I think what you share with us on your channel is like a lost art in our modern, busy and bustling world, Nikki. Some view the loss of this art called home making as a sign of victory of revolution. Some mourn the loss of it. I think you are awakening the senses we have in us but have been misplaced or buried by the influences of our society. At least I know for myself, you have awakened my slumbered senses of a homemaker. Things I viewed as oldschooled, or waste of time, or nonsensical, or impossible before, now I think they are wonderful, and important, and definitely qualities to value. Dressing properly and presentable is one of these qualities i had lost but now found again. 💕 stay safe in LV, Nikki and family! ☺️ ~mandy

For the last 14 years I've always lived across the country from my grandparents, finally I get to live 30 min from her but I havent seen her as much as I would like (my grandpa passed 8 years ago 😢) you have inspired me to go over and visit with her, my kids love listening to her stories. I want to thank you. I am newly married and pregnant with our first child. Last night I just got completely overwhelmed and fell apart. Today I put on this video and took the time to take care of myself. I slowly took care to clean and moisturize while being thankful for every part of my rapidly changing body. At the end of this 19 minutes, I have come out refreshed, relaxed, and able to take care of some things. Thank you for reminding me to be mindful of the moments I'm in and take time to do the basics to keep myself feeling good. It only took 19 minutes and has changed my entire day

Beautiful video Nikki, it’s so important to find joy in everything we do, for without joy, what’s the point...? A moment in time, no matter how trivial will never return. So important to capture these simple little moments, for they will be the foundation form which you will nurture yourself in the future. It’s so important to make time for the simple things. I even sometimes stop in the middle of what I’m going cause my cat is asking for a hug and then continue on. Your videos are such reminders of these important moments in life! Thank you Nikki 💙🙏🏻

I really enjoyed this video. Made me tear up a little missing when my children were little. Makes me wish I had done things differently. I agree with taking the time for your grandparents. My last grandparent passed away in September, but I’m grateful for getting to be with my husbands grandfather. They are so special.

I wanted to tell you also that while we were watching the part with you setting the breakfast table with those gorgeous pink dishes, my 9 year old daughter Amy burst out with "Nikki, I just love you! She helps me to feel so much calmer during this terrible time." (For the record, I agree!)
Lastly, I had to smile when I saw you reading Little House in the Big Woods to your girls. I have read that series to all four of my kids now, and I loved it every time. The first book is the best though, I think - so many wonderful, charming details of daily life in that cozy little log cabin. Definitely a classic!

Love this video Nikki! It was a great reminder, especially the part about letting your child be around you and learn from you. Sometimes we feel like everything has to be done in a rush and would rather do it by ourselves but then we have not taught our children those skills and it also leaves us feeling like we are alone in our work when they really wanted to help.
