong side. Took about 45 minutes to transfer fuel to re-balance.

Ryan, I know this question has nothing to do with aviation, but how long did it take you to adjust to Celsius coming from America? Do you have to convert it back to Fahrenheit in your head or do you just know it at this point?

Barra in the Scottish Hebrides is the only actual beach airport, the twin otter aircraft land on the sand, tidal of course so timetable varies

ugh. This is what I wanted to do, in (almost) the plane I wanted to do it in. I like the family model, the 208 GC.
One should also consider Molokai's Kalaupapa airport for this honor. Same surroundings . . .
