    Totally agree with most of your “cons”. One major con for me is that when playing a playlist on auto play mode, you can not use any fx on that chanel; not even the filter can be used which can impede easy mixing out of a playlist. I truly admire your versatility and talent. Keep doing what u do and have a great “22”

    I'm thinking about getting one of these for gigs where I'm expected to bring my own gear. I'm tired of lugging my huge Pioneer controller around lol. The fact it has pro-level outputs is what's sealing the deal for me

    Hello there buddy, well I did a gig at a bbq at a friends place with the prime go, worked super for me from beginning to end. although couldn't see the screen since i had the screen settings to max and not only being able to see the screen my seat was too low. I tried sitting at the edge of my seat and still couldn't see the screen clearly. I also found a mac apple laptop stand laying around in my house and it's a great use for someone djing with the prime go and not have to worry about neck issues. I tried using it at the gig but was too high for my seating level.
    other than that, all else went great. the aux channel is pretty awesome for me because in the event someone wants to request a song i dont have i can then plug in my iphone and play off of youtube and works beautiful. only thing I wish the prime go had or rather say the engine would have had was the sampler layout like serato dj pro where you can store samples and play them throughout the gig. whats your take on thet?

    • @PhearNone7
      @PhearNone7 Před 2 lety

      Glad it worked out for the most part for you. A lot of people like to tilt the prime go because of neck issues. Make sure the screen brightness is on max with battery as well if you need it that way. It will kill the battery faster however. Serato has a patient on the way they display so it hard for other companies to copy the user interface. If the screen could tilt and the mics had effects, I think the next version of the Go would be hard to beat.

    Great video my man! I'm new to djing and just picked up the Prime Go. As far as SD cards go, it was recommended to use a fast card so transfer speeds would be quicker. Did you find that too be true? Also, how large of a card did you end up using?

    Hey I found a couple of ideas for playing samples through the prime go but requires anpther hardware. Yeah since the prime go has an aux line on the back of the unit either plug an iphone to it and play samples or dj drops from within the iphones apple music player or plug an actual sampler that can trigger all samples at once or trigger them separately. I have the circuit rhythm sampler this can really do the job right.

    Thank you PhearNone's, Has the mic's situations changed? I mostly need to be able to EQ my mics. I have a store with a open box demo for $800 but if I can't control my mics it's no good to me I already have 2 Rolands 707 that I love and Denon 8000 for my DJ company. Also one year later for you with this unit is it worth it?
    Thank you

    • @PhearNoneGearGadgets
      @PhearNoneGearGadgets  Před 2 lety

      Even with a new hardware update (2.2) coming out I haven't notice any change with the mic situation. You only can control volume. The unit is worth it for me because of its portability and quality craftsmanship , and sound card in the deck. I am able to put the Prime Go in my carry on luggage with clothes and also the battery power aspect comes in handy when I need to setup quickly. If you are not doing many mobile DJ gigs it might not be worth it for you. But the quick set up and breakdown is for me right now. I still am getting use to navigating on the smaller touch screen vs serato but I am glad I purchased the deck overall. If they make a prime Go 2 they should fix a couple of small things. hope this helps.

    Hi there, nice video of the denon prime go. I myself is thinking of purchasing this soon but at same also looking at other denon models in the prime series such as the prime 4 and sc6000 media player and as well as the x1850 mixer. My question to you is what format does the drive have to be to use with engine software and being able to play the files on the denon prime go.
    Because I currently use a laptop macbook pro with serato dj pro and the format i have it in is mac formatt. I also currently own a denon mcx8000 dj controller for use with serato and it still works great but it is a big bulky controller. so Im looking to purchase the denon prime go. I heard that the drive would to be formatted in fat 32 but that was some time ago and wonder if now it can be in any format.
    As i was viewing the video i noticed the black table you had the prime go sitting on and would like to know what store did you get that black table from or what is the actual brand & name of that table so i can search and purchase it too.
    please let me know. thanks in advance.

    • @PhearNone7
      @PhearNone7 Před 2 lety +1

      Hey thanks for stopping buy! When you put the engine software on your laptop run your external drive that you use for serato through the engine software kind of the same you we do with serato. It will make a prime folder that will store the songs calibrated for engine. Make sure you run all you songs through the software so you don’t get a missing file while DJ’ing. As far as the table I use it’s a quiklok 233 table. I did a review on it a while back.
