Eva B and Kaifi Khalil are both from Lyari, a neighbourhood in Karachi that was known to be a no-go area in the past decade when crime in Karachi was at its peak. It's been a ground for social and political activism since a long time, being one of the oldest and most densely populated areas of the city with a very diverse community. Its one of those areas that have managed to change a lot in the past few years and created an unmatched sense of community. No wonder that it is home so many artists, singers, rappers, and sports people. Kaifi Khalil also makes a reference to Lyari in this song.
Kinda like Dharavi in Mumbai. Though Dharavi wasn't "dangerous" In the sense that Lyari was perceived to be but it was a slum area and something people looked down upon. But the talent that has emerged out of Dharavi is massive and also many small scale industries exist there. It's almost a tourist spot now. Happy for Lyari and the people

I really appreciate how you dive into the background details of each and every song, makes me rediscover them all. May I suggest that in your videos, keep the subtitles to the song on so that we can read them while watching your videos as well.
I like the fact they are using less blue screen and actual sets, they've kept a certain rawness. Also liking the diversity of singers so far and how they are giving each singer respect regardless of age and allowing them to present themselves as they are

It's Kana not Kaana, it means "karta hu" or "karte hain" depending on the context.
Each song will have a new set as you will find out in the next video, you girls need to keep up, they are dropping them left, right and center. Every song is a new gem so far this season, live music videos, plus the reason why CS has always been awesome is that it introduced the hidden Pakistani talent to the world, including the masses of Pakistan, so Xulfi giving the reins of the show to the youth literally fits that narrative, all the sweet goodness of CS with a flair that attracts younger audience as well. Great reaction again girls, I agree that it ends really quick and you feel like you want more and I guess that's the creative genius as well. Be ready for another masterpiece in the next one.
Totally agree with what Shruti said, impossible to live up to Tu Jhoom so they gave us the next great thing on the other end of the spectrum. Love Xulfi's mind and talent. When the beat first dropped i definitely got whiplash but then Eva B showed up with her rapping and whiplash again. My goodness. I'm going to have this one repeat for a while. Great reaction ☺️

Loved the reaction, Jojo and Shrutz! As fresh as the song itself! Can't top the opener to season 14, but this mix of folk, pop and rap was like a breath of fresh air. The catchy rhythm, the colourful sets, the sheer contrast between the 3 genres of music, and just the way the whole song was recorded! Eva B was just brilliant - loved her confidence and her unique style ! Bring it on, Zulfi - we can't wait to see what else is in store for us!

Coke Studio just keep punching us into a different realm of ecstasy, genuinely didn't think they would be coming close to Tu Jhoom but this is another masterpiece. Tu Jhoom has it's own space and spiritual standing but on a musical parameter this has elevated our Pakistani music to a different level. I am so proud of Coke Studio for what they are doing. Nothing but immense love to them, your reaction was once again just so pure and genuine, thank you girls for your honesty and picking up on all the little little things. Brilliant work and keep up with the it.

It is in Balochi language but they are singing in two different accents. The young man and girl are singing in Liyari accent. Liyari is a district in Karachi with a large Baloch population. The set design also represents the small alleys, color ful windows, and the feeling of being entrapped into circumstances of Liyari. The neighborhood suffered violent gang fights in the past. It is still impoverished but the young folks are there are breaking the barriers with their immense talents. Thank you for your reaction.

Ha Ha Ha Ha.............When i listened to Tu Jhoom, I was crying, and when i listened to this one, I was smiling and laughing, with some tears still trying to roll out..........What can i say........I am not the only one crazy out there, but there are 180 millions crazy's like me who are infected with the bug called Coke Studio, which has roped in another variant called XULFI.........XULFI..........XULFI.........you are a prophet and we are living in the ancient era where miracles were a daily affairs. The Singers, the Musicians, the lyrics, the set.........all have become miraculous under the uncanny wisdom of a crazy savant called XULFI. When i looked at the duration of the video i was a bit saddened, because it felt a little short, but nay, this is perfect in all realms and senses. If i die now, i will be happy that i heard 2 best songs in the history of Coke Studio.........................
