This is why most transmission shops don't offer "Carry Outs" on 700R4/4L60 transmissions. If you don't have a pressure gauge, you need to drop the pan to adjust the cable properly. There's literally like 1mm of tolerance for error.

Don’t know how old this video is, but this is an excellent way to burn up your 700r4 , if you are not checking speed shifting and tv line pressure
