this guy has become one of my favorite skaters. been out of the scene for a while, but watching nine club interviews and reviews, this dude is for sure one of the most gnarly out there.

He hasn't changed a bit. It was really nice to see. He's as humble as it gets. He goes "I'm up here because there was a contest in Everett" . He meant street league just outiside Seattle where he made the finals. I said I had started watching it the night before on CZcams and I asked him for a spoiler and he goes "I missed my last trick". That was all he had to say about how his contest went down even though he did so much insane stuff there.

It’s October 2023 and I come back every few months to see Phelps cheer for Ryan. Those were the days.
I dont skate but I love seeing these dudes just nail tricks...i wouldnt even try and jump down those steps..let alone do it on a board. Props to everyone who can do that :)

I remember skating with him an scooter back in like 03 at North Delta skatepark. There was noone around as passionate about skateboarding as these kids. I literally seen Ryan cry he was so upset when Scott showed him up on a trick he had been trying once. Congrats on the success, you deserve it.

I live dwntwn in SF, insomnia has me wondering around the city at night. I walked to here at 3am; completely& utterly ridiculous that someone kickflipd, let alone fcking ollied that considering the size.. it's hard to appreciate the sets/rails/ect these guys tear up until u see it w/ur own eyes... A screen can dwarf the magnitude of it all.
