I just realized Troy opened the video with talking about the birds and the bees with his players. As in, literally talking about the birds and a bee.
Some of it sounds like the Roger Cumstone & Steve origin story
I dig this group. Ross never ceases to amaze me with how quickly he can embody a character, Rob is hilarious, and Noura and Kate add some much needed class to the act. Troy, you keep the network alive. Keep it up, y'all.
Kate's adorable "...frown line sour?" confusion made me laugh so hard, I had to put my paintbrush down. She's just so earnest and rad. Glad to see her on the GCN again!

Hearing Kate’s recap of the vision reminds me of Madeline Khan’s role in Clue, just the sound and pacing, it’s some entertaining chemistry across the cast!
This is shaping up to be an amazing horror RPG. The players are great and Troy is killing it as a GM.
I think this is my 3rd watch through of this campaign. This show and Delta Green are amazing.

I'm truly digging Robs Style of RPing. This has to be most perfect cast on the whole internet for a Call Of Cthulhu game. He definitely brings something fresh to the table. I love his character he created. I'm excited to see how he dies. I'm also excited to see his back up character. I feel he's going to keep each one very unique. Ross and both the girls are top notch. If a stream like this could win a Emmy this one would sweep it. I have said this a bunch of times these need to be on network tv.
Troy! If you get a full size cut out of yourself and leave it by the feeder the birds grow accustomed to it and then eventually you go and stand in the same spot in the same position.my sister used to do this she was a wild life bird vet. They will land on you eventually
Yes. That is something that happens to kind people as they get older. They appreciate the impermanent beauty of life a little more. Small problems disappear in the rapids that wash away all but the most heartfelt of matters. The real you stands as a rock, parting those waters as they erode you as well.

Haha good story. Heroin and cocaine was legal nearly everywhere in the early 1900s. Considered a miracle drug for cough suppression and pain. I think Heroin is actually the brand nam that Bayer invented.
plus, Coca[ine]-Cola had been around since the late 1880's [el'sda2].
So the real reason Rob's character is in Peru is to assasinate the guy who makes the medicine that keeps his wife alive?

you can make friends with most animals. i know a few a birds, all of th neighbrhood dogs and cats, and i currently have a praying mantis friend who laid eggs in my frog tank, i call mama mantis and she likes to jump at my face when we meet and she buries herself in my beard sometimes. they only live 1 year or so though, so mantis friendship is quick and hard! She doesnt hunt so we became friends at the end of her life but we are watching this together right now.

I had an uncle who attracted a blue jay to his window every day and it would eat sunflower seeds out of his hand. There were also chickadees in the local forest when I was a kid that would land in your hand if you could convince it that you had seeds. But ya, overall they're stupid lizards.
Birds are surprisingly mean too, if you watch their behavior. Dinosaur brains! I still think they’re purdy though. Birds is ok by me.
I love this campaign. What I always like about this scenarios and H.P. Lovecraft is how well this is placed in the real world and history so you can really belief everything is for real :).

first the question. based on the bird story in the beginning. Is Troy now a Disney princess?
feedback: lovely scene scoring heroin. The game is set long before 1931 which would be the time Bayer stopped the official production. "scoring" the drug would have been walking into a pharmacy and buying it. But I believe the scene/prep/added backstory was better than just going to the pharmacy :D
The sharp turn this comment takes is magnificent. Even moreso if taken out of context.

I was thinking the same thing with the guns and heroin. Buying a pistol in circa 1920's peru should be easy. Bayer (yes the aspirin ) sold heroin tables in the 20's. Funny thing is you could have procured both at the local drug store of the day.

Troy. You want to make friends with birds? Start by making a life-size rag doll dressed in a Red Sox cap a hoodie and an old pair of your jeans. Set it in the backyard against a fence or a tree or your house like You're decorating for Halloween. Next sprinkle the black oil sunflower seeds all over the dummy, on the shoulders on the bill of the hat on its lap etc. Just keep doing that for a week or so. Maybe 2 weeks. Then whenever you feel like it dress up like the dummy go sit in the same spot and sprinkle bird seed all over yourself and just wait for the birds to show up. Sit very still don't make any sudden movements. Eventually they'll start eating out of your lap and even your hand. You might get crapped on a couple times but that's half of the fun

Wow, first time seeing Kate's tattoos. Very well done by the artist. This group is so great. I really didn't expect to laugh this much during a CoC adventure, but it has been wonderful. Also chuckling that all those Black Dice Society episodes listening to B. Dave read that warning about Ravenloft, and poor Noura really needed one last episode as that was way more traumatic than having your patron speak through your fiance.

I love having bird feeders outside my office window. I also have a few hawks in the neighborhood that swoop down to eat the smaller ones... So I've found a pile of feathers before sadly. But mostly just a few gangs of different birds that return to eat hundreds of dollars of bird seed every year, lol. Male cardinals aren't going to land on your finger Troy, but if you want to investigate yourself, they love sunflower seeds the most (in shell) so if you find that near the other bird seed, they will return forever.
Nothing like offsetting my Monday morning work chaos with some GCN Time For Chaos.

I have and read the books, but couldnt run it so far. So nice to hear it hear, very atmospheric. They did such a good job with the new prologue.

I lived in Manchester by the sea for 2 years above the video store across from Crosby's market. I also worked at Crosby's market in the Delhi for 2 years.. Then I moved to Gloucester and what a party town that was. I was 21 when I moved. That was about 25 years ago. I was a hippie kid with dreads in the 90s Manchester by sea didn't care for me much. Lol Foster was more of my pace. I got free rent in the basement of a Mansion overlooking Cranes beach it had it's own cliff and private beach. The place was gorgeous. I tended ground there and other chores it was actually a lot of work. But nothing was like waking up to that view and it was a really cool place to bring chicks back to. I miss my 20s. Im 45 now. the family that owned it came there only 2 or 3 times a year for only a week or 2 each time. This place was huge you needed a golf cart to get around it. No had access to Kayaks They had several boats. God I think im.having a mid life crisis now. I really miss my 20s. I lived at school on girls dorm floor for 2 years also. Now that I look at it. I was really blessed back then. I was also touring with phish it was my second year doing summer tour. I still tour today . packing the car and leaving early in the morning for 3 days of Phish and Debauchery on the board walk in Atlantic City starting tomorrow.

Troy, all bees are female, except for drones, and drones only lives for 8 weeks, while the average lifespan of a bee is anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 years.
