    Can't wait to get the Performance mods done on my ST150. Done all sorts for it on my channel, but so so so much more to come

    That's some awesome torque! In the states those really lack it in stock form.
    Need better motor mounts indeed, you're lucky it's still in the car lol
    Do your Fiestas have roll restrictors? The 2.3/2.5 in our Fusions/Milans do and it keeps the motor planted very well, better of course if you fill them with polyurethane.

    • @DanstengineeringCoUk
      @DanstengineeringCoUk  Před 3 lety

      aha it does need a roll restrictor really and we will be looking to add one when we take the head off again.
      The Fiesta's don't have one as standard so it would be nice to build one for these higher power applications.

      @DanstengineeringCoUk  Před 3 lety

      The 2.5l Duratec is from some US spec Fords like the Fusion. We import them and can offer a fully fitted and tuned service or just the engine. It is bolt on except re-routing a couple of belts and the intake/exhaust manifolds would need porting to suit the larger ports. You would also want aftermarket management to run the VVT or you could get the standard ECU mapped to run without VVT.

    @chunkylove76 Před 3 lety

    Do you find fords are hard to get any real power out of without a turbo ,not knocking anything you do it’s just 2.5 on itbs and only 200 bhp might as well stuck a stock k20 in it

    • @DanstengineeringCoUk
      @DanstengineeringCoUk  Před 3 lety +2

      That depends if you consider peak power only, or the entire rest of the RPM range. The K20 might be a good alternative, except for the 50lbft deficit across the entire RPM range.

      The only reason to go smaller would be for low down torque surely? Our other installs (rwd lotus 7's) make 225lbft+ on 50's so I'm not sure there's any gain to be had. Likely the shorter inlet and smaller exhaust on this car is slightly prohibitive
