I think it would of been a lot better if Micah was a mole/rat the entire time, hell, if the Pinkertons even put him in with the gang just to sabotage them and take down Dutch, I felt this way even more after thinking back to the early stages of the game. Who always tries to get to Dutch to go back to Blackwater? Micah. What's waiting in Blackwater? Pinkertons. Dutch even thinks that the ferry job was a set-up and who persuaded him to follow through with that job? Micah. It really feels like Micah was always trying to lead Dutch in the directions of the Pinkertons. And even after I basically knew he was the rat, I was slightly disappointed when they went the route of "He's only been a rat since after Guarma." instead of, he's been a mole the entire time. I think the betrayal would of stung a lot more if we found out that he'd been aligned with the Pinkertons since the beginning. With Ross finding Micah dead at the end of the game, it shows even more that Micah was working with Dutch again, just to lead him to the Pinkertons. He may of spent all those years trying to earn trust back, so he could complete his mission, of sorts. In the end, Dutch seems to finally realize this and that's why he kills him. The game is such a beautiful and well thought out story, but this one part kind of messes it up for me, only slightly, of course.
dont forget that arthur was also telling dutch that they had been getting sloppy for a minute. dutch had a huge ass price on his head before the game even started, so it would make sense that they would be kinda following and keeping an eye on him
What do you think prevented Micah from just killing or hog tying Dutch one night while at camp if he was so in bed with the Pinkertons? He could probably have done it where nobody knew it was him.

All of this is clear if you pay attention to the credits in the end.
At the end of RDR2 Milton told Arthur Micha was a rat But what if he was lying. I do have evidence Milton might have said it to turn Arthur on Micha also later on in the Mission Micha said " and you believed him black lung" what would Milton have to gain by exposing his rat. During the fight Micha never mentioned him being a rat you think he would use that as a taunt but he doesn't.

You were talking about Agent Ross and Milton, Ross goes on to form the federal bureau of I think investigation, I read it in one of the newspapers in the epilogue or just after the epilogue. He was essentially J. Edger Hoover, he worked for the Pinkertons, then later the Federal Gvt. Anyway I was listening to your video and you mentioned him and it reminded me of that point. Sort of like Waxman is Theodore Roosevelt, instead of storming San Juan hil it was some other hill in Guarma or one of the other islands, etc.
I would have liked to see John Marston have a choice of two endings. He could have followed Sadie or listened to Abigail and chosen to stay (thereby avoiding the entire original Red Dead Redemption).
I noticed it when they had the credits cutscene of Ross finding Micah’s body. Obviously Micah got the money from the Pinkertons and obviously he was trying to lure Dutch there to either kill him or hold him prisoner. Yes, this would’ve changed the entire RDR game, but this just makes the story even more interesting. If John had not went out for revenge with Sadie and Charles, the Pinkertons would not have went for John. Why? And like I said, I don't see Dutch walking away from money when that's all he ever cared about. We don't know how long he was there before he opened that cabin door but I'm assuming he took half of it and doing a good thing by John and his family he left half knowing they were there. It just doesn't make sense to me what so ever for him to walk away and not take any money at all.

Some theorizes that Jack does become a writer or at least writes the book shown on Franklin's bookshelf Red Dead by J. Marston. So the timeline at this point would be RDR2, RDR1, then GTA5... yeah, probably missing something too which I'm sure someone will correct me.

This would give more history and insight into the gang, let you see dutch before he changed into the crazed guy from rdr2, and show what really happened in blackwater.

I would have liked to see John Marston have a choice of two endings. He could have followed Sadie or listened to Abigail and chosen to stay (thereby avoiding the entire original Red Dead Redemption).

I noticed it when they had the credits cutscene of Ross finding Micah’s body. Obviously Micah got the money from the Pinkertons and obviously he was trying to lure Dutch there to either kill him or hold him prisoner. Yes, this would’ve changed the entire RDR game, but this just makes the story even more interesting. If John had not went out for revenge with Sadie and Charles, the Pinkertons would not have went for John. Why? Everyone in the gang, save for Sadie, thought he was dead from the “one last train” bit he had with the gang.
Sackett Snodgrass eh, all the gang members in RD1 were there with the Arthur confrontation when John showed up. So Dutch, Bill, Javier and Micah knew he was still alive

one of the amazing things about red dead redemptions story is how the difference between characters like john and arthur and characters like micah and dutch is that john and arthur redeemed themselves and stopped running from their fate wear-as micah and dutch never found redemption kept running and died doing the same thing they had always done weather it be snitching or having a plan

And like I said, I don't see Dutch walking away from money when that's all he ever cared about. We don't know how long he was there before he opened that cabin door but I'm assuming he took half of it and doing a good thing by John and his family he left half knowing they were there. It just doesn't make sense to me what so ever for him to walk away and not take any money at all.

Some theorizes that Jack does become a writer or at least writes the book shown on Franklin's bookshelf Red Dead by J. Marston. So the timeline at this point would be RDR2, RDR1, then GTA5... yeah, probably missing something too which I'm sure someone will correct me.
@@yixsa5157 I theorized that rdr3 will take place even earlier. Where you play as one of the gang members that dies in the Blackwater heist. This would give more history and insight into the gang, let you see dutch before he changed into the crazed guy from rdr2, and show what really happened in blackwater.
