I never got into games workshope table top games, but the miniatures always looked great. But I am still amazed at how people paint them. You do a very good job. I have only painted models of real world vehicles when I was very young. But never anything small. This amazing. :)
I have done the same with buying poorly painted models from ebay; I picked up a sizeable High Elf army for one hundred British pounds and two Wood Elf characters for about three. The best thing to use for stripping paint is Dettol. Soak the models in a tub for 24 hours and scrub away with an old toothbrush; on both plastic and metal. The only thing to remember is not to incorporate water until all the paint is removed and only to wash the models at the final stage, then leave to dry.
another great tutorial! can i suggest using a dark blue e.g chaos black and regal blue 50/50 up to a pure regal blue for the black it gives a really nice effect to looks pure black but with highlights :)
Nice work Alexandra, on a side note it seems that brush your using is nearing retirement :) tip is almost gone. I know I have a tendency to stay attached to a brush and use it even though it's not the best, nice to see I'm not the only one reluctant to change
krell ohne rote teile das ist interessant. die mini kommt doch mein ich noch aus der "roten ära" oder? ist auf jeden fall eine die ich oft naja...sehr bunt gesehen habe...ist aber viel schöner wenn das painting girl das ganze in gedeckten tönen macht...bin da jetzt nur durch gehopped bei der nächstne mal session lass ichs ganz laufen. grüße
Ich habe eine Frage, warum benutzt du nicht das Grundierspray von GW sondern Grundierst mit Pinsel und Farbe, gibt es da einen bestimmten Grund dafür? Danke im Vorraus

watered down hawk turquoise washed into the recesses of the armour makes a decent verdigris effect

the rusting technique with Blue- is Verdigris not "corrugated" thats a type of way to produce metal sheets...
@gcndavidmn The Mat varnish is a bit tricky imo, it tend to make your models look like they have a layer of frost on them if you are unlucky

i assume when you were painting the gloves and saying that you were using snakebite leather, that you really meant scorched brown?
