One time a blind guy thought me and my friend were laughing at him on the train, we were not laughing at him we were just high and being silly and he came up to me and said “ya know 90% of blind people can see something’s 10% can’t see anything” and then he got off the train.
I’m assuming the lady thought Dave was incapable of caring for his own child because he was blind.

However, this was changed to 97 when Andrew Devine passed away 3 decades after the disaster, having suffered horrendous injuries which eventually led to his death.
Whether people want to say there were 96 or 97 fatalities, there were more than 95.

I think in the last story the lady was referring to Dave's blindness, which is just an absolutely awful thing to do. Shame on her. As for the newspaper guy, like, okay, I kinda get his anger, but at the same time, when a tragedy has struck an area and then someone clearly inadvertently asks for something to do with it, like, use your head and go, "Oh, you're not from around here, are you?" and then explain, don't just shout. Poor Dave, that sounds like an absolute nightmare of a day. People can really suck sometimes.
On another note, the Hillsborough Disaster might make a good piece for Into the Shadows to cover... although Geographics covered it 5 months ago and I'm not sure what the etiquette between former and current channels is, so...

He was also an endless source of entertainment. He was arrested for smoking crack with a sex worker and went to prison. After he got out, he got in trouble for receiving fellatio in a prison waiting room, got busted by park rangers for marijuana and cocaine. Failed a probation drug test for cocaine. Pled guilty to tax evasion, accepting bribes from city contractors, admitted to plagiarism and funneling money from his ex girlfriend who he was charged with stalking and charged with impeding an investigation.

The hatred of The Sun on Merseyside is very real. Although I'm not personally a football supporter, I was born and grew up in Liverpool. All around me there were either Liverpool or Everton fans. Football is central to a vast segment of the local population. It's a religion to many. Hillsborough still sits in our minds to this day as a monumental tragedy, with a lot of anger still felt towards those who caused it, and those who rubbed salt in the city's wounds. On the day of the crush, I was visiting a friend who had their TV switched on. We were watching a live broadcast from the stadium as the tragedy was unfolding. It was heartbreaking. To have it subsequently misreported so brazenly, with such disrespect shown for those who died & those who barely survived, still angers me to this day. I doubt that I and my fellow Liverpudlians from that time will ever forgive and forget The Sun's conduct; and nor should we.
The one that got me was in a post UFC match, Paddy Pimblett said he wasn't asnwering any questions from the sun

The story is fiction. I do believe that the places are real and that Nottingham did have a sheriff. I can't remember if Robbin Hood was a real person or if he was just a gang leader who lived in a forest.

@Zebulizatuon while there are some who think Robin hood may be real, most agree he isn't. Or at least that there isn't one single person who is the inspiration of the myth. All do agree it isn't just made up whole cloth though. There are several people we know really existed at different times that seem to fit some part of the myth. So the most accepted idea is that Robin hood is a combination of them. A story based on one, or maybe no one to start, that as time went added more details, many from other figures lives.

There are people who outright hate that people with disabilities (in Dave's case, blindness) actually have a life. My sister is in a wheelchair but can walk a few steps. When she gets up at the store to grab something off the shelf, people have raged against her, one lady tried to steal her wheelchair but my dad chased the woman down, they have stalked her out to her car, verbally assaulted her, and reported the license plate to police for parking in the handicap zone. She had this trouble dozens of times when she lived in California. Now she lives in a small town where everyone knows her, and they understand her abilities.

@rhov-anion I'm in a weird place, I can walk normally for the most part but I will randomly loose my balance and the further I walk in a day the more likely it is to happen. So when I go out I use a walker just in case. However I find myself leaning on my walker and going more slowly than I'm able to because I'm worried people will think I'm faking it especially since I don't even know the cause yet so I can't just say I have such and such, now if I walk enough my legs do seize up and there's no need to exaggerate but I generally try to avoid triggering that as having my leg muscles tense and un tense repeatedly for hours is rather painful
