I appreciate your commentary about gratefulness, I feel like so many people get caught up in buying new plants they forget about their current ones. As for my wishlist plants, I’m gonna have to go with Hoya brevialata, hoya silver lady dy, and philodendron dark lord. I doubt I’ll be able to find them within my price range but I can dream 😂
🙏 💖 thank you, so true! focusing on gratitude is so important. I hope youre able to find some of your wishlist plants!
so true. I'm a newbie to plants and as I started online plants and swaps, I've been too much into it and was only looking forward to receive new plants packages. I had to stop because of travel and other reasons and then it was hard to control myself once I'm back home, first few days were hard. and finally managed to not order any new plants for past two months and instead have been focusing more on plants I already have, soil and compost.
This video really made me take a long at my collection and feel grateful , admire their beauty!! I do feel like we get caught up on high of bidding and buying that we aren’t even sure what the plant looks like lol!!
Yessss 💯 exactly lol!
I like all your wishlist plants 🌿💜🌱 your hair has grown so much and your makeup looks simple and pretty. I like that color of lipstick 💄 on you!
I'm doing a no buy for 2024! I want to save more money for the best cause. I spent thousands on plants and plant supplies this year; only for all my plants to rot on me.😢 I'm not giving up on plants, but I want to learn more about how to care for the plants that survived before I buy more. It doesn't help that I'm an underwater...
I'm real new to the plant world 🌍🌿 so I have to be able to water the one's I have first. I'll learn eventually.... there's so many plant channels to help me through my plant journey. ❤😊🌱
Thank you so much for watching ☺️ a no buy is such a good idea, i loved the year that I did that! I hope it goes well for you and I hope you have more success with growing plants in the future. I can totally relate because I struggle to keep up with watering too!
I have a Frosted Heart and love it. They grow very steady, but not to fast so they don't get leggy like most syngonium. They are exactly like they are on social media. I also got both a Jose Buono and Monstera Albo from Plant Haven Toronto and both are highly variegated and beautiful plants. Both were for a good price, the Buono around $50 and the Albo about $150. Both doing well and worth the money.
Oh I was eyeing their Jose Buono's 🥹 so amazing that it's highly variegated! And great to know your thoughts on the Frosted Heart, I need her hehe 💚
I’d love to see a planning video. Something like how you walk about determining what needs to be done with each plant, how you prioritize, material planning, etc. I love this aspect of the end of year, too! ❤
I really love this idea too! 💡 ❤
You did an incredible job decorating your tree fern 💯👍🙂👋😎
Thank you Jason!! 🎄
Your background with the Christmas tree is so pretty! Yes, I love string of pearls. So pretty 💚 would love to get into orchids if I can keep them alive and more agalonema. ✨🌿 Great to see you and your fur babies. Cadence is so cute 🐾🐶
awe thank you so much 🥺🎄 I really appreciate you watching and your kind words x
I think you may have mentioned in a previous video shopping there before, but Wilderly is a store in Edmonton that also sells online and she has had a lot of different terrarium begonia’s lately! Also just noticed she has Syngonium Frosted Heart!
I’ve been eyeing that Syngonium since the summer! Just pricey for $50 + shipping and I’ve never ordered from them before so I’m not familiar with the quality 👀 but I might treat myself next year if they still have it!
That's fair! I've purchased from them before and have been really happy with my plants but I lived in Edmonton at the time so I don't know about the shipping. Hopefully you will find one for a better deal! 😊
Cute pot you’ve got your variegated string of pearls in.
Thank you! I love it 🥰
I would love to see a plant tour for 2023. I know you’ve felt a bit meh about your collection, but I’d still love to see it!
The tree 👏🏽 the hair 👏🏽 the lipstick 👏🏽
Awww thank you!
WOW. The hoya sulawesiana is just crazy. Love that poofy pink bloom
Steve's Leaves has the frosted heart ❤
That's amazing for my American friends 🫶
Wilderly in Edmonton Alberta has frosted hearts. Sometimes they don’t have everything on the website but if you message them they can let you know. The frosted hearts were a good price when I was there last week although you’d have to ship it to you. Hopefully you find one soon 😊
Omigosh!! Is that a Weimaraner lying on your sofa??😂. We got our first one when I was 13. That has been 70 (yes, seventy) years ago. In all those years my family and I, as an adult, have owned close to 30 Weims. I have 2 now!! Yours certainly looks like my Sadie!! Such a surprise seeing yours in your video!!😅❤️🐾🐾👍👏
Awww yes haha she is my boyfriends dog :) she is 12.5 years old!
Love how your tree is decorated.
Thank you 🥺💚
15:39 oh my, I love my watsoniana! It's the prettiest deep green.
Steve’s leaves always has a massive begonia and Hoya collection for sale 🖤
Loving the Christmas cozy vibes! My wishlist plant is inner variegated hoya polyneura. Patiently waiting for it to become more common and prices to decrease. Maybe in 2-3 years, lol 😅😅
Ooo yesss those are so pretty!
“Wishlist plants, baabbyyy”

😂Send help!… I’m right there with you! 😂I have a problem and I’m not mad 🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴adore you and your collection 💕great vlog!✨💕☺️
hahah thank you for watching 💚☺️🌿🫶
Hi ! I'm French and I love watching your planty videos, so thank you. I find way more info and quality than in the French videos ! Have a great day :)
Awe thank you so much for watching :)
Most of the plants you listed, especially with pink variegation, are available at the plant store I buy most of my plants. Rare Plant Fairy in Detroit, MI and I’m almost sure they ship to Canada… and they also have the biggest supply of Monsteras I’ve seen. It’s where I bought my first Albo.
I like Begonias 🌼 there are a lot of cool one's 👍🌵 I hope you find all your wishlist plants for 2024 for a good price😊
Thank you so much 😊
I think all I really want next year are some cool anthuriums and I still want a Whipple Way.
Hoya undulata is on my wishlist too and so is the caudata gold! Def check out! It’s also very dumpstery.
As far as monstera, I recently discovered two new variegated patterns of Thai constellation. Look up the thai con tricolor and the thai con Cassiopeia.! You won’t be disappointed! ❤
id love to see another goal video! Your planty goals for specific plants and planty things in general
Fern!! Okay so a couple things
1. I messaged you on instagram with the name of a Canadian seller I got my maranta silver band from!! They have some at great prices!!
2. The patriciae bug is REAL. This plant is my white whale. I've killed (or turned into stumps) like 4 or 5 and I NEED another still!! I hope you do much better with them than I have!! I'm trying to hold out for a tropicals plant or ecuagenera show as they have good sized ones for about $30
I killed my first Patriciae import. I bought a small tent and #2 is rooting & growing! We’re 2 1/2 months in, so I think she’s going to make it!
Thank you!! And oh nooo I didn't know they could be difficult 😩
Video idea: going around your plant collection and telling us what new things in 2023 you learned about your plants. This one likes more sun or I learned this one transfers to new locations easily. Etc
anthurium carlablackiae is like the only thing on my wishlist at this point i think! i have other things i would like to try growing but im not sure there is anything else i am actively looking for. i would also love an Alocasia black velvet pink variegated but refuse to pay the prices they are right now so I'm not sure i necessarily count it lol. im trying to not spend more than $100 on any plant this next year so we'll see if i can stick to that goal. i tried to do that this year but i treated myself to a monstera aurea and variegated dragon scale. no regrets though!!
that's a really great goal! I should try to do that too 👀 and yeah the carla is stunning!
Definitely added some to my 2024 wish list
It's so DREAMY 💞
The jose buono is such an easy going plant 💚 Mine is not even on a pole, but it sized up so nicely! The variegation is genetic though, so kinda like with the florida ghost and paraiso verde, the variegation only depends on surrounding conditions like light, temperature, and as I've also heard, fertilizer. (You probably know this by now, but I thought others may not, and also for the algorithm 😇)
So happy you already got your hands on the maranta silver band!
Id love to see a planning vid or your goal review/new goals vid. Also what do you have on your lips, the color looks great on you!
what about a spotify wrapped but plants video? Like looking back at you channel, how many und which plants you go.. favourite plant genus (?) and favourite plants.. and so on.
would be so cool and you can get very creative with it!
Love the mix of your wishlist for 2024 😃 I’ve got my chlorosticta growing out in just normal room conditions with no more than 50% humidity and most of the time less and it’s perfectly happy 😃
Oh that makes me want it even more! Haha 😊
Variegated Alocasia are to live for ❤❤❤
they're just so incredible 🥹
love love love this vid! i would definitely be interested in a video of you scrolling through that IG wishlist bookmark 👀
You look stunning 😊. I enjoy your videos so much. Love looking at all your plants.
you're so kind - thank you
💚💚💚a few days ago I ordered a little 2.5” pot of shepherdii and yours was my inspiration 🩷🩷🩷
🌱I’m so sooo excited 😜
Hi Fern! I would like to see what your are cooking for Christmas. Thank you. You are wonderful. XX
My #1 wishlist plant is var billie!!!!
ooo yasss!
I wish you lived nearby, so I could just give you a cutting of my gorgeous monstera albo and my really pretty Jose buono as well. I love them both so much. Thanks for all your CZcams content Fern, I really love it. 🌱
Awww I so wish that too haha! Thank you for watching 🥰
Omg, have so many cuttings of Syngonium frost, I wish you were in the US because I would send you a full-grown pot of it. My mother plant is about 3 ft tall, and is still putting out new growth under LED light, off the pole, and I live in Ohio, not someplace tropical. I will admit that it is slow to root in water, but it doesn't rot, at least not for me. Once it sends out roots, it is easy to grow, and doesn't crisp up if you under-water, so beautiful, an outstanding plant. I can understand your attraction to it. While watching this video, out of curiosity, I turned on the transcript feature, and it is hilarious; Monstera elbow and Monstera at inoni! If you don't know the names, its gotta be difficult!
Happy New Year Fern🎉❤ Love You Honey
Hoya Sulawesiana is at the top of my 2024 wishlist! I've only seen them out of my price range so far, but I'm really hoping to find an affordable one soon. Hope you can get one too, I'd love to see you feature it in a video!
They’re sooo neat! I hope we both get one next year 😊
Im fairly new to houseplants (almost 1 year in) its pretty long but my wishlist for next year and maybe the year after that would be a Monstera Thai Constellation ofc, Monstera Adansonii Mint, Monstera Mint, Monstera Albo as well, Hoya sunrise, Hoya Pubicalyx splash, Philodendron Ring of Fire, stag horn fern, Phalaenopsis orchid, tillandsia’s specifically with some color to it, a few variegated African violet varieties and a variegated Peace Lily sensation or any other variegated Peace Lily aside from the domino😮💨 and more😬😂
Wonderful wishlist! I'd also like to get some more tillandsia's 👀 and I'm super curious about Monstera mint.
Just an idea for the corm!! Seeds/bulbs grow underneath the ground so maybe try putting it in a dark spot to mimic the darkness they’d normally see. Maybe a grow light is inhibiting it from sprouting.
Dude once you go through the pink plant/punk things phase, you never go back 💖
Those pink fuzzy, feathery blooms are stunning
I have found that corms sprout really well in the dark! Makes sense because they develop underground usually….
My wish list plants are: Philodendron Florida Bronze, Philodendron Whipple Way, Alocasia Mickey Mouse, and Microsorum Thialandcum.
Wildly in Edmonton Alberta has frosted hearts for sale. They do ship to BC 😊 hopefully you find one soon
Lmao “send help” I cannot relate more. My goal for this morning is to condense my collection and I’m also like ooooh lemme watch a wishlist vid 😅
LMAO the struggle is real 😭
I hope to be able to get all these plants in the new year and take good care of them if possible😍
I love crusty dusty, been looking for one also 🤩
haha they're the best 🤩
Hell yeah 🙌
Friday night Fern 💙💙🐿️☃️🫶🏼❄️💙💙
🙌🙌
This was a pretty nice video. Very interesting. Can’t wait for the unboxing.
Thank you and really glad you enjoyed!!
I got a 2 leaf undulata for $30 locally threw her into pon to root \ grow in and she's already giving me new leaves
Oh crap and I keep wanting to comment how much I looove your dog voice, makes me smile so much 🫶🏼🐾🐾
Hahaha thank you 🫶
I was later to the monsters Ablo train but also waiting for “the one” super happy with my purchase but did pay more for it then what was average bit I will take great variegation with what I know to expect. I really hope you find your dream plants this year coming up!
Also loved the video like always! And love the Christmas background 🎄
There's someone on Esty in Canada selling the "Frosted Heart" right now! Like you, I have so many plants logged on my notes app... I even have H. sulawesiana on my list too! I would love to get a H. lyi (china) or lobbii (black), A. dragon's breath or black velvet, Scindapsus moonlight, or Epipremnum pinnatum (marble)
Oh I need to look - thank you!! 🙏
Philo Jose Buono is a great addition to a collection, it’s so easy and rewarding to grow!
Hi Fern. Love your holiday red lipstick!
Thank you so much 💞
Love those Hoya blooms on your wish list plants more Hoya are definitely on my wish list really want a big compacta I have tiny variegated compacta which I love but it’s just not growing?? And the pink velvet oh my gosh so stunning
The pink black velvet is beautiful. A local seller has full plants and corms. Corms were going for $400, that’s a car payment and a punch in the gut. Killing it would be too painful. But like you said, the your time and soon the price should go down as more people are growing them. Good luck ! Love the lipstick color, perfect for the season.
Oh wow! Yeah it feels like such a gamble to buy a corm, too.
Your lip color is so pretty!!!
Ooooh I can't wait to get my plants to you.. !
Love your videos Fern!! And I think you are going to like the anthurium wendlingeri 😍 is similar of the anthurium pallidiflorum is so cool too I just buy mine yesterday in ecuagenera live sale ❤❤❤❤
I have a new wishlist this year which to some may also seem quite surprising considering how many plants I have. I love how you said your opinion of that alocasia had changed. I think that's so interesting.
Those pink fuzzy Hoya blooms are insane! 😮
I’m more fussy and practicing patience with what ones I get as well….
And yes my taste has changed, ones that I didn’t like I started liking…
I have 2 frosted hearts, I really like how it grows with multiple growth points and the internode space is very close together, very easy care. I’ve never seen one before in plant shops and didn’t even know anything about it,went to a succulent growers and saw them for $5 which I thought was ok,only after I did some googling I realized how nice it was!
I’m after an Albo Monstera, like you I don’t wants a highly variegated one,I’m willing to wait for the perfect one! Can you please do a video on styling plants? 💚🪴🌿
Love the pot for the variegated string of pearls!!
me too! thank you :)
Your Christmas tree is beautiful
Fern! you need to get a Sharry Baby orchid! If you like flowers it can have SO many and is so fragrant 😍
Such a fun way to look forward to a fresh year ahead! 🌿 on my wishlist: variegated raphidophora tetrasperma, Hoya khroniana splash, and a monstera adansonii. I’ve yet to find one I absolutely love so I’m holding out for the perfect one!
OOO variegated raphidophora *adds to my list* hahah
I feel like you would love the philodendron Felix! Blue/ silvery leaves and a longer leaf too, I grow mine with a bamboo stake and it’s such an easy grower
Love your holiday decor, your tree is so pretty! Love your wish list for 2024 and that pink variegated alocasia is amazing! My main wish list plant for 2024 is a specimen size Bellina phalaenopsis!! OMG!!
Awe thank you so much! and I hope you get that Phalaenopsis!
Omg!!! The Alocasia - Black Velvet pink variegated looks so beautiful!!! Also, would love an Aglaonema - Manillas pride variegated. I love the Maranta - Silver band too. My Wishlist plant this year was a Syngonium - Pink Splash and I got one. So happy!!! Thanks for another fun Wishlist video. ☺💭🪴💖
Ahh that’s awesome, I love the pink splash 😊
early!! I love your vids so much keep it up👍
Awe thank you so much!!
Such a fun way to look forward to a fresh year ahead!
I hope the old plants can still grow well and healthy even though new plants will come into your collection🥰🌱
Thank you so much :)
New video idea: going back and looking at all the plants you unboxed and show them now like updates with the original unboxing videos
I've wanted the sulawesiana for like idk 3 years. Finally got one because you can rarely find them on Etsy for like 50 ish dollars now! (Not imported from Asia)
It is even prettier in person!
Oh my!! So amazing that you found one :)
Wishlist videos are always so fun. Cercestis mirabilis and Cyrtosperma johnstonii are probably at the top of mine
I got my mirablis from Plant Life Lex. Good price and great shipping.
Yearly plant awards video would be cool. Top 3 in different categories
I'd love a variegated african violet!
Video idea: Favorite plants of all of 2023.
One of mine is a Sonerila Sp Moonlight.
Oooo yes I def need to do an overall favourites vid! Thanks for reminding me :)
Of course that we don't need more but we want more so that's make sense!
BTW I love you and you're gorgeous!!
Haha yes! Thank you so much for watching 😃
You need to put on a greenhouse addition to your house
I wish!! haha :)
Your Aglaonema is stunning. I’ve never even heard of this before. I don’t remember you even you showing it before.
Begonia Amphixous is a really cool terrarium begonia
Those two Hoya are both on my wish list as well. I have 97 different Hoya varieties now but I truly want all 8000 varieties. But my collection is mostly Hoya. And I would clear my greenhouse for more Hoya!! Great list you have!! Happy you are so in love with your plants. Oh and don’t be afraid to take chances. I just ordered cuttings from Sweden to Texas and they arrived in 6 days and in perfect condition. Hugs!!!!
Ahhh I love that, Hoya people are the best! Your collection sounds incredible.
Hi Fern!! Always great to see you 🥰
Not much on my wishlist;
Bronze Maiden Orchid
Hoya Deykeae
Oo I also have my eye on the bronze maiden orchid lol! So pretty!
Thank you for watching 🫶
Omg ❤
U just showed my Monstera Albo in ur video🥰
No way!! That’s so cool haha you must have a gorgeous one 🥰 all the ones I showed were perfect.
Fern!!! I can’t even!!! i have a serious Alocasia problem as it is, at the beginning of 2023 I owned none, since June this year I’ve got 9 different ones ( plus doubles and Korm babies from the 9 ) and I do have your videos to thank for a couple of them but I had no idea up until now that there is a pink verigated black velvet out there and as an Alocasia fan and a fan of BlackPink, getting one is now going to become a lifes mission for myself somehow🫣🤣
Isn't it funny how tastes change? I used to not like begonia at all but got my 1st and love it
I've also learned when I see a plant I love, I need to wait a few weeks or months to make sure I truly love it
Wish list- simple and affordable but I hate paying $12 shipping
Pepperoni hope
Frydek
Brandtianum- yours is BEAUTIFUL
Crimson queen- also inspired by yours
Either Brazil or silver stripe
Goodness an undulata would be amazing, they are gorgeous 😍
They are incredible 🥹
I have also started to expand my little collection to other than Philodendrons, but they are still my favourite species. On my wishlist for 2024 I have Ph.Polypodioides, A. Veitchii and M. Subpinnata.
I really want a hoya sulawesiana too but I've heard the are picky and difficult so I'm not sure I should pull the trigger! Love this video! And love your gratitude 🙏 ❤
Hey!! The Hoya sulawensiana is super duper easy!!! I grow mine outside the tents and cabinets and it really is easy!!❤❤❤
Oh you have one?! So cool 🥰 and that is great to know!!
Try the one in, one out if you buy a new plant.
Video suggestion! Decorating your plants 😂 for the holidays or just in general. Adding cute charms or ornaments. Love your videos, Fern!
Thank you for watching 🤗
for sure go for anthurium veitcii, i did wrong decision of buying kinda bigger plant (for obviously more money duh) and other thing that i didnt knew about wide/narrow form (sadly) and i bought wide but still, have it for almost 2 and half yrs and no complain at all, room temperature, room humidity, bright indirect light and no leafes stuck, no damage, no problem at all, happy (big) plant, happy plant dad, only goods, no bad caracteristics
