  • It was the summer of 2008. I had been weaned on various childhood products including Rugrats, Blue's Clues, and Sesame Street. I was a student at Rogers Elementary School in Tucson, which has been closed for eight years now. And I was discovering various logos and stuff that had appeared on VHS tapes and DVDs that I had, mostly by way of a new website called closinglogos.com. It had embeds of videos from some site called CZcams. I wanted to write stuff on it and maybe post some videos but I found out you needed an account in order to do either of those two. And so it was at the age of nine years old that I created my very first CZcams account, JesseLee812, on September 7, 2008, just 27 days before I turned 10 years old.
I wanted to post stuff on it but didn't have the ingredients for a post on my own, since I had Windows 98 at the time. No web cam or other forms of video editing software yet. I was one of the very last people to switch to Windows XP, which I did in March 2009.
The first video on the new CZcams account ended up being one of the worst videos, if not THE worst video of the 2000s. That video, "Mister Rogers Neighborhood closing from 1970", was the by-product of a 10-year-old who just got Windows XP thinking he had the closing credits from Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood from 1970. The credits for that iconic TV show (my made up ones) were on a .MSWMM file and CZcams wouldn't post any file with that attachment, so, without thinking, I posted my equally made-up .WMV credits for THE BRADY BUNCH and said the video contained the "closing credits from "Mister Rogers Neighborhood" in 1970". The comments for this gem are priceless and accurately written. They include:
"Way to spam CZcams with false words and keywords."
"Whoever the blowhard is who made this... Mr. Rogers is rolling over in his grave. Cut it out!"
"What kind of bullshit are you trying to pull?"
"WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT?!"
"Shame on you Mister Rogers will haunt you"
I think Mr. Rogers himself would be proud of me for saying, "How glad I am to have made the worst video with your name attached and survived." And to prove this point, in October 2017, I posted the ACTUAL closing credits from Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood from 1970, which came from NeighborhoodVideo. Today, I repost the real credits, as this is the 10th anniversary of my post of the fake ones. NeighborhoodVideo didn't give a shit about my reposting stuff from that channel.
