The purple palette is a yes for me, the pink one is very similar to the desert road from byredo, it feels more spring than fall for me and that one is a pass
Hi Angela. Everything so far is a pass for me. My makeup collection has become carefully curated and I want to use everything I buy. Otherwise, what’s the point. Patrick T’s is a good makeup artist but his makeup never worked for me too. Sorry. Tired of the fake frenzy that marketing puts out. I’d rather spend my money on luxury skincare or doctors brand . Isabella Rossellini once said, when u get older, u learn what 5 products really work for u! Not there yet, but I understand her logic! 😊😂❤
Hi Angela, I agree with you, when a new product is announced to be on the market soon, it should be on the market very very soon. It is very annoying taking too much time and effort to follow up on it. Most likely when people are hot about something, it is only good for about 3-5 days, after that people will lose their interest. Shopping supposedly is fun, not a burden. I am exploring other good high end makeup or skin care, the person I am listening to, it's you. I am very thankful for your videos. Just let you know that finally I found the Lancome Eye Serum and Armani Liquid silk cheek tint 50.5 Rosy Cheek. I certainly will enjoy them this summer.
Hi Angel, thank you for your thoughts. I am not at all interested in the Chanel or YSL for fall. Not sure what they are thinking with these colors. I also love the Armani liquid blush. Guerlain is always a great product. Quality is superior. I am very disappointed in the Chanel products. Would love a Chantecaille update.

I am a firm NO on the Chanel quads. The more the Collective does, the more I’m wondering if I’m not really a Chanel customer. I thought this was a luxury company that made elegant beauty. Who is out there doing that? I’m not in for the clown show.
I can appreciate the collective's creativity but their collections do not work for me. I live in Sweden and everyone looks super natural with their eye makeup and I would stand out extremely if I would wear some of these new Chanel eye looks. I started to use Chanel makeup because I wanted to look sophisticated, elegant, and mature (I am often mistaken for a 18-20 year old). If I would wear these colors, I would make myself look even more "childish". Most of us want something simple and easy to use that is not too vibrant when applied quickly in the morning.
I agree about Chanel's summer collection, it feels like they're making us jump through hoops 2 buy Chanel seasonal collections,even here in U.S ,we don't have it available online,only in boutiques & it takes effort 2 get at the boutiques,I haven't done that bc I prefer 2 order it online than going 2 a bunch of trouble & inconvenience of getting a sales associate from a boutique & hoping they'll grace u with being allowed 2 give them ur money & even now the summer collection isn't available online here yet,I heard it wil b available online sometime in July,I think it takes the fun out of collecting Chanel makeup wen they make it so difficult
The Chanel collection looks really beautiful. I am excited to see it .I guess I had better fill out my application to see if I am eligible to buy it 😂. You are so right about how Chanel is treating their customers. They are reducing my desire to own it little by little. Hopefully this will change soon !!❤
It looks like the Chanel eyeshadow palettes match the colorful eyeliners that just came out. Use the matte eyeshadow with the matching “glittery” eye liner on top.I feel like they are a part of the same collection released at different times. 🤷🏻♀️
I heard that same theory from another beauty channel (perhaps Allison Chase?). The colors are interesting, but an all-matte palette of any color story is a hard pass for this gallery fast approaching 60.
I agree. I think the Chanel eyeshadow pallettes look like summer colors. It's a little disappointing. I have been a Chanel customer for many many years and lately, I find them a little disappointing.

Hi Patricia, I will review these quads for sure but I don't know when I am going to have access to them. You never know where Chanel will release first... lately some products have been disappointing and others are very good.
I think the new Chanel quads for Fall are cute, but for Spring, not Fall! I’m attracted to the Lilac too, but Chanel has a new Lilac single, so it may not be necessary. I did pick up the Lancôme bronzers in fair and light and the pink highlighter and I really love them. I enjoy the Patrick Ta Baby Highlighter, but it is very subtle. The reality is it’s impossible to pan a highlighter, so if you have enough, you don’t need to try them. Finally, I was waiting to see a review of the by Terry Bronzers since I only like very neutral or, even better for me, cool toned bronzers and I can’t tell from the photos!
Hi Rabbi, I will be skipping the ByTerry bronzers. They look a bit reddish on the photos which I don't like. I am thinking to buy Lancôme because the fair color is perfect for my skin tone. ❤
I agree. It's a marketing gimmick. I also dislike it when products are hyped and then sell out quickly. I am hoping all luxury lines will start using replaceable inserts for all makeup. "Am I going to use it" is a must consideration along with my budget.

Am I the only one who thinks that new Chanel eyeshadow color combinations are not wearable? I ordered my first BB luxe eyeshadow and a blush. I liked it so much that I went back and purchased another BB eyeshadow quad and a blush.
I have the same exact sentiments over this Summer collection: I wanted to buy 4 eyeshadow sticks, but they won't give access to them. And back when the Eclat de Nuit palette was released, I had to camp Nordstrom for random restocks. I'm getting bored of it and there's hundreds of companies ready to take my money.
Hi Angela, I will start by saying that Charlotte Tilbury, Patrick Ta, Lancome, By Terry are not on my makeup list no matter what they release or how viral are their products. I never liked lilac/lavender colour in makeup or not and the fact is on trend this year it doesn’t change my mind. The fall collection from Chanel in my opinion is not attractive at all. I don’t like the colours and on top of that they are matte. For me they are a hard pass and I don’t care if is the best formula ever. The new blushes are in store but I don’t use highlighter and I will not pay the price for half of the pallet. Also I must be the only person who doesn’t like YSL eyeshadows but they just don’t speak to me (permanent line or limited editions). The Guerlain complexion products are heavily fragranced and for me this is a strong reason to stay away. I love their lip balms and that’s it. Creme or liquid blushes/eyeshadows/bronzers are not my cup of tea. So everything with this formula is a hard pass. Dior fall collection is nice and people say that the formula is good. The new Hermes limited edition eyeshadow is on my shopping list. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
I really adore the prior YSL large clutch eyeshadow palettes, specifically the holiday releases. The one from 2021 has the prettiest, flattering formulas... Most similar IMO to Byredo, Bobbi Brown and Cle de Peau eyeshadow. but I haven't yet found a single quad where I like all the shades and I have seen the terrible fall out the topper shades have 😅
I have the blue quad from Dior’s Plan departs fall collection and love it. The colors are beautiful and quality is good. I’ve ordered the plum quad and the pinky purple and cobalt blue pencils. I also bought the plum, periwinkle blue, and pale shimmer nail polishes with the blue eye palette. All of them are beautiful and hopefully they won’t chip too easily.
We should just stop buying Chanel if they want to have customers working through a ridiculous process. I dropped Chanel as the quality isn’t great and they continually make the products smaller for more money! We can all do better. Stop buying it and Chanel will be gone🦋

I love and support your idea, regarding makeup purchases, Angela! 🤩👍🏻 Next to all of us, have a limited budget, it is important to watch out on our spending habits. Like some others have mentioned, I do think the new Chanel eye shadow collection for the fall, matches the Jardin Imaginaire Collection. I do like the blush/ highlighter duos. But they look different on your skin. The Light and Berry’s berry blush looks close to red, and the Gold and 🍑 Peach blush looks more orange. Both highlighters are beautiful! you REALLY don't want to miss out on the Lancome bronzer, even for your personal collection. They are the literally the best one I have ever used, and the only one that still shows up at the end of the day. The highlighters are nice, but not as outstanding as the bronzer
4:00 I am shocked to hear this. I know Superdacob has talked for years about how Chanel is trying to make everything more rare and exclusive, for example, limiting the amount of samples they give to the boutiques to give to customers, or making people pay for things that were originally little freebies, like the nail files and advent calendar. I myself have left Chanel boutiques without getting even ONE sample, which is why I always order online now despite living close to a beauty boutiques. I really don't like where this brand is heading, especially after the way they treated Virginie.
No for me. To me the cometes are really lost. There’s no cohesive story and sure individual pieces are pretty but the one with the blue hair wants anime nonsense, the red head is a gothic girl/ weird avant garde/ artsy vibe, and the only one with any hope is drammeh as far as I see. They’re all talented but it’s a bad choice to try 3 visions.
That's interesting 😅😅that might explain... I think there were some pretty pieces here and there but I'm not sure we understand yet what direction they are going into. We have seen a first taste but it seems a bit incoherent to me 😅

I understand what you mean about the Chanel summer collection. I was kind of glad I was “forced” to go to a boutique because I would have ordered the pink blush/ highlighter but when I tried both the peach one was much prettier on skin. The eye sticks are pretty but they are Easter egg colors so I am a little confused about the timing of the releases. It all seems a little chaotic this year. However I am still excited about the Fall eyeshadow quads. I hope they have enough pigment.

Oh Chanel don’t push your luck we have alternatives. Living in NZ it’s very limited availability. You have to put your name down very early and current Chanel customers got priority. I wasn’t allowed to purchase they went to customers!! I loved one palette I had to order it pay and collect it in the UK when on holiday weeks later. But this collection doesn’t appeal. I’m older and so glitter is out but totally matte can give a very dead look. I once bought a totally matte Chanel palette and it was a big error it doesn’t work for me. Oldies be aware light reflecting helps. Lilac is tricky. Lovely for the young and pale skin tone. The other the bright pink section probably wouldn’t work at my age. So it’s a No from me. The YSL I love. I might purchase that. I have had the problem with falling out sections in quads from Chanel and Dior but not YSL!!

My first Impression of the Chanel Eyeshadow collection is that 392 might appeal to more people than 394.I feel like the colors in 392 could be combined with the Plum color as a liner / smoky eye shade. Guerlain- I also love the Parure Gold foundation!! I used a full bottle before needing to de-clutter, which says a lot! I will definitely re-buy this one!! YSL - WOW!!! Look at the GORGEOUS packaging on these, this will definitely be a "MUST BUY!" 🌸💕🌸
I also did not enjoy Gabrielle at first but then someone purchased/gifted the Essence version and I love it, completely different, opens with beautiful pear note! Yet I do not reach for it that often. Thank you for mentioning the new version. Please review. I really enjoy your perfume reviews❣
Fall 2024 collections haven't excited me. All summer I've been wearing the Makeup by Mario neutral mattes with Chanel Jade Facetté on my eyelid. I'm sure something will catch my fancy in a few weeks. Have a wonderful week everyone.

I will for sure skip Chanel collection and Charlotte Tilbury foundation as it looks too glowy for my liking on swatches, however I’m super interested in new Dior stick foundation and contour - wondering what are your thoughts about that release? I personally really looking forward to it. I’m very tempted by Lancome bronzers, but they were not released in Canada yet. By Therry looks very interesting too (became obsessed with bronzers - probably need to exercise some restraint - lol!) I love your look - so fresh and elegant! 💕
Chanel has made it too much work to get overpriced & poor quality products distributed by politics in an archaic boutique system incapable of serving the continent of North America. After the nasty dried out crust on the makeup-dissolving “bronzer” that replaced the classic cream, I’ve found many of their products unusable or simply ugly. I’m completely unimpressed by lime greens or a continuation of the bruise/inflammation colors. 🤮 The economy is too uncertain for me to blow money on products unless I’m replacing ones gone bad thanks to the short lifespan of “clean” reformulations. I’m skipping a lot of potentially good (Lancôme) & definitely Ta fads or brands I’ve learned don’t work on dry/sensitive skin. I’m frankly underwhelmed by everything but Lisa Eldridge, Suqqu & the new Dolce&Gabbana skin tint which is lacking in the powders, eye & lip products that made it worth ordering internationally. Outside of the awesome Victoria Beckham mascara in the white tube & its Gucci counterpart, I may not buy anything else this year. It’s a good time to use up what I have & see if luxury remembers their customers who USED to pay their bills, but are put off by arrogance, exploding prices & poor quality. When a blind test of 2 for $5 on sale single Mac shadows is indistinguishable from $40 Chanel ombré singles, I lose all interest in the overpriced brand 😡😤
Agree - I personally think the whole "clean beauty" is a marketing gimmick to get people to throw away what they have and buy all new stuff. And the "limited edition" collection thing now is really awful - another way to make people feel like they MUST buy something they don't even need. Most of us do not need a new blush, highlighter, eyeshadow every 6 weeks - oh wait - we do because your formulas get moldy and nasty.

Charlotte Tilbury and Bobbi Brown have both been underwhelming brands in my experience. The Fall Chanel release shadow quads are not my preferred color story.
The new Chanel eyeshadow palettes for this fall look very pretty, but I agree that they should have at least one shimmer shade. I’ve never been a fan of all matte eyeshadows. I’m still waiting for their summer collection to arrive online as well, as I live in the states, but I live two hundred miles from the nearest boutique. I think the Bobbi Brown eyeshadow palettes are beautiful, but they’re currently only available in the UK, and I don’t know if they’ll ever come to the states.
Well Chanel created the various stages of a bruise pretty accurately… In the Netherlands all the new Chanel releases are very easy to get, and I got all of them with a 20-25% discount ( Ici Paris XL, Douglas) as well.
Hi Angela, I love the look of the YSL pastel quad. I recently got treated to over orange which I adore. I agree about the Chanel colours being more Spring but I have to admit I love pastels. I often don't buy autumn releases because they are so much deeper and darker and don't suit me even if they are beautiful, especially blushes. Ooh Guerlain, I enjoy their pieces so much. Guerlain Rouge G lipsticks are still the best out there, hands down, IMHO. While I think they did their customers wrong by making the new lippies incompatible with the older cases, their satin Rouge G’s are still my go-to. 💄
I do like the look of the Chanel quad with the purples and green. I personally wld like some more mattes in my collection. I agree with you with Patrick Ta over hype products. I tried a few things and just didn't understand it. Also, I have never been a fan of Gabrielle, I find it a bit too familiar, smells a lot like other white florals. Mind you, I will grab a sample of the new l'eau fragrance, just to see... 😊❤
😊Oh I was hoping you would do a beauty news!! I'm really interested in the new Dior blush duos. I have seen reviews and truly they look gorgeous 😍 especially the pink & lilac for fair skin. I'm disappointed w Chanel fall. I understand it's all matte and I really don't need that😅To be honest I Iive in a small town in the UK & can't go to any boutiques in person and I don't think I should have to fight and struggle for something as unnecessary as make up... It's not a luxury experience like that. So I don't appreciate a lot of luxury brands creating a completely fake scarcity and pressure to buy all these random releases in a hurry.
You can buy Chanel makeup online without all that hassle and exclusivity none sense. Also, I just realized that the Chanel fall quads are the colors of our Canadian fall leaves! No wonder I love their color curation. 😉🍁

For over a year now collections have been showing up at completely random times across the world, selling out right away and then randomly coming back. It's more a frantic hunt than relaxing shopping for luxury. And this is fully done on purpose to manipulate gullible consumers
Hi Angela, I also like Guerlain products - the quality has been good. I’m skipping the BB eyeshadow palettes as well. I invested in all of the Cle’ de Peau palettes and am still enjoying them. I purchased the quads from Bobbi Brown, because they were alredy 20 pct off here at Douglas in The Netherlands. They are on the way. Thanks for another super beautiful video!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩I don't know what to think about the Chanel autumn shadows. When the 2nd summer collection releases here, i order just a few eyeshadow sticks and than stop. I still want to be able to find my makeup, dear Angela, there are so many releases. The Yves Saint Laurent quads are beautiful!!! I only say stop i want this when its really fool proof or really special, even for my favorite brand Suqqu! There must fit more in a house than makeup. If I like a Matt eyeshadow colours, what I do ( in my case ) is use my Tom Ford sparkling colours ,and using a larger brush ,brush all over my eye! and it sparkles it a bit.
Angela, don't worry, you are definitely not alone with the curiosity over why Patrick Ta is so over-hyped. None of his products have ever interested me enough to buy them and they simply look boring. What sealed his fate was the slew of photographs I saw of fairly new, yet mouldy palettes. Since witnessing this, I will not go near the brand. It has never interested me in the first place and I know I'm not missing out. As for some other products shown, I like the look of the Chanel Quads, yet not if they're all matte or satin like the over-sized ones bought out either last year or previously to that. The colour stories are nice, yet hardly shades I haven't already bought. For myself to buy Chanel, it has to be something that really holds my attention, just like the Byzance Quads from last year. For me, they were something special that I bought them all and happily use them. I do like the packaging of the YSL Quad. Is it enough to justify its purchase is another story. I own all but two of their full-sized Couture Clutch Palettes that include the Spring pastel colour story from a few years ago. I definitely do not need the shadows, so I'll see how I feel if it eventually arrives in Australia. There were many Bronzers in this video and I'm not in any need for them either. That's an easy pass. Guerlain has much to do to make up for how they have treated their customers with the changing of the lipstick cases. That has not gone down well at all. Jen, from Allfeisty feels so bad for recommending the initial lipsticks, that she won't buy the new ones. I have so many lipsticks, including about ten of the silver-cased versions from Guerlain. I do have their entire range of skincare from their Abeille Royale Range, yet not in need of anymore. I'm afraid they have much to do to appease the disgruntled customers. In Australia, By Terry had released a new Eye Palette that was numbered as No.5 Paris Style earlier this year. It's a nine-pan configuration and not all of the pans are stamped, as they usually are with lovely Parisian scenes. Only five pans are stamped with their logo instead. I never saw this prior to their Christmas release of Opulent Star and have never seen anyone else with it either. When I Google it, it doesn't show up anywhere, not even on their website. It's no longer available here either. I was curious as to whether you saw this palette? Maybe, they pulled it due to it not going down well with customers that didn't like that they weren't stamping the pans? I contacted them about this and they did say that they will continue stamping them in future. I'm just curious as to whether anyone else got to see or purchase this elusive Paris Style? I definitely agree about Patrick Ta.. I’ve bought several items and I honestly don’t see what all the fuss is about. Plus, I’ve seen countless posts about how this most recent launch is a disaster, and how the formulation is really bad. The powder is really chalky and breaks extremely easily, and the crème is almost like Vaseline. I really wanted to try it because I love a good highlighter but I’ve seen way too many people have issues with it. That pastel YSL palette looks lovely though!!❤
I agree, and I mentioned the same in a previous post of mine. It's starting to feel like a process trying to chase down products (like they're doing me a favor to let me find one). That said, I still do like Chanel, but don't plan on putting a lot of effort into finding it. Also, do you know if you could calla boutique to do a charge send if you don't live close to one?

I’m 59 years old pretty good skin as I learned much from my mother . She is a faithful Dior skin care . And I learned to use skincare it myself . Taking care of my skin . My mom is 82 years old and has amazing skin still . No plastic surgery or anything like that I had a question. I was using Dior for about two years faithfully. Now I have in the past, however, talking to some consultants in Bloomingdale telling me to try something new as things of things that I use or someone uses doesn’t doesn’t work well and I find this to be true, I’m wondering as you’re talking about Guerlain what are your thought an about it . Skin care . I’m looking to try something new . I wore much make up in the past . Now I wear hardly any just lightly . As I’m older I can’t wear like I used to . I was a cocktail waitress at a casino and was necessarily as part of my job .unfortunately I’m disabled with brain cancer it’s okay but I’m home not work . Even though skin care is expensive I still continue to buy let me know what is good this year to buy and use need something different I like your personality very much I think you’re beautiful. Oh yes! I am ride and die with Westman Atelier products. In my honest opinion; their products are worth the price point and their customer service is quite excellent as well. I didn’t feel like they have cut cost on any aspects of their products unlike other luxury brands.
I would like to try the purple Chanel quad even if it is an all matte palette. The other pastel quad from YSL is speaking to me. The color story is fair but I can always use darker shade from my existing collections for dimension. 💄
Neutrals for me I'm not keen on the green purples I personally feel Chanel are now leaning towards the younger generation..I am happy with Dior at present thank you for the review...
I’m not a fan of the Chanel fall collection which is disappointing. The color scheme is on trend (those greens and lilacs) but it’s more of a spring /summer palette
4:17 turning blush into a fucking Hermes bag… the prices are getting there im 5:22 enraged by the change of cases! I’ve even given cases to Friends & now the collection is flawed?? GRRRR if you could show us how to swap the old Guerlain lipstick base with the refill Dior lipsticks (which was the manoeuvre, apparently) I’d be very happy about that.
IMO - I am very disappointed that some of the advertised Chanel cosmetics are unavailable in the U.S. (or at least where I live). Also, in several cases the on-line makeup offerings are sold out before I can purchase them. Recently, my approach has been to use the Chanel products that I want as a reference point. Then, I buy similar items from other luxury brands. Currently, there is nothing extraordinary about Chanel makeup, so the company has only been successful in turning my interest towards their competitors.
I just don’t understand how ‘French women wear minimalist ‘I don’t care’ makeup’ 2:50 then these French brand are designing cosmetics for whom? it is too vibrant for Asian tastes, so… is this designed for the Russians?
I hope We not going to have Hermesattitude at Chanel! I looked st the fallcollection- not for me. Boring and i am not happy with earlier quads since before. I like the singlesshadow since the formula suited my skin better than the quad.
Chanel makeup collections have sucked ever since Lisa Eldridge left. Lucia’s “creations” were horrible (red eyeshadow every season? No thanks), and I’m not impressed with anything from the past couple of years. They need to dispatch the current “collective” and get someone who will make colours that people in the real world can use.
I like Patrick Ta’s blushes but some stuff in them is so so toxic I wanted to love his stuff but honestly he is just one of many hat need to switch to clean beauty. To many hormone disruptions and endocrine disruptors, and carcinogens in some of these products 🥲🥲🥹

Hi Angela. Everything so far is a pass for me. My makeup collection has become carefully curated and I want to use everything I buy. Otherwise, what’s the point. Patrick T’s is a good makeup artist but his makeup never worked for me too. Sorry. Tired of the fake frenzy that marketing puts out. I’d rather spend my money on luxury skincare or doctors brand . Isabella Rossellini once said, when u get older, u learn what 5 products really work for u! Not there yet, but I understand her logic! 😊😂❤
Hi Angela, I agree with you, when a new product is announced to be on the market soon, it should be on the market very very soon. It is very annoying taking too much time and effort to follow up on it. Most likely when people are hot about something, it is only good for about 3-5 days, after that people will lose their interest. Shopping supposedly is fun, not a burden. I am exploring other good high end makeup or skin care, the person I am listening to, it's you. I am very thankful for your videos.
Just let you know that finally I found the Lancome Eye Serum and Armani Liquid silk cheek tint 50.5 Rosy Cheek. I certainly will enjoy them this summer.

Guerlain is always a great product. Quality is superior. I am very disappointed in the Chanel products. Would love a Chantecaille update.

I am a firm NO on the Chanel quads. The more the Collective does, the more I’m wondering if I’m not really a Chanel customer. I thought this was a luxury company that made elegant beauty. Who is out there doing that? I’m not in for the clown show.
I can appreciate the collective's creativity but their collections do not work for me. I live in Sweden and everyone looks super natural with their eye makeup and I would stand out extremely if I would wear some of these new Chanel eye looks. I started to use Chanel makeup because I wanted to look sophisticated, elegant, and mature (I am often mistaken for a 18-20 year old). If I would wear these colors, I would make myself look even more "childish". Most of us want something simple and easy to use that is not too vibrant when applied quickly in the morning.
I agree about Chanel's summer collection, it feels like they're making us jump through hoops 2 buy Chanel seasonal collections,even here in U.S ,we don't have it available online,only in boutiques & it takes effort 2 get at the boutiques,I haven't done that bc I prefer 2 order it online than going 2 a bunch of trouble & inconvenience of getting a sales associate from a boutique & hoping they'll grace u with being allowed 2 give them ur money & even now the summer collection isn't available online here yet,I heard it wil b available online sometime in July,I think it takes the fun out of collecting Chanel makeup wen they make it so difficult
The Chanel collection looks really beautiful. I am excited to see it .I guess I had better fill out my application to see if I am eligible to buy it 😂. It looks like the Chanel eyeshadow palettes match the colorful eyeliners that just came out. Use the matte eyeshadow with the matching “glittery” eye liner on top.I feel like they are a part of the same collection released at different times. 🤷🏻♀️

I think the new Chanel quads for Fall are cute, but for Spring, not Fall! I’m attracted to the Lilac too, but Chanel has a new Lilac single, so it may not be necessary. I did pick up the Lancôme bronzers in fair and light and the pink highlighter and I really love them. I enjoy the Patrick Ta Baby Highlighter, but it is very subtle. The reality is it’s impossible to pan a highlighter, so if you have enough, you don’t need to try them. Finally, I was waiting to see a review of the by Terry Bronzers since I only like very neutral or, even better for me, cool toned bronzers and I can’t tell from the photos!

I agree. It's a marketing gimmick. I also dislike it when products are hyped and then sell out quickly. I am hoping all luxury lines will start using replaceable inserts for all makeup. "Am I going to use it" is a must consideration along with my budget.

I ordered my first BB luxe eyeshadow and a blush. I liked it so much that I went back and purchased another BB eyeshadow quad and a blush.
I have the same exact sentiments over this Summer collection: I wanted to buy 4 eyeshadow sticks, but they won't give access to them. And back when the Eclat de Nuit palette was released, I had to camp Nordstrom for random restocks. I'm getting bored of it and there's hundreds of companies ready to take my money.

I will start by saying that Charlotte Tilbury, Patrick Ta, Lancome, By Terry are not on my makeup list no matter what they release or how viral are their products.
I never liked lilac/lavender colour in makeup or not and the fact is on trend this year it doesn’t change my mind.
The fall collection from Chanel in my opinion is not attractive at all. I don’t like the colours and on top of that they are matte. For me they are a hard pass and I don’t care if is the best formula ever. The new blushes are in store but I don’t use highlighter and I will not pay the price for half of the pallet.
Also I must be the only person who doesn’t like YSL eyeshadows but they just don’t speak to me (permanent line or limited editions).
The Guerlain complexion products are heavily fragranced and for me this is a strong reason to stay away. I love their lip balms and that’s it.
Creme or liquid blushes/eyeshadows/bronzers are not my cup of tea. So everything with this formula is a hard pass.
Dior fall collection is nice and people say that the formula is good.
The new Hermes limited edition eyeshadow is on my shopping list.

I really adore the prior YSL large clutch eyeshadow palettes, specifically the holiday releases. The one from 2021 has the prettiest, flattering formulas... Most similar IMO to Byredo, Bobbi Brown and Cle de Peau eyeshadow. but I haven't yet found a single quad where I like all the shades and I have seen the terrible fall out the topper shades have 😅
I have the blue quad from Dior’s Plan departs fall collection and love it. The colors are beautiful and quality is good. I’ve ordered the plum quad and the pinky purple and cobalt blue pencils. I also bought the plum, periwinkle blue, and pale shimmer nail polishes with the blue eye palette. All of them are beautiful and hopefully they won’t chip too easily.
We should just stop buying Chanel if they want to have customers working through a ridiculous process. I dropped Chanel as the quality isn’t great and they continually make the products smaller for more money! We can all do better. Stop buying it and Chanel will be gone🦋

I love and support your idea, regarding makeup purchases, Angela! 🤩👍🏻 Next to all of us, have a limited budget, it is important to watch out on our spending habits. Like some others have mentioned, I do think the new Chanel eye shadow collection for the fall, matches the Jardin Imaginaire Collection. I do like the blush/ highlighter duos. But they look different on your skin. The Light and Berry’s berry blush looks close to red, and the Gold and 🍑 Peach blush looks more orange. Both highlighters are beautiful! you REALLY don't want to miss out on the Lancome bronzer, even for your personal collection. They are the literally the best one I have ever used, and the only one that still shows up at the end of the day. The highlighters are nice, but not as outstanding as the bronzer

4:00 I am shocked to hear this. I know Superdacob has talked for years about how Chanel is trying to make everything more rare and exclusive, for example, limiting the amount of samples they give to the boutiques to give to customers, or making people pay for things that were originally little freebies, like the nail files and advent calendar. I myself have left Chanel boutiques without getting even ONE sample, which is why I always order online now despite living close to a beauty boutiques. I really don't like where this brand is heading, especially after the way they treated Virginie.

No for me. To me the cometes are really lost. There’s no cohesive story and sure individual pieces are pretty but the one with the blue hair wants anime nonsense, the red head is a gothic girl/ weird avant garde/ artsy vibe, and the only one with any hope is drammeh as far as I see. They’re all talented but it’s a bad choice to try 3 visions.

I understand what you mean about the Chanel summer collection. I was kind of glad I was “forced” to go to a boutique because I would have ordered the pink blush/ highlighter but when I tried both the peach one was much prettier on skin. The eye sticks are pretty but they are Easter egg colors so I am a little confused about the timing of the releases. It all seems a little chaotic this year. However I am still excited about the Fall eyeshadow quads. I hope they have enough pigment.

Oh Chanel don’t push your luck we have alternatives. Living in NZ it’s very limited availability. You have to put your name down very early and current Chanel customers got priority. I wasn’t allowed to purchase they went to customers!! I loved one palette I had to order it pay and collect it in the UK when on holiday weeks later. But this collection doesn’t appeal. I’m older and so glitter is out but totally matte can give a very dead look. I once bought a totally matte Chanel palette and it was a big error it doesn’t work for me. Oldies be aware light reflecting helps. Lilac is tricky. Lovely for the young and pale skin tone. The other the bright pink section probably wouldn’t work at my age. So it’s a No from me. The YSL I love. I might purchase that. I have had the problem with falling out sections in quads from Chanel and Dior but not YSL!!

My first Impression of the Chanel Eyeshadow collection is that 392 might appeal to more people than 394.I feel like the colors in 392 could be combined with the Plum color as a liner / smoky eye shade. Guerlain- I also love the Parure Gold foundation!! I used a full bottle before needing to de-clutter, which says a lot! I will definitely re-buy this one!! YSL - WOW!!! Look at the GORGEOUS packaging on these, this will definitely be a "MUST BUY!" 🌸💕🌸

Chanel has made it too much work to get overpriced & poor quality products distributed by politics in an archaic boutique system incapable of serving the continent of North America. After the nasty dried out crust on the makeup-dissolving “bronzer” that replaced the classic cream, I’ve found many of their products unusable or simply ugly. I’m completely unimpressed by lime greens or a continuation of the bruise/inflammation colors. 🤮 The economy is too uncertain for me to blow money on products unless I’m replacing ones gone bad thanks to the short lifespan of “clean” reformulations. I’m skipping a lot of potentially good (Lancôme) & definitely Ta fads or brands I’ve learned don’t work on dry/sensitive skin. I’m frankly underwhelmed by everything but Lisa Eldridge, Suqqu & the new Dolce&Gabbana skin tint which is lacking in the powders, eye & lip products that made it worth ordering internationally. Outside of the awesome Victoria Beckham mascara in the white tube & its Gucci counterpart, I may not buy anything else this year. It’s a good time to use up what I have & see if luxury remembers their customers who USED to pay their bills, but are put off by arrogance, exploding prices & poor quality. When a blind test of 2 for $5 on sale single Mac shadows is indistinguishable from $40 Chanel ombré singles, I lose all interest in the overpriced brand 😡😤

Agree - I personally think the whole "clean beauty" is a marketing gimmick to get people to throw away what they have and buy all new stuff. And the "limited edition" collection thing now is really awful - another way to make people feel like they MUST buy something they don't even need. Most of us do not need a new blush, highlighter, eyeshadow every 6 weeks - oh wait - we do because your formulas get moldy and nasty.

Charlotte Tilbury and Bobbi Brown have both been underwhelming brands in my experience.
The Fall Chanel release shadow quads are not my preferred color story.
The new Chanel eyeshadow palettes for this fall look very pretty, but I agree that they should have at least one shimmer shade. I’ve never been a fan of all matte eyeshadows. I’m still waiting for their summer collection to arrive online as well, as I live in the states, but I live two hundred miles from the nearest boutique. I think the Bobbi Brown eyeshadow palettes are beautiful, but they’re currently only available in the UK, and I don’t know if they’ll ever come to the states.

Hi Angela, I love the look of the YSL pastel quad. I recently got treated to over orange which I adore. I agree about the Chanel colours being more Spring but I have to admit I love pastels. I often don't buy autumn releases because they are so much deeper and darker and don't suit me even if they are beautiful, especially blushes. Ooh Guerlain, I enjoy their pieces so much. Guerlain Rouge G lipsticks are still the best out there, hands down, IMHO. While I think they did their customers wrong by making the new lippies incompatible with the older cases, their satin Rouge G’s are still my go-to. 💄
I do like the look of the Chanel quad with the purples and green. I personally wld like some more mattes in my collection.
I agree with you with Patrick Ta over hype products. I tried a few things and just didn't understand it. Also, I have never been a fan of Gabrielle, I find it a bit too familiar, smells a lot like other white florals. Mind you, I will grab a sample of the new l'eau fragrance, just to see... 😊❤

I'm disappointed w Chanel fall. I understand it's all matte and I really don't need that😅To be honest I Iive in a small town in the UK & can't go to any boutiques in person and I don't think I should have to fight and struggle for something as unnecessary as make up... It's not a luxury experience like that. So I don't appreciate a lot of luxury brands creating a completely fake scarcity and pressure to buy all these random releases in a hurry.

If I like a Matt eyeshadow colours, what I do ( in my case ) is use my Tom Ford sparkling colours ,and using a larger brush ,brush all over my eye! and it sparkles it a bit.
Delices Pastel de Chanel is still their best drop so far. Unimpressed with all the other Chanel Beauty releases
Bobbi brown luxury lipstick is my favorite , better than Chanel, Dior, ysl

Angela, don't worry, you are definitely not alone with the curiosity over why Patrick Ta is so over-hyped. None of his products have ever interested me enough to buy them and they simply look boring. What sealed his fate was the slew of photographs I saw of fairly new, yet mouldy palettes. Since witnessing this, I will not go near the brand. It has never interested me in the first place and I know I'm not missing out.
As for some other products shown, I like the look of the Chanel Quads, yet not if they're all matte or satin like the over-sized ones bought out either last year or previously to that. The colour stories are nice, yet hardly shades I haven't already bought. For myself to buy Chanel, it has to be something that really holds my attention, just like the Byzance Quads from last year. For me, they were something special that I bought them all and happily use them. I do like the packaging of the YSL Quad. Is it enough to justify its purchase is another story. I own all but two of their full-sized Couture Clutch Palettes that include the Spring pastel colour story from a few years ago. I definitely do not need the shadows, so I'll see how I feel if it eventually arrives in Australia. There were many Bronzers in this video and I'm not in any need for them either. That's an easy pass. Guerlain has much to do to make up for how they have treated their customers with the changing of the lipstick cases. That has not gone down well at all. Jen, from Allfeisty feels so bad for recommending the initial lipsticks, that she won't buy the new ones. I have so many lipsticks, including about ten of the silver-cased versions from Guerlain. I do have their entire range of skincare from their Abeille Royale Range, yet not in need of anymore. I'm afraid they have much to do to appease the disgruntled customers. In Australia, By Terry had released a new Eye Palette that was numbered as No.5 Paris Style earlier this year. It's a nine-pan configuration and not all of the pans are stamped, as they usually are with lovely Parisian scenes. Only five pans are stamped with their logo instead. I never saw this prior to their Christmas release of Opulent Star and have never seen anyone else with it either. When I Google it, it doesn't show up anywhere, not even on their website. It's no longer available here either. I was curious as to whether you saw this palette? Maybe, they pulled it due to it not going down well with customers that didn't like that they weren't stamping the pans? I contacted them about this and they did say that they will continue stamping them in future. I'm just curious as to whether anyone else got to see or purchase this elusive Paris Style? I definitely agree about Patrick Ta.. I’ve bought several items and I honestly don’t see what all the fuss is about. Plus, I’ve seen countless posts about how this most recent launch is a disaster, and how the formulation is really bad. The powder is really chalky and breaks extremely easily, and the crème is almost like Vaseline. I really wanted to try it because I love a good highlighter but I’ve seen way too many people have issues with it. That pastel YSL palette looks lovely though!!❤
I agree, and I mentioned the same in a previous post of mine. It's starting to feel like a process trying to chase down products (like they're doing me a favor to let me find one). That said, I still do like Chanel, but don't plan on putting a lot of effort into finding it. Also, do you know if you could calla boutique to do a charge send if you don't live close to one?

As I’m older I can’t wear like I used to . I was a cocktail waitress at a casino and was necessarily as part of my job .unfortunately I’m disabled with brain cancer it’s okay but I’m home not work . Even though skin care is expensive I still continue to buy let me know what is good this year to buy and use need something different

Chanel palletes are beautiful. I like the colour combination, but they are more suitable for Spring I think.

Chanel 394 looks super 70s, no? As a designer I really like the color combination. However, I'm not sure I would like these colors in my face.
It looks like Dior is finally re-releasing the skin perfector. It's definitely got new packaging. Is there any word on if it was reformulated?
Oh yes! I am ride and die with Westman Atelier products. In my honest opinion; their products are worth the price point and their customer service is quite excellent as well. I didn’t feel like they have cut cost on any aspects of their products unlike other luxury brands.
They have a lilac and the green eyeshadow in there collection now in mono ?? Nothing new 😜

The other pastel quad from YSL is speaking to me. The color story is fair but I can always use darker shade from my existing collections for dimension. 💄

I’m not a fan of the Chanel fall collection which is disappointing. The color scheme is on trend (those greens and lilacs) but it’s more of a spring /summer palette

IMO - I am very disappointed that some of the advertised Chanel cosmetics are unavailable in the U.S. (or at least where I live). Also, in several cases the on-line makeup offerings are sold out before I can purchase them. Recently, my approach has been to use the Chanel products that I want as a reference point. Then, I buy similar items from other luxury brands. Currently, there is nothing extraordinary about Chanel makeup, so the company has only been successful in turning my interest towards their competitors.
I just don’t understand how ‘French women wear minimalist ‘I don’t care’ makeup’ 2:50 then these French brand are designing cosmetics for whom?
it is too vibrant for Asian tastes, so… is this designed for the Russians?
I hope We not going to have Hermesattitude at Chanel! I looked st the fallcollection- not for me. Boring and i am not happy with earlier quads since before. I like the singlesshadow since the formula suited my skin better than the quad.
Chanel #394 is pretty but probably not wearable or practical for me.
The Chanel fall colors look absolutely horrid. Well, I just saved a lot of money this autumn by not buying Chanel eyeshadows.
Chanel makeup collections have sucked ever since Lisa Eldridge left. Lucia’s “creations” were horrible (red eyeshadow every season? No thanks), and I’m not impressed with anything from the past couple of years. They need to dispatch the current “collective” and get someone who will make colours that people in the real world can use.
I like Patrick Ta’s blushes but some stuff in them is so so toxic I wanted to love his stuff but honestly he is just one of many hat need to switch to clean beauty. To many hormone disruptions and endocrine disruptors, and carcinogens in some of these products 🥲🥲🥹
