    Anybody who actually watched Jordan play, cannot honestly say that Lebron is close to him as a basketball player. He is the unquestioned GOAT!! It is such a shame we only got 13 full years of him as a player.

    • @rickwelch8464
      @rickwelch8464 Před 7 měsíci +3

      This is not true at all. I have seen both play for their entire careers. Do you really think MJ could stop LeBron coming through the lane? The size difference alone makes it a much closer comparison than the MJ slurpers would have you believe. MJ was more fun to watch but LeBron is a complete beast as well.

    • @luciofilipe
      @luciofilipe Před 7 měsíci

      yes. jordan is a better defender. lebron was "stopped" by worse players in finals when it mattered. but you can't really stop high caliber players you can held them down a bit but thats al, still jordan is on a diff level @@rickwelch8464

      @@rickwelch8464 Ok, lets flip your question; do you think Lebron can stop MJ from doing whatever he wanted on the court? the answer is no. No one is saying Lebron is not a good player, top 5 for sure. However, if you have been watching basketball as long as you claim, it is plain to see that lebron was aided by the softening of the game, facilitating those easy drives to the basket with no punishment for doing it, and the unquestioned fact that the east conference was unequivocally weak throughout his time there. Whenever someone acknowledges that someone is the best at there craft, (Eminem, MJ, Tom brady, Gretzky, etc). None of whom is my personal favorite, then detractors have to come with Stan or Slurper as you used, which is lame AF.

    • @rickwelch8464
      @rickwelch8464 Před 7 měsíci +2

      @@fsociety7494 When one wants to support a claim but has no evidence they use words like "Plain to see" and "unquestioned" which is clearly lame AF and the mark of a slurper. Look, they are 1A and 1B and it's simply preference as to which is which but to say MJ is clear cut goat is definitely in question. MJ never had to DRAG an entire roster of scrubs to the finals, and he had a hof coach his whole career and was surrounded by talent. And to answer your question, yes, LeBron could likely hold MJ down to a reasonable number on any given night with his size and dominant ability in the lane. MJ better hit jumpers all night or get fast break points if he wants a big night. Top 5? You really need to stop hating for the sake of hate. Lemme guess, Kobe? bahahahahha

      @@rickwelch8464 Yeah, Top 5. Kareem, Magic, wilt, others have arguments, can be shuffled for many however they like. My favorite player growing up was Allen Iverson (who would be in no one's debate), I just loved the toughness and how dominate he was for his size. Doesn't change the fact of what I was watching, and again here we go with the new age troupe, if you don't agree with someones stance on a issue, your labeled a "hater". Easiest tool to pull out, in all walks of society. For some evidence I recommend a video czcams.com/video/tl3mR6eoEa8/video.htmlsi=iQtSlcvJZqjraSA0.

    Jordan had this cool aspect to him, where he absolutely hated
    it when someone talked shit about him, and absolutely loved an "impossible" challenge. So, if he heard someone talk shit about him before a game ("he isn't going to dunk on me," "let's see him try to get past me," etc.), Jordan would go out and just absolutely destroy that particular player on the court. Dunking right in their face, etc. Then, when games got really close and the Bulls were down by a point or two, Jordan would go out and make some crazy, final seconds play that won them the game.

On the flip side Lebron is also first in Turnovers for his position and in first all-time in the NBA. He is also first in missed free throws for his position and top five all-time in the. NBA. So, as great as Lebron is he has some serious deficits. Jordan does not lead the league or is top five all-time in any negative categories.

Not only the Bulls won the game, MJ was the MVP and in defiance, signalled back to the player and saying "you can't see or catch me". That was a hell of a statement right there. Also, he's known by Jordan Air for a reason. He simply was the player with the highest time spent in the air, he could jump higher and further than anyone else. And when the Bulls got Scottie Pippen, MJ said to the team boss to take part of his wages to pay for Scottie's wages. What a MAN and player. Still my MVP.

    It was a thrill to watch him play. He played all out all the time. He was deceptively fast, and quick as a cat. But it was his basketball IQ and his mentality that made him stand apart. Yes, he had bad games... Yes, he missed shots with the game on the line. He felt like it was those things that made him better. The Pistons beat him up physically. He started the breakfast club and lifted weights early in the morning before practice to get stronger. He met every challenge head-on and never backed down. He praciticed like he played and that was intentional, as well. Practice like you play... He was also quoted as saying "why would I worry about missing a shot I haven't taken yet?"... He was just different - the total package. I don't like to discuss greatest of all time because the league has changed over the years and there have been players I never had the privilege of watching. But, MJ transcended the sport... People that had never watched basketball were drawn to the game... he became the most popular person on the planet in the 90s. Not sure that one could say that about any other player.

    I didn't realize it at the time, some of the best memories I had were staying up late with my dad on school nights watching Jordan and the Bulls. You never knew what what to expect, just that Jordan was going to do something amazing. I'm older now, and my dad has passed, but watching these mixtapes bring me back in time for a little bit.

    There are those certain players in every sport, that you never want your team having to play. Those guys that just break your spirit as a fan b/c you know that no lead is safe, that if they have a shot to tie or win at the end of the game they'll do it. Bird and MJ were like that in the NBA, Farve and Brady were like that in the NFL. MJ just did things it seemed every night that made you wonder how it was even possible, stuff that you did at the playground goofing around, but here he's doing it, successfully, in an NBA game.

    I'm not a big basketball fan. But Jordan is the best who ever played, Lebron is great but Jordan played in the defensive era, it was harder to score points. You can't compare them, Jordan is 🐐, out of reach, from another galaxy.

    Need to do a Larry Bird Mixtape reaction. He and Magic Johnson were a few years ahead of MJ and played back in a time when it was “real” basketball. MJ inherited the prosperity that those two layed the ground to.

    One thing about his first retirement that people forget is his father was murdered and he wanted to honor his father's wish to play pro baseball so he did during his retirement from basketball but he couldn't stay away.

    I was still a kid when MJ dominated the game. I had become an adult when LeBron did the same. Comparing those two, I feel the same way when people compare musicians - at that level, they are no longer playing the game, they are on a higher level where they are just having fun and expressing their creativity (and us mere mortals are loving the entertainment). Results/titles are comparable, but then things like opposition/team budgets and whatnot enter the picture, a fuzzy picture.
    This channel is awesome, love the reactions and especially the variety (music/sports etc). I look forward to the movie reactions...

    Jordan was the only one that people came to see DESPITE it being against the team they were rooting for. Till they got to the playoffs, there was no booing Jordan, cuz that's who they came to see. And when he played for the Wizards and came back to play against the Bulls, there was a freaking 5 minute standing ovation for him. No one is cheering for Lebron except the team he is currently playing for, and the second he leaves that team and jumps ship to another one, they won't ever cheer for him again..

    I’m from Chicago. From MJ’s first championship to his last I never missed a game. I was a fan. However, many refer to Jordan as the Goat, but he never beat Larry Legend. Michael didn’t win until he had help from some teammates, like Pippin. On the other hand, Bird in his first year in the league took a 29 wins team in 1978, to win 62 games in 1979. Watch Bird’s passing video to determine for yourself why the Hick from French Lick ic the GOAT!
