Spencer, if I have my own lot, do you know any builders offering that 4.99% on new construction or is that really just for houses they already have underway they are trying to unload.
You may get $$ to buy down an intrest rate, but I'm not sure of any that offer just a flat-out lower intrest rate. Most times they offer lower intrest rates for homes in communitys and you have to use their in house lender. Most builders will give a credit that you can use for closing costs, buying down intrest rate, etc.
