- Nearly a thousand Pokemon and there are still unused dual types, unused type combos. So let's make some Pokemon for our Kaskade region that fill in those type combos! Simple concept right? I'm sure it's original.

Here we go over Mercryni, Desoray, Specoey, Opakespiel, Prospeqtor, Tamroast, Qayagus, Yanmage, Bloomage, Nomobjeka, Mienflux, Kleptarak, Sighlo, Cooreds, Buggaesack, Kaskadian Skuntank, Kaskadian Excadrill, Kaskadian Yanma, Kaskadian Raticate, Kaskadian Exploud, Kaskadian Palossand, Kaskadian Ambipom, and Kaskadian Crabominable.
Gnoggin, hosted by its creator Lockstin, is a show delving into the mysteries of Pokemon! (and other games sometimes too). Explaining everything there is to explain! Why is each Pokemon given the type it has? What are their origins? What is the lore of the Pokemon world and the design inspirations? And what does it all have to do with alchemy? Let's Go find out! - Hry
"Blood is too mature for pokemon"
"Hmm, yes, weed"
Parasect is literally a mind-controlled slave.
Weed is not too mature, and kids won't get it.
I know 😂
Monster? No. Definable? Never. I’m a kid kinda and I get it
@@eclipsegaming8375 by kids I mean the people that are young enough to need to be protected from that stuff
Maybe he is a stoner
That ghost normal opossum Pokemon is a stroke of Genius!
Agreed. Liked the overall designs too
The name is kinda clunky but the idea is great
He should have called it "oppear"
It's oppossum and shakespear together and it sounds like appear, since it's more than it appears to be
True, I was planning to make a possible ghost type possum for my region but now I feel like it couldn't compete.
Is it broken, though?
It looks good, but it would 100% be an easy mode.
For the bug/normal type final evolution you could have called it Skweevak. From 'Ska, Weevil, and Sack' and I feel like it rolls off the tounge better to make it more memorable
Some Pokemon could have idfferent names for things based off of where people talk about it like real life
Yeah that's good
What if it has a split evolution instead
I think bugesack is fine
Reminds me of the popular mispronunciation of square feet that Kurtis Conner did by accident: squeat
What if this “Thunder bird” is a road runner that rivals Wicoot?
Not really beacauss they work together
But it would be funny
Maybe it’s a Loonatics Unleashed deal where their descendants are are teammates.
Oh my god yes
@@Spider-Menace1048 It's a reference to Chuck Jones's Road Runner and Wile E Coyote cartoons. It can be like Seviper and Zangoose, only comedic.
Mercryni NEEDS an Evolution, it's so cool and that type shouldn't be wasted on a solo line.
It could be a fossil pokemon
And the evo should be a should be a blastoise like pokemon were it fire it at out of small cannon under or over its eyes

As a big ska nerd, I’d like to pitch the name “Triwayvil” which would be pronounced “Try wave eel” combination of “third wave” and “weevil”
So, ska is typically talked about in “three waves” the first wave being traditional Jamaican ska, the second wave being the British ska (see The Specials, Madness) and the third wave was the American that hybridized with punk (see Less Than Jake, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Reel Big Fish, and so on)
Plus, your design already has three trumpets! Not sure if that was intentional but I think it works with the name and the theme.
tri wave eel cuz tri = 3?
That's a pretty great name and its great to see someone actually knowledgeable on ska give a suggestion but who the pronounces the second half of "weevil" the same as "eel"? It's not like there isn't a word pronounced "ill" either, I'm just confused by this.
Alien Platypus oh ya I meant “Ill” not “eel” my bad on that.
“Try-wav-Ill”
@@matthewlynn6108 tri-wav-ill? cuz tri = 3?
This is AWESOME. Love the concept. Although I do like mine better, but that's just me being me. However which yours sound much more appealing, cool, and over all better. I'll pitch my ideas though:
Barlarvae: Reggae(Music genre described in the video that originates from Jamaica), Bob Marley(Famous Reggae singer), Larvae(Baby bugs), and Barley(another grain that weevils eat).
Sacornet: Sack(Hacky Sack), Cornet(an instrument relating to trumpets), Foot Net(I think that's what it's called, but it's a tennis/volleyball esque game with a Hacky Sack)
Skaterkick(or Skatersack): SKA(Music genre), Skitter(To move quickly often referred to in the context of bugs), Skeeter(a pest), Kick(Hacky Sacks are generally kicked around), Sack(...)
Bollbrass(or Bollbrash or Boldbrass): Boll(Weevils Species that *migrated* from mexico), Brass(music instrument ), Brash(in this case Vibrant and Loud), Bold(BOLD)
Circulegae: Curculionidae(Family in which Weevils are a part of), Circle(Hacky sacks are in a circle, and are played generally in a circle), Reggae(Music Genre), Leg(Hacky Sacks are generally kicked)
Weedvalve: Weevil(the bug of inspiration), Valve(parts/areas of a trumpet), and Weed(slang term for marijuana, cause Reggae and Weed and... I'll stop now... again)
Qayagus is my favorite.
The Ambipom region variant is also just really cool.
Mercryni's signature move would be like mudshot except it's steel type (it shoots mercury) and has a chance to poison the opponent (if it has the base power of mudshot then it has 100% poison chance).
Lockstin: I can't have this lizard shoot blood out of his eyes. It's an E-rated game!
Also Lockstin: So the Kaskadian Skuntank is themed after weed.
Also idea: Kaskadian Skuntank is Normal type because weed has been made legal in that region. In other words, one could say it has been "normalized".
I hate this idea so much. It needs to happen.
Blood bad
Weed Good
Shouldn't it be Normal/Grass then?
Also sighlo and can’t be the only one who thinks that looks like a dong
I think buggesack had part in kaskadian Skuntank normalizing
Why would you just call it “Kaskadian Skuntank” when Skundank is so much better?
y e s
Leaving it open for people to name theirs that.
GamerFromJump *jojo YES sound effect*
skunDank memes
Would that not better fit one that is poison/water? He was referencing weed, and this sounds more like a skunk with a serious case of gangrene or some other form of rot.
I've always thought about a ghost/normal legendary that represents a gravedigger/gravekeeper of sorts, or a charon-based pokemon with a eerie lantern.
But the idea of the opossum shakespear is really good too!
For my own headcannon/fakemon region I have a set of four legendaries based on the four horsemen of the apocalypse, and the one that represents death is normal/ghost. (The others are dragon/bug for famine, poison/psychic for pestilence and fighting/steel for war)
Every time I see Kaskadian Excadrill all I see is the Crystal Guardian from Hollow Knight.
You can't tell me that mole isn't gonna be shooting laser beams out of its hands in the next second, Lockstin!

Why do I have a feeling that a Ground/Fairy Excadrill would be even MORE broken than its Steel counterpart? Offensively, it has STAB against 8 different types.
and steel and poison arent that big of a problem anymore bc of ground stab

*Oh sweet Arceus, what if its Speed goes up?*

Qayagus and Tamroast have to be my fav Lockemon out of all of them listed. Qayagus because I LOVE everything about it from its design to its inspiration, mostly the psychic/wizardry and the fungi/sage elements. As for Tamroast, I ADORE my coffee and if I were a billionaire living in a giant mansion I'd have a coffee bar and a massage room with these Lockemon specifically for those two areas. I really like it's design as well.
Lockstin: Makes Normal and Ghost type
Gamefreak developing Legends Arceus: Write that down write that down!
Kaskadian skuntank: “it’s mellowed out”
*Me: ...so basically it’s on a constant high from weed?*
Pro: won't Poison Gas the other pokemon on your team
Con: you have a skunk with the munchies
It's not high in weed, it IS weed.

*its a pp*
I was hoping someone would say it lol
We were all thinking it cheese caik
It’s could also be a tentacle....for other purposes.....
I mean to be fair, that picture of a real-world silo also looks like a…that. So if the Pokemon's design is based on a silo, this was kind of inevitable…Actually, this reminds me of the silo landmark in Slender: The Eight Pages, which Markiplier in his LP's of the game always referred to as "the big red dildo". Yeah there was no getting around this. But we did all think it, because we're all children of the internet. V_V
"There's more feet stuff"
Ok Lockstin
*Kinky*
I feel like meloetta would make a great psychic fairy type as a regional variant, like one of them in the fighting form absorbed nature energy and ended up loosing its normal type in exchange for the fairy type. Maybe it could’ve been caused by a native tribe worshipping it as a nature spirit and their prayers willed its fairy type into existence to incorporate the origins from lockstin’s fairy fighting type (which is really cool btw)
"Speak it into existence!" - Lacey on Kaskadian Excadrill
With bloomage, it would super cool if it only learned physical grass attacks and special fire attacks. It "casts" the fire attacks whereas with the grass it is already there just being used; like, leafblade via its wings.
You really want to try and make it a mixed attacker?
@@demi-femme4821 a nice all rounder :)
What if when you “knocked out” the opossums they have an ability kinda like mimikyu and they do their fainting action but then they come back to battle after it forces you to switch Pokémon.
PERFECT!
I like that
I think if it was against another player then the other player couldn’t see the rest of the health when it “faints”
What if it was normal type at first and after it gets knocked out and does the switch it turns into normal/ghost?

I understand that it's many months after the video has come out, but I'm loving the fact that Yanmage has a D-20 in it's orb
Fun/Cursed ability should involve that die! Each attack/move get a 1d20 roll and can affect damage output.
1 - self inflicted
2-5 - 1/2 damage
