    The Prime Go definitely has its own niche. As just one of several mixers I own( Denon MC7000, MC6000Mk2, Vestax VCI 400, Traktor S4Mk2, ) it has its place in my entourage. It helps me cover all the bases.

    I really appreciate this review. I’ve watched it like ten times. I think you’re the only one on CZcams that has put these two side by side. I have a Rane One and the Roland 707m, but the Prime Go has been calling me. Having to learn Engine DJ and the lack of stem functionality are the two things holding me back from pulling the trigger. Though I know stems is a serato thing. The 707m has a sharper cross fader than my Rane One believe it or not 😂. One of my controllers would have to go through if I did get the Prime Go which would be another dilemma. 🤷🏾‍♂️

      Man thanks for watching! I appreciate the feedback. I don’t have a lot of experience with the Rane One, that’s a hard dilemma. The Prime go having its own battery stand alone is big. It also has really good sound drivers. Hopefully the relook Flux will allow us to use the Prime go with Serato.

Sadly I am having audio drop outs whenever I am moving the fader on deck 2 the right side. Been having this issue for a couple months now and now it is annoying me. Have you had this issue before with your prime go. if so, what did you do to fix it? please let me know. Meanwhile im deciding to go buy the denon prime 4+ or just go back to serato while the prime go gets fixed. Thanks bro.

    You can't compare a battery deck with a plug up ac power deck. Especially when the Prime Go is really the only deck that has this capability. Also the standalone capability of the Prime Go is incomparable. It does not need a computer. Denon gear is the only gear you can really compare the Prime Go to. Now if you want to compare a Prime 4 with the Roland. That makes more sense. Since you can also run Serato on that deck & it has 4 channels. The size is just not comparable. Also the value of a Prime Go is the ability to mate it to a battery powered speaker. And play in a park with no generator or power block for about 4 hours. Dude you can do a mix in the bed with your PJ's on with a Prime Go. Lol.

    • @PhearNoneGearGadgets
      @PhearNoneGearGadgets  Před 2 lety

      Battery power isn’t the only aspect of a DJ deck. Battery power is a unique feature yes. However as a mobile DJ when going to purchase a smaller mobile set up both decks are and option. Ironically when I purchased both decks, they were side by side in B&H. They were both also the same price. I compared them for the consumer having to choose between the two, and who might not know or understand the differences . The Numark mixstream pro is also standalone and has internal speakers , so my point is there are many factors to consider when purchasing DJ decks which is why they should be compared. Thank you for feedback I appreciate your opinion.

    • @djfrankib45
      @djfrankib45 Před 2 lety

      @@PhearNoneGearGadgets The Numark is still not a battery powered rig. The 1st reason why Denon made the Prime Go was because it was battery powered. The size was a big part also. Just look at the commercial they did. They take the deck on the airplane, they have it in the back of a car preparing tracks. Before the guy switches to his main setup at a venue. And they even have a DJ playing on a mountain top. No other rig can do this. Really the Go has no comparison at the moment.

    • @peter7998

      @@PhearNoneGearGadgets I have the Numark, BUT it's a bit annoying to me. firstly there is no way to make playlists without the computer (come one, it has a computer insuide - how hard can it be to prohgram a gesture to move a track into a playlist of your choice?), Then there is an issue when I want to change the pitch of a track that is playing it doesn't allow me even though the SYNC is off. The pitch slider has to be moved to the max or min point to somewhat reset the fader and then it works, easy for the prepared track, but horrible if you need to adjust a track that is currently playing!!! Finally it developped a fault when a right PLAY/PAUSE button became unresponsive, so sadly it goes back to Amazon. I have informed Numark abou the shortcomings, and even though they were professional ,I don't think they understood the sheer lack of having the ability to create playlist without a PC for a standalone player....how can it be fully standalone if you need a computer to do such an easy task?

    These are two different animals. One is standalone and the other is a traditional controller. I don't see the comparison. GO wins even without the battery. You can easily use a portable battery. Effects box or portable mixer for the mic not a big deal. The closest competitor is the MixStream by NUMARK.

    • @PhearNoneGearGadgets
      @PhearNoneGearGadgets  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey man thanks for watching! I have a few reasons why I compared these decks. When I went in B&H they were right next to each other in the display case. They were close to the same size. They also had the same price point at the time. As consumers we are posed with that choice right away and if you are a new mobile DJ or buying a gjft for a new DJ there will be nuanced choices that one will have to make. I made this video to help those people. I love both decks for different reasons. Yes the battery power put the Denon in a unique league off it own. However after that I feel the comparison gets little grayer. Especially if footprint is important to the buyer or user. The Roland needs a computer and power yes, but the Roland has effects and more control over its mics. All you need is two pieces of hardware with the Roland. Then Denon having to pull out an effects pedal or mixer adds to the footprint making you have to bring the same amount of gear out for both decks. If the GO had mic effects it would be a much clearer winner. Thanks for the feedback again!

      Yes but they are both fruit. If you are looking for your first pro deck, which one do you buy? They both cost the same amount of money. This video is intended to help those people who see these decks side by side on display, as I did in B&H. Both decks also have sound cards, faders, jog wheels, and use a ton of similar I/O. All of that can be compared. A Tesla is full electric car and a full gas Lexus can still be compared on how they drive , the same goes for these 2 decks in IMO. Thanks for the comment, I appreciate the feedback.

      Both are $1000, one has onboard efx for mics, a drum sequencer, an osolator and zone control for different mixes in up to 3 rooms, and you can save preset tunings for rooms that you regularly spin in. So there are many other choices, were you want to spend $1000 if your just getting your first pro deck.
