Even though my owners manual says to use 0W-20, i don't. I either use 5W-30 or i mix it with 0W-20. Depends on the season.
Winter gets the mix. Summer gets the 5W-30. And changed at 5K intervals, with fully synthetic.
Oil changes are cheap, especially when I'm the one doing it. Engines, turbocharger, and new vehicles are not cheap.
If i get 15 years out of my current vehicle like i did with my last one, all the better.

Use the oil recommended by your car manufacturer.
Lexus South Africa put 15w-40 duding oil change. The temperature gets down to zero here. I think it hurts my engine😢
I hv a subaru and on the manual they recommend 0W-20 but am in Africa where its hot.. can i use 5W-30?
In Africa yes, better 5w30
@@RankOnTopENok so my 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.5 non turbo calls for 0w20 but can I use 5w30 I live in USA Tennessee central
And what about 0w/40 why did ,nt you talk about that
He's advocating thin oil so you save fuel for humanity 😅
I bet his car is run on 10w50
All great, but 95+% of cars on the road today cannot take these new oils, as they're not made for them.
Don't pretend it's 'the best' as often it is not, putting wrong info in many people's heads.
Everything depends on the make, the engine, year built, the climate and way the vehicle is operated, it is definitely not a 'one fits all'.
